I am Haitian, and I visited Kenya a few months ago. I completely agree with Prof, this is not a good call. Only Haitians can get Haiti out of its situation; a revolution led by the people of the land 🇭🇹

I am also Haitian and I disagree with you my brother we need the help from our African brothers. We do need more than Kenya to help us as Prof. mentioned. Kenya could be walking into a trap from our enemies that surround us. America, Dominican Rep and the list goes on. this is the only way I see the gang members being removed as they are placed and supported by the Authorities of our enemies

I too am Haitian who actually grew up there. So when you say revolution, what happens with the people suffering and dying in the meantime? Wait for some “revolution”? The priority should be restoring security as soon as possible and the weak police force needs a lot of help to do that. Once the people are safe, then you can talk about your little revolution.

Papa Doc was a wise president who trained his own army and built his own security to prevent what is happening today. Haiti did not need security from other nations during the papa Doc era. Gangs would have never existed if we had our own military base. Tonton macoute were not gangs they were trained military men who were trained by Papa Doc which the Western neighbors hated with a passion

After hearing PLO and reading through comments, it is easy to appreciate the complexity of the matter.
For a solution to be useful, a problem must clearly be acknowledged to exist by the people suffering its effects; they must be willing to get it out of the way.
In the case of Haiti, experimentation seems to have transcended the physical world; they have tried metaphysics in desperate proportions. This bit brings in a factor that further complicates their case.
The wearer of a shoe that pinches indeed understands attendant pain. However the giver of a comfortable shoe will only be useful if the wearer cooperates to have measurement of his foot made. And because he might even for reason desire bare feet, shoes must not be imposed on him.
Ultimately, Haitians know what they want for themselves; most know how it should get to them. They should be involved in architecting a solution to their situation. Apparently they have identified enemies who poison them rather than heal them.

    • @Eddynel
      @Eddynel หลายเดือนก่อน

Haitians want the same thing everybody else in the world want: security and economic opportunity. It’s not complicated.

His logic and counsel are undeniable, and if Kenya continues on this path, they must also get 700 body bags ready to welcome their fellow brave men back home. As an Ayitian, it is surprising that the Kenyan gvt accepts to be the black face of neo-colonialism and the iron fist of genocidal endeavors towards Africans of the Caribbeans yelling voiceless in front of international oppression. Indeed immediate action is necessary in a Mali like stence. For that, the Motherland is needed. Thank you Professor Chapoba (hat down)!

Prof. said, “Kenyan gov. has an agreement with the Haitian gov of Ariel Henry”.
Haiti has had no government since the assassination of the last president Jovenel Moise and the Haitian laws prohibited the intervention of foreign armed forces in the country.
It has proven that the armed gangs are managed and operated by the current de facto government and Haitian forces (Army, BSAP, and police) can easily remove the gangs if authorized.
THEREFORE, THERE IS NO NEED FOR KENYA TO SEND ANYTHING TO HAITI.
I will also add that culturally the Haitian people (gangs, citizens, and politicians) will team up against any foreign armed forces in a very short time.
HAITI IS NOT A PLACE FOR OCCUPATION OF ANY KIND!

    Dear Professor P.L.O. Lumumba:
I Have Admired your Stance on Pan-Africanism from Afar for a Very Long Time. I have Seen Your First Video/Episode About Haiti but Had Preferred to Let it Slide in Respect to the Numerous Inaccuracies that it Contained.
However, Upon Seeing this New Episode and After Discussing with Other Well-minded and Concerned Haitians, This Note Became a Necessity.
With ALL Due Respect, Your Knowledge and Familiarity with Haitian History and the Actual Political Destabilization of Haiti by the 5 Nations of the CORE Group and the United Nations are Minimal at Best.
Sadly, you Had COMPLETELY Misstated How the Current Gang Issues Had Started; and then Evolved into Today's Chaos!!!!
Those of Us Who Are Quite Familiar with Haiti Respectfully Suggest that You Conduct More In-depth Research About the Situation in Haiti 🇭🇹, In Order to Truly Get Acquainted with What is Happening on the Ground!
    -
As the Law Professor that you are (The Intellectuals in my Circle Believe that you are Most Likely a Very Good One), However, it is Clearly Apparent that you Are VERY FAR from Being an Expert on Haitian History or on International Relations.
As The Wise African Elders that they Are, Those Intellectual Men and Women Regret that it is a NECESSARY STEP to State the True FACTS which Contradict your Incorrect and Unfounded Assertions.
In Keeping with TRUE AFRICAN CUSTOMS, they BOW to the GROUND in Apologies.
    HOWEVER, FACTS ARE FACTS!
    -
The United Nations, Just Like the So-called Peace-keeping Forces Did in the Sahel Under the French and Other Multi-national Peace-keeping Forces in the Democratic Republic of Congo 🇨🇩 are the VERY CAUSES of the Chaos in Haiti 🇭🇹.
    -
Haitians in Haiti for a Very Long Time, Have Been Voicing Their Displeasure with the UN in Haiti and the 5 CORE Group Embassies in Haiti, About What they See as Racist Behavior and Insensitivity of their Staff Members Against the Black Haitian Population.
    -
The UN Previously Introduced Cholera in Haiti, Which Killed and Sickened Close to 1 Million Innocent Men, Women and Children BUT Never Owned up to it.
The UN Made the Situation Worse in Haiti Through their BINUH Mission Just a Few Years Ago, by Federating the Gangs, Hence Making Them More Deadly Against the Haitian Population as the G-9 Gang, Instead of Disarming them.
The CORE Group Nations Have for the Last 2 to 3 Decades Interfered in Every Supposedly Democratic Elections, Blocking Capable and Responsible Candidates and Imposing Depraved, Thuggish and Criminal-minded ones Instead.
Professor P.L.O. Lumumba, For Someone who Often Claims Solidarity and Brotherly Love for Your Supposed African Brethren, it is Shocking How you Have Decided to Rule on the Lack of Worthiness of the Lives of 12 Million of your Supposed African Brothers and Sisters in Haiti.
Professor Lumumba, in the Video Below you Have Decided to Leave Haiti and Its Persecuted African Population to the Same Countries and the Same International Community; Which are Widely Perceived by Haitians in Haiti, as their Torturers and Executioners.
Professor Lumumba, by Preaching for the Negation and Dissolution of a Great Historical Feat, Such as the Haitian Revolution (Hence Haiti Itself), Are you Aware of the Historical Value Brought by the Formerly Enslaved Africans and their Haiti-born Offsprings to Africans on the Continent and Afro-descendants Worldwide? ? ?
By Insinuating that Kenyan Soldiers Would NOT be Able to Communicate with the Haitians, Are you Aware that the Inhabitants of those 2 Other Countries that you are Suggesting to Send Soldiers to Haiti Do NOT Speak the Same Language as the Haitians Either.
And Therefore, JUST as those Non-African Foreign Soldiers, the African Kenyan Brothers and Sisters Can Utilize the Kreyol-Speaking Skills of Bilingual Haitian Interpreters.
(F.Y.I.: Haitian Speak Kreyol as their Native Language, BUT French is the Language of the Former Brutal/Cruel Colonizers).
Your Assessment of a Potential Kenyan Support Operations with the Haitian Police Against the United Nations /CORE Group-Supported Gangs, Does NOT Take Into Account ANY Use of Gang-Fighting Police Tactics/Strategy; and Amounts to Little More than Fear-Mongering Toward the African Brothers and Sisters of Kenya.
As for the Laws/Constitution of Kenya NOT Permitting for the Sending of Police Forces to Foreign Lands, as Someone Like you Whose Expertise is in Law and NOT History, you Should Be the First to Remind the Rest of Us that Constitutional Amendments and Other Similar Changes are Possible Remedies.
Professor P.L.O. Lumumba, Your Reprehensible Opposition through Limiting Kenya's Role or Moral Obligations to ONLY its Territory or the Continent of Africa, and Your Flattering/Glorifying Words in Submitting Africans in Haiti to the Tutelage of the Racist United Nations Organizations are Outright Shocking to the Intellectuals in my Circle.
However, I have Reasoned with them, and they Concurred; that it is Probably Best to Relay a Short Note to you in Order to Instigate the Scholarly Desire in you to Truly RESEARCH and LEARN About the History and Actual Political Situation in Haiti - the FIRST AFRICAN/BLACK Republic of the World Since 1804.
    -
PLEASE ACCEPT THE KIND REGARDS OF THE WISE AFRICAN ELDERS OF HAITI AND ITS DIASPORA!

The main issue lay in the fact this Kenia mission doesn’t have the Haitian population’s blessing. They are not coming to restore security they are coming to keep the statuquo and protect the west’s interest in Haiti. Why do you think the west is opposed to Haiti’s use of its small army of 1500 men while asking Kenia to send 500 to 1000? Are the Kenian better prepared? They don’t even know what’s going on in Haiti.

Ruto seems to forget that in Kenya single women outnumber single men, sending them to a slaughter in Haiti will worsen the already difficult situation for Kenyan women, Nigeria and Congolese men will have to come to Kenya in large numbers to compensate otherwise in years ahead Kenya will face serious demographic issues 😅

Can we create an online petition to have Prof. Lumumba lead an international group that can consult, collaborate and recommend solutions to the Haitian problem? We need a Pan African approach to this problem. We can fund it ourselves with donations of a few dollars each. The US wants to spend $200m on a policing mission that's simply one of many missions they've spent many billions of dollars on, without any results to show for it. Force is a very temporary solution, which has in any case historically created even worse problems

As I have stated before and often as a South American. The Haitians must try to convince governments in the region that, in my opinion, the only solution to the problem is; forming a government in exile and setting up or organizing and training an army consisting of Haitians from the diaspora by countries of CARICOM and/or the OAS. A liberation army under the government in exile for the liberation of Haiti. The country must be liberated by Haitians themselves. And be governed by this new government, maybe under the supervision of the UN for some time. The haïtian People speak haïtian creole which is not at all the same as french. Sending all kinds of foreign police and/or army units is not only a pointless way to cover the blood, but also and above all a humiliation for the Haitians themselves, a clear expression of disrespect for the Haitian people

We are in a world that we all have in common. No one has any other alternative. The state of the world is a reflection of the state of its principles, the human being. Haiti is a history that human beings have written.
The sugar that human beings discovered did not lead to an attitude of hope. Haiti had instead suffered in the name of the discovered sugar.
No one ever asked to be born. We believe that God created us. And yet, human beings must pay to be free in a life they haven't created and which they haven't asked for.
Haiti a story of dynastic tyranny, etc.
Today the issue is 'MISSION KENYA HAITI'. There is nothing wrong with that. The problem is that at the same time where 'MISSION KENYA HAITI' is discussed, another African country is the chief negotiator for countries of Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific in the framework of their cooperation with the European Union, that other country of Africa is a 60+ dynastic tyranny, I mean the regime at Togo in West Africa. This the tragedy, because this does not augur a future different from the past and the present. We try to solve the problem and at the same time we pose, we root the principles which determine these problems.
What hope and what future does the dynastic dictatorship constitute for it to be the chief negotiator of nations on several continents between them?

Dear Professor Lumumba, with all due respect to your knowledge, your wisdom, and your concern to pan Africanism regarding Haiti, I beg to correct you on a couple of points. Haiti is right now 220 years old since its independence. Haiti has NOT been ruled by gangs but until the fall of Duvalier 30 years ago. Contrary to what you said, Jean Bertrand Aristide is, IN FACT, the creator of gangs in Haiti; he started it all, this Catholic priest. And then, Michel Martelli was placed in power by the US, and has legalized the gangs with himself being the godfather. The Duvaliers did have a militia (Tonton Makouts) that was guarding not just the government, but also were the watchful eyes for the security of the country and the citizens. With Aristides’, Martelli’s and other politicians’ gang ravaging of the country, Haiti has been placed under the tutelage of a United nations body called Core Group in 1994. At United Nations meetings, this Core Group has called for the Federation and multiplication of the gangs in Haiti through an American ambassador/representative by the name of Madame Lalime. That woman had pled for the gangs to be federated, legal and recognized by the United Nations and the Haitian government. Therefore, those gangs are not a Haitian creation, but rather that of the United Nations, the US, the west and the white Core Group that have supported the gangs in the country to control the government, the masses, and to keep on digging up the diverse underground resources that the country has. We have never gotten gangs in Haiti until the United Nations, the US and the west have step foot in our country.
So, no thank you for your suggestion to have the United Nations putting Haiti under their control for 10 (more) years renewable. No!!! They have been there and this is what they have upheld and sustained in Haiti. Through the United Nations so-called “assistance to Haiti” under their tutelage, the country has known diseases brought in by the UN forces such as Cholera, raping of our women and young girls, raping of our young boys by gay pedophiles, etc…
We want the US out of Haiti, we want the western diplomats composed of all white nations (Core Group) out of the country. Haitians can solve this problem by themselves, but they have been restrained and barred by the US. The US does not have a good track record in Haiti since the country’s inception of freedom and independence. When they come in, they kill the people and they steal the country’s wealth. Now they run to our brothers in Kenya to do the killing for them by using them as mercenaries. We know who they are now, and we tell it to their face. Neither Kenya nor the US will come to help, but to kill and take away what we have. Kenya is in it for the money. How petty!! We are being sold again in 2024 by our Kenyan brothers; that’s a shame!!!
We want to be left alone to take care of our own dirty laundries. We can clean up and boost up our country once they take off their boots and their knees off our necks just as they’ve done to George Floyd.
Professor Lumumba, how can you have not seen what the US and the West have been doing to Haiti for over more than 200 years since our independence ???!!! The Western countries control the United Nations decision-making body, for the most part. They are not entitled to put Haiti under their supervision anymore, because it’s been chaos ever since they’ve been there. They need to get out; out!!! . We can take care of ourselves as long as we’re left alone to do our own thing, rather than having those white supervisors - and now with black Kenya.
Dear Professor Lumumba, your concern for Haiti is very much appreciated as a brother, but your suggestion is not welcomed. No, thank you. With love, Haiti.🇭🇹

Haiti🇭🇹 doesn’t have a GANG problem. Haiti 🇭🇹has a U.S.A. Imperialism problem, they need to let the Haitian people decide for themselves.
Haiti🇭🇹 doesn’t need any “ force keeping “ that’s not the solution. Please be mindful the Haitian people can fight their battle as usual, we’re a fighter NOT a quitter💪🙋🏻‍♀️

What do Haitians think of PLO's proposition of making Haiti a UN mandate administered by another country for 10+ years? And which country is capable and willing to governing Haiti and itself at the same time?

    • @jenpr1246

It’s not a good idea. The Haitian people are tired of foreign intervention. The so called interventions have been fruitless because it’s all about exploitation. Haiti is rich in natural resources and minerals just like Congo. the powers that be will never leave her alone because it’s all about special interest, but never in the interest of Haitians.
If America and the UN wanted to help, why not take the money they are giving Kenya and the multinational groups to Haiti. Build, roads, build hospitals, schools, infrastructures etc., rebuild the military and policy force. All this is not in the interest of America. It’s better for them to keep Haiti destabilized 😢

The Haitians speaking in this forum, you only criticize but never prescribing solutions to your problems. How then do you want us, the international community and more so the African brothers to assist you? We cannot just sit and watch such kind of lawlessness and anarchy. our mothers, sisters, fathers and children are maimed and killed by their own sons. Fyi we are already in Haiti to restore sanity at whatever cost. And don't threaten a solder with body bags, that's clearly in the contract, we either live or die for a justified course and this is most noble for our Africans kin and kith. For how long are we going to blame France, America and etc? Oh imperialist. This is being cry babies. We are taking charge of our own destiny and no one can do this better than ourselves

Haiti just paid the heavy price for making a bolted statement; after those Haitian warriors won the Revolutionary War, the Haitian government at that time said; to whoever, colour, race etc, who found themselves in slavery, oppressed etc, understand it was a call to the world that Haiti was a freedom land for whoever. Those who tried to reach Haiti’s shores will be provided everything lands, houses, money etc. Which was a lot of black Americans and the other Caribbean nations took on Haiti offered. Imagine at that time a young first black Republic like Haiti to flexed that much power next to the United States and the rest of the Western powers. So no now you know the West gotta teach Haiti a lesson by destabilizing the country politically And economically, then overpowering the country. Cause a country without No money, no military has no say in anything.

I understand Kenya wants to assist and strongly hope the leaders of Kenya understand that the UN can possibly using them after the mess they created. If the leaders of read history the UN and the American government has an agenda when it’s come to Haiti and all black countries. I don’t need to explain more but just read history. It’s time for foreign countries like USA, France, United Kingdom etc to stop interfering in other countries politics and social development. Think about this the moment you start interfering and try to control who wants to be free from all form of oppression you are creating a problem for your own self or your people. Do you think people are going to stop hating others after they make them suffer or put their kids and family to suffering. Do you think the palestiniens and the israeliens will ever forget what brought them where they at right. Some going to hate each other more and trying to make other people who are responsible to pay for it one way or another. Think about and it’s normal but it shouldn’t be. The people of United States and other countries do not understand it’s a vicious cycle and someone has to pay for it. All these poor countries want is to left alone or help them to better themselves. Think about it, if you help them they would want you or your country. They will stay home, work hard just like they are doing in America or other countries. All this immigration problem can be solve if these big countries finally admit and agree to leave these undeveloped countries alone, just give them the support that they need to develop and create a better life for their people. Leave them alone, leave them alone.
