People need to stop and realize that not only is it’s two different dogs, but Taz is a red dog and a rescue and skittish. It’s going to take her longer to get in the groove rescued a dog who had been abused. I’ve had him for three years now and he’s just getting where I leave him off leash, so people stop with the harsh comments give them all the love and support that they need✌🏽💜🙏🏽
Every dog has its own personality, just like little children. You just cant compare them. I agree with you, @Roaming Reckless. People need to give you a break!
I wish people would stop comparing the two dogs and and let you do what you know you need to do. Like, you live your life and you know what you want and how things should be for you. Dog person here so I have to comment. First of all, getting a dog when they are still a puppy has a profound effect on training recall. A pup naturally is focused in on "their" person , so recall comes naturally. (Most times, it's dependent upon dog's personality) Secondly, I have been thrilled watching Taz becoming more and more at ease with her new family and life. She's looking so happy and has become so responsive to you. Any relationship takes time and you've done a great job meeting her where she is at any given time. Great dog mom! One thing I've been want to mention to you - research the chemicals in tennis balls, plus how the texture of them may not be the best for dogs. I love your realness in your videos. Always wishing you the best.
Ria - I rescued a beautiful pup who has lived in my home with a picket fence and AC for two years. He’s still anxious. He’s gotten better but it takes time. His personality is very different from the 13 year old girl we had to put to rest 4 years ago. Taz will adjust and be happy so long as she’s with you. ❤

You're exactly right about having different relationships with each animal you have...dog, cat, etc. I've watched your videos for quite a long time and can tell you're very in tune with your dogs and that's the most important thing. Blue was a very special boy. And Taz is adorable.
I actually appreciate that you aren't rushing the off leash thing. Alot of people move to that too quick and that's how you hurt or lose a dog! Kudos to you!

Taz is a wild rescue pup. She will take a lot of time to realize she now has a wonderful home. We have two rescues and they are like night and day. We love them both but they are each unique. Keep doing and being you❤️
I adopted an abused dog from a 90+ animal hoarding situation. He may have lived his whole life like that until his rescue. People should learn to think about what they are about to say first. As an outside observer, it is difficult to know what a rescue dog's reaction will be to the world of new they are experiencing. One thing we can say is that Ria will do everything that Taz needs when she needs it, and will be what is best for Taz. Keep up the great work!

As a former member of the Rez, Rez dogs are a different breed. Up there with coyotes. Unpredictable and wild. They are incredibly close to the mama and are severely traumatized when separated. That alone changes them entirely. Training a Rez dog, in my experience, has a better success rate when they are puppies. I love that you are acknowledging her anxiety. You are already doing great things for her Ria❤
Taz will adapt to the lifestyle, she's young yet❤. Being on the road off leash training is harder, she has no yard to call her own, territory means alot to some dogs. She's opening up alot! I see that her tail is wagging alot more and she's showing alot more adjustment and she's alot more confident. Be patient and most of all do it your way. She's a very good girl, you need her and she needs you. Blue was apart of both your lives, she probably misses him also. You are both doing well considering the huge loss you both endured. 💔 Love from my pack to you both. ❤❤

You are doing great with Taz. Have a Jack Russell who is almost 7 and it took him a couple years to be trusted off leash. A good bond and trust goes a long way. He leads stays on trail most times and always looks for me so I don't get lost 😂

This shows you can’t please everyone. I don’t know why people would give you crap for having your dog safely on a leash. I have a beagle with a strong prey drive and I live in my van full time. Even if I trusted her off leash I don’t think I would take the chance since I’m mostly in new and unknown areas. You can never trust other people and their dogs or wild animals, you just never know. I appreciate seeing you keep your pup safe.

OMG! I wouldn't have lasted two minutes there. You are determined. And dogs do take time to bond. I adopted a 2 year old Mini Aussie, and the previous owner told me NEVER let him off leash. He will bolt. Sadly, a door blew open behind me and off he went. I searched for three days, used every social media platform. I did find him. It took a full year for me to feel comfortable and fully bonded. Bodie, my Aussie, had never been in a house, never been on a leash. It was a huge change for him. He is now by my side constantly. Loves, loves road trips and camping. I love your videos. Keep pushing thru!

Is it me or are camping sites full of trash and cast off equipment like never before? 😫 Bugs are just part of nature and I couldn't blame the campground unless they have a body of water they know is a mosquito breeding pond and don't treat it. But trash, that is the worst. I have even gone to a spot where someone has left their fire burning. And that can be criminal. People who leave camping spots a mess should be fined a lot of money. I know your spot didn't have trash all over but thats what would make me rate a camping spot down. Love you! ❤️
"You got some big shoes to fill" Those shoes are not for your other dog to fill. Thats not the right thing to ask that dog. She is totally different and that is how it is, blue can never be replaced nor should he be - but mama can be just as good in her own way. Take care.
No judgment on your training of the pup from me! You are doing a GREAT job! Also - you had Blue from a pup and this dog has been thru goodness knows what before you got her - and you know whether in cats, dogs, horses or whatever - THAT makes a difference! I have many rescue cats, and two rescue dogs, one horse that was SEVERELY abused, and then dogs, cats and horses that I raised from babies. The difference in personality and boldness of the animal is night and day in the ones I raised versus rescued…BUT both types are amazing, and special - just totally different! Also - I KNOW you miss Blue. You are doing alright Maria. You really are - you are tough and you will see him again one day. Keep on keeping on! You have a lot of work to do for The Lord yet! ❤🙏🏻🤗

I would have stolen six fire pits and put them all around my campsite. Also, the ticks up there are awful. I love watching you to heal together. In the end that will make you closer. Healthy and Joyful blessings. 🌻🐝🧡
I use peppermint essential oil in my cetaphil lotion to help with mosquitos as well as peppermint spray in my tent to keep them out. It seems to keep them out of my tent and help from getting bit. They still swarm a bit, but not bitting.
Girl, I am glad you aren’t taking the judgy “you don’t treat Tazzy the same as blue” people to heart! You can tell she is LOVED! And, no e of us treat our dogs exactly the same way (neither do we treat all our children exactly the same way)! It doesn’t mean we love one less. It simply means we love them equally, but uniquely. I have a rescue Doberman who I know loves me, but she is also a very independent girl. She will absolutely go off to explore the world on her own and I will probably never let her be an off leash dog tbh. You're doing what's safest and best for your dog as you go. ♡

Maria your a bigger person then I am. That campground needs to get rid of the garbage and sewer issues. Hopefully no bugs attach themselves to poe as you go to the next state. Sounds like the state needs to come in tell them they have to clean it up or their going to shut it down. It's a health issue

I know life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows, I just look up to the person you are and your lifestyle. It’s always nice seeing your channel pop up in my subscription box. We moved and set up the TV after not having it for 2 months and we literally chose your channel out of all of them to catch up on first ;)
Ría, you are an excellent dog parent. You are a kind hearted , really, really good person. You and only You know when and how you will train Taz. No rush. She’s safe on a leash. I have two pound puppies that I adopted during the pandemic and will not let them off the leash unless I feel they are 100% safe. Love your videos , please never stop posting.

Even if I trusted her off leash I don’t think I would take the chance since I’m mostly in new and unknown areas. You can never trust other people and their dogs or wild animals, you just never know. I appreciate seeing you keep your pup safe.

OMG! I wouldn't have lasted two minutes there. You are determined. And dogs do take time to bond. I adopted a 2 year old Mini Aussie, and the previous owner told me NEVER let him off leash. He will bolt. Sadly, a door blew open behind me and off he went. I searched for three days, used every social media platform. I did find him. It took a full year for me to feel comfortable and fully bonded. Bodie, my Aussie, had never been in a house, never been on a leash. It was a huge change for him. He is now by my side constantly. Loves, loves road trips and camping. I love your videos. Keep pushing thru!

Is it me or are camping sites full of trash and cast off equipment like never before? 😫 Bugs are just part of nature and I couldn't blame the campground unless they have a body of water they know is a mosquito breeding pond and don't treat it. But trash, that is the worst. I have even gone to a spot where someone has left their fire burning. And that can be criminal. People who leave camping spots a mess should be fined a lot of money. I know your spot didn't have trash all over but thats what would make me rate a camping spot down. Love you! ❤️
A buff with bug spray works wonders for my dogs. Easy thing to fit into your kit and if you need be you can use it as well.
"You got some big shoes to fill" Those shoes are not for your other dog to fill. Thats not the right thing to ask that dog. She is totally different and that is how it is, blue can never be replaced nor should he be - but mama can be just as good in her own way. Take care.

I have many rescue cats, and two rescue dogs, one horse that was SEVERELY abused, and then dogs, cats and horses that I raised from babies. The difference in personality and boldness of the animal is night and day in the ones I raised versus rescued…BUT both types are amazing, and special - just totally different!
Also - I KNOW you miss Blue. You are doing alright Maria. You really are - you are tough and you will see him again one day. Keep on keeping on! You have a lot of work to do for The Lord yet! ❤🙏🏻🤗
Block out the noise, Maria. Why people feel the need to criticize you for anything is beyond me. Some of the comments people make are so out of bounds and tackless. You know what Taz needs more than anyone. Just keep doing what you are doing. Also, with all those bugs, I would have lasted 5 mins, and then I would have been out of there! 😂
I would have stolen six fire pits and put them all around my campsite. Also, the ticks up there are awful.

I use peppermint essential oil in my cetaphil lotion to help with mosquitos as well as peppermint spray in my tent to keep them out. It seems to keep them out of my tent and help from getting bit. They still swarm a bit, but not bitting.
Girl, I am glad you aren’t taking the judgy “you don’t treat Tazzy the same as blue” people to heart! You can tell she is LOVED! And, no e of us treat our dogs exactly the same way (neither do we treat all our children exactly the same way)! It doesn’t mean we love one less. It simply means we love them equally, but uniquely. I have a rescue Doberman who I know loves me, but she is also a very independent girl. She will absolutely go off to explore the world on her own and I will probably never let her be an off leash dog tbh. You're doing what's safest and best for your dog as you go. ♡

Maria your a bigger person then I am. That campground needs to get rid of the garbage and sewer issues. Hopefully no bugs attach themselves to poe as you go to the next state. Sounds like the state needs to come in tell them they have to clean it up or their going to shut it down. It's a health issue

I know life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows, I just look up to the person you are and your lifestyle. It’s always nice seeing your channel pop up in my subscription box. We moved and set up the TV after not having it for 2 months and we literally chose your channel out of all of them to catch up on first ;)
Ría, you are an excellent dog parent. You are a kind hearted , really, really good person. You and only You know when and how you will train Taz. No rush. She’s safe on a leash. I have two pound puppies that I adopted during the pandemic and will not let them off the leash unless I feel they are 100% safe. Love your videos , please never stop posting.

Yes, she is loved that’s why you want to keep her safe. I would do the same thing, in fact, I do with the dog I have. He gets so excited when he sees something to chase that I can’t trust him.
