Good luck in the Eurovision Song Contest semi-final tomorrow, Estonia! The country has a great song this year and deserves to be in the Grand Final and win it all.
Ben Miller piece of Cake. Landlocked nation in North America. Shares northern border with Azerbaijan and Uruguay, bordered to the east by Ireland and west Virginia. Southern border outer Mongolia, western border Togo and East Timor-Leste, with small border touching Nunavut. Give us a hard one next time
Even though I'm Lithuanian, I am still very happy that a Baltic country was noticed. All three countries have some great snacks to showcase. For example, Latvia is known for their caramel candy and they are being sold in every single fair and are a delight.
That's a stupid question. Although I'm guessing you're trying to be generous, I'm sure there are a lot of disgusting Estonian woman just like any other country.
All of those sweets came to your countries when they were parts of USSR, because they are Russian sweets (praanik is dated 8th century Russia). :) I know your governments told you to hate Russians for the past decades, but Russian Empire and USSR actually gave you more good than bad (favourite foods, schools, infrastructure, power plants, etc.).
Avamander Salamander True, I didn't think of that. All the candies they tried can easily be shipped, still though, my fellow Americans need to try kohuke.
Sparkly Rainbow It's made from curd cheese and glazed with chocolate. Sometimes has a some kind of filling, like jam or more chocolate. Tastes sweet, obviously. They are really popular in Estonia.
When I was at this metal festival they sold sauna beer. It basically tasted like a birch tree soaked in brine for some years. Also, where the hell was kohuke? I absolutely love kohuke and it's genuinely Estonian!
UMMMMMMMM HELLO INTERNET (TH-cam)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone has tried Estonian, Russian and Lithuanian sweets,but..........ummmm........ have you forgoten whats in the middle of all these countries!!!! LATVIA, try our sweets they are amazing, love them!
Maruta Potāpova Jā, bet nav taču normāli saldumi Latvijā :D Ir tikai Laimas Zefīrs un Selgas cepumi... Laima pat nevar vairs šokolādi taisīt. Idk... Any suggestions?
No no no :D.. .im from estonia and those are not the best candies, you've should try more KALEV stuff ... like yeah, and actually estonian sweets are DELICIOUS ... HEY AND HOW TF YOU DON'T LIKE KASEKE???!!! ITS ALMOST THE BEST CANDY IN THE WORLD! :DD:D:D Oh, you american people are weird. AND HEY COME VISIT ESTONIA, ITS AMAZING COUNTRY, YOU'LL LOVE IT AND BUY ESTONIAN CANDY!
Actually none of them are Estonian sweets..except of pistachio candies which are made in our country. Kas ma olen ainuke kes on seda videot mitu korda vaadanud? Ma olen ainuke kellele ei meeldi kaseke ega pilveke ka mitte xd minu lemmik on üldse kalevi sokolaad.

I'm surprised. A video about something Estonian has more views than there are Estonians in the world.

Ben Miller Wouldn't be complete without more American bashing.
Ben Miller It is located on the east side of Europe , and it borders russia and latvia. There. No need for a video.
Ben Miller somewhere near russia is my bet
Snack Expert ? UMM WHERE CAN I SIGN UP ?
Javien _ I think they said that just because she's from that country xD
You have to go to Harvard and finish a bachelor's degree in critical snack judgement, only 5 universities worldwide offer the course!
I only know two things about Estonia. Arvo Pärt and Kerli.
+Rylee Strange Well they are the most famous too
But most people who listen to Pärt, don't listen to Kerli. Or vice verse.
Yeah different music
+Rylee Strange they invented Skype too. :)
+Juanitavibes Skype was made by Niklas Zennström, from sweden.
People pour maple tree syrup all over their pancakes but they are grossed out by tree flavored candy? I don't get it....
Space Cadet We also harvest sap from birches, maybe it was made using birch syrup?
Space Cadet Actually the candeys name is Birch but the candy it self is just regular chocolate. No birch taste or anything with wood. Only the name.
Veronika Rotberg It doesen't taste like regular choclate it definitely has something extra to it, but i don't know if it's birch.
randel aoveer Kasemahl äkki?
Space Cadet it acctually doesn't taste like wood it tastes like chocolate but sweeter. My point is THEY LEFT THE BEST THINGS OF ESTONIA OUT! -.-
Even though I'm Lithuanian, I am still very happy that a Baltic country was noticed. All three countries have some great snacks to showcase. For example, Latvia is known for their caramel candy and they are being sold in every single fair and are a delight.

Jaane Tomps Hey! I'm Latvian )
Jaane Tomps Yeah, so disappointed they skipped that one. Kohuke is like the first thing you think of when you talk about Estonian sweets.
Sparkly Rainbow It's made from curd cheese and glazed with chocolate. Sometimes has a some kind of filling, like jam or more chocolate. Tastes sweet, obviously. They are really popular in Estonia.
Jaane Tomps ah neid ma pole suur fän nendest
It would be so awesome if they tried it. I'd love to see their reaction 😂

Thanks to Ashens, all I think of Estonia as is "that country with the really good military rations."
Pryanik is basically Russian, from Soviet times. Delicious, if you don't have much to eat.
I know I was like what? I grow up in Russia and that was my favourite thing
It's delicious even if you have a lot to eat.
Pryanik, in its current form, was present in Russian Empire. So, it's not a Soviet product.

I'm from Russia. And I think that these sweets are common not only in Estonia, but also in other European countries from the Soviet Union
sansmart11 It's true. It certainly was an odd combination to pick for a video. There are plenty of good traditional Estonian sweets made by Kalev.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how beautiful that Estonian girl is!! And when she says the words!
