Such a fantastic take on the Superman and Lois dynamic. Since Lois knew Clark without glasses, the show needed to find a new way for Clark as the Blur to talk with Lois. And they found the perfect way to do it with the phone calls and their special phone booth.

This is it! The real first moment for Lois and Clark that was all about THEM :) Also, this scene is what separates Lois from Lana, Chloe, Alicia, etc. Clark went way out of his way here... just to make HER feel better about herself and her career. Awww, I love that! In addition to that, he WANTED her to know the hero side of him! That's what makes them GREAT ~ Lois Lane & Clark Kent/SUPERMAN :) She didn't have to spy on him...
Thanks for posting! This is where it all began for CLOIS :-)

This scene is the one where Clark finally falls for Lois. When she asks him at around 2:28 what it is that he needs, it's something that he was never asked by a woman before. It shows him that Lois is an unselfish girl unlike others he dealt with where they always wanted something out of him and being with them was no different than saving someone in trouble who needed his help to survive whatever it was they were in danger in. Notice the change in his expression when she asks him that question, like he's never been asked it before by someone other than his parents or perhaps Pete and other male friends.
Also the fact that he finally found a way to share both sides of himself with someone by showing his human side to Lois during their own interactions at work or wherever they hang out together and then sharing his Kryptonian side with her over the phone as the Blur is what finally gave him a chance of being his true self. It wouldn't be perfect until he told her the truth about himself, but it was a huge step in that direction.

I@@wtcvidman vc está correto!

This is such a great scene between them, even though it's Clark as the The Blur. I like how she was starting to have feelings for Clark at the same time she heard from The Blur. It makes everything sorta fall into place. :)

lol my gosh,,,i've been rewatching smallville,,,and it really shows you just how poor and pathetic the dialogue and scripts are in todays CW shows. Louis and clark...Lex and lionel.. some of the greatest dialogue ever. Lex and lionel going at it was really something else. That type of darkness and dialogue between father and son and yet some how keeping it non violent 90 percent of the time. This show is so good and really timeless. The writing in this show beats all writing today.

And a year later, nothing has changed.. They're too focused on telling the audience who's gay, or trans, or what horrible stuff someone said to them once, that they forget to write interesting characters.. In Batwoman, they pointed out that she was lesbian in every episode, and how patriarchy was screwing everyone. No wonder no one had the stomach to see it. Fiction isn't fiction anymore.. It's chock full of politics. In the good old days, shows took your mind off society's problems.. Now they're written into the shows.

Agreed!! The dialogue writing on this show was top notch!

Don't forget about the dialgue between Clark & Jonathan (Martha too) and the dialogue between Jonathan & Lionel. I loved the contrast between the Kents & Luthors and it was some of the best stuff in the show that hooked me to it. Between that and seeing how Clark & Lex became enemies I got hooked and the Lex-Lionel interactions were an added bonus that I wasn't expecting when I got hooked as of the original air date of Insurgence. Until then I caught an episode here and there but didn't take it as seriously. I remember seeing Rogue and Drone (I wish I stuck around as of Rogue but I think I missed some of the best parts of that episode when I was flipping through channels). The 2000s was the last decade of really good television with Smallville, Supernatural, House, and 24 (I heard great things about Lost too). Once the 2010s hit TV started going downhill and even series like Supernatural that got extended after Kripke left started suffering not long after (season 6 of SPN was the last really good season of that show before crappy characters, the ruining of good characters & retcons started plaguing it).

Now all they have to do is get her to say 'you've got me, who's got you'. But, I'm not holding my breath. Still, it's cool to hear the lines from the movie, or other Superman canon, like the 'Superman' calling Lois 'Miss Lane' etc.

I've watched most of the series and I can't stand Lana Lang.. every time she is one screen she ruins the scene, self absorbed spoiled brat.. but every time the Lois Lane character appears, its like a breath of fresh air... no longer a teen age soap opera, just a fine version of the Superman myth. Too much kryptonite on the planet, though.
The Blur moniker was just clunky, and there are some aspects of the series that is truly lacking but some are quite perfect. Well done.

Can you read my mind? Is it legal in your country to do so?
