Tramway night was a belter...so many folk turned up, they couldn't fit everyone into the venue it was amazing! I think that was before SLAM 1 at SECC ..first rave I went to was Dirtbox in Barrowland '89 I'm sure it was. Stone Roses gig on the Green still gives me goosebumps...best days!! Back then Acid House/ House & Indie went hand in hand at raves 💥 FOOL'S GOLD was their first tune 💛🙌
Such a great interview👍 I never got ta go up ta Scotland ta do any clubbing etc, deffo feel like I missed out, only time was a house party after meeting some gals from Glasgow at Shelley's in stoke around 1990 ish, they drove me and my mate up to one of ums sisters flat where a party had already been going on a few days, we had a cracking time and didn't leave until Wednesday, they drove us back down ta Stoke to find our borrowed car had been nicked by the rozzas lol
Great interview and thanks for posting. My first gig at sub club was when my favourite producer moby was djing there. Harri played that night and I couldn’t believe how amazing the experience was. I hadn’t heard music or a sound system like that before and became a regular after that at subculture. That night was also a big influence for me as a musician/ producer. Again thanks for this interview and hope you guys keep the scene in Scotland going strong 🎶🎶
Aw amazing! Sub Club is so good. I don't know anyone thats had the full experience and not said something similar. Thanks for listening glad you enjoyed it. The Glasgow scene is definitely going strong that's for sure.
Brilliant podcast known Harri from way back great hearing him chat about all the years ago early days at fury murry’s tin pan ally sub club he has amazing knowledge about music 🎶Always has the years I’ve known him 👌.
Fantastic interview, and excellent info on the early development of house music in Glasgow. Atlantis was a great night, and a lot of great dj's we're involved in Glasgow at that time, Boydie n Adrian Rennie are often forgotten, same with the Pussypower guys
Thank God I started clubbing in the early 90's where you did not have a mobile phone and you went to a club because the music was good. The DJ was a factor because they played the tunes you wanted but you did not look at whoever it was. Why would you if the tunes were great?
