OMG!! What you said is true kaviya. After entering the comments section, I'm getting to believe that I'm not alone in the jungle. I went through emergency c-section and from the next day, I started mobilising and was feeling well. But I was missing something and didn't know what was that at that time. My baby was not latching well. So I started feeling guilty and literally cried before my doctor when she visited my room. She gave me confidence and this is what she told "I'll leave this room only after your baby gets latched with you". Then she asked to me to sit comfortably, relaxed and finally my baby latched well. But I couldn't do it on my own for the entire first week. I expressed the milk and was giving to my baby. My family members (Hope you know the members of the list) started saying she has low milk supply in the first week itself. What happens in the days to come when the baby needs more milk. Again I was feeling very low and crying for the whole day. My husband was very supportive and motivated me. He told that you are capable of finding the real issue and you can solve it. Then I found the issue and I was continuously trying when my baby was not hungry and not screaming in hunger. Finally he latched well with my left side and slowly in a few days he latched well with right side also. Then comes the next challenge. After a week, suddenly my milk flow was very low and he started screaming. I tried to express but there was no milk supply at all. He got tired of screaming and slept. Then we gave lactogen to him and continued to give whenever i felt he was not satisfied after bf especially at night. Then I started eating more, eating often, drinking lots of water, juices, and finally my milk supply has started increasing. Yet I'm giving him lactogen 1 or 2 times in a day. I wish for exclusive breastfeeding and trying for the same. Finding the issue is the solution for it. Many times, We don't know what is the problem and so we couldn't solve it. Hope everyone can try for exclusive breastfeeding and it's no wrong whatever we do for our baby. Never mind others blaming you. Afterall no one can care better for a baby than the mother.
At night time our milk content will be low because of rich fat. That doesn't mean that bm is not enough for baby. Even I thought the same initially.. but I came to know that night milk has more fat and hence less quantity
I really struggled really hard for the first 10 days of my baby birth for latching... i often cry if my baby doesn't take proper feeding... a staff helped me a lot to get a good latch.... as my baby got latching all my stress gone away.... exclusive breastfeeding is the easiest way of feeding... i used regular pillow for feeding which is very useful
Yes 💯 you are correct.. I'm facing the pain daily during breastfeeding time.. compared to breastfeeding pain delivery pain is nothing. When baby sucks, I feel like three to four needles being inserted into my nipple and being pulled out and inserted again. I cry in so much pain, squeeze my husband hands in pain. The pain will be intolerant for human being. As you mentioned there is not proper education regarding breastfeeding during pregnancy time and how to prepare for it from hospital/doctor side
OMG!! Thankyou so much for this video sis...am also formula feed mother this process is very stressful..mentally and physically..lots of people don't understand that.. exclusive feeding is always way easier than formula feed pls understand that..pls don't discourage mom's they always try their best for their babies...once again thank you for the video sis..you explained really well
Inspired u.. My baby gets 3 months old.. I have flat nipple, so baby couldn't latch..So I started express the milk and give it to him with bottle feeding.. Earlier 12 to 13 times I pumped milk per day..Now it lesses 8 to 9 times per day.. I didn't use any formula milk.. It's not an easy. But still he is not gaining weight faster..so don't get tensed about baby's weight.. That's my experience .I am just share to u.. "Vaan"is nice name..keep rocking
I am a mother of 10 days baby. Now I'm facing the same issue.Thank you for sharing your experience.its really helpful.i am in too much stress for not able to give enough milk to my baby.
Thanks for the video ..... It was so relatable.... atleast people(mainly relative aunties) should understand the pain of a mother who is giving combined feeds, and stop blaming the mother her for everything..very difficult to make them understand these myths and facts..as you said, every mother is trying her best .... supportive family is the key for successful breastfeeding...thanks for sharing your valuable experience, I also went through the same .....Did u use manual or electric breast pump ?
Very true.. My journey is exactly same as urs.. Struggling with weight gain issues of 2.5 month old by Feeding, Pumping 5 times a day, Top feed with Formula.. Dont know when all these would end.. Your video makes me feel better.
Hi kaviya, I'm breastfeeding in day time and in the night time even if i feed her she is not sleeping and everyone are saying breast milk is not sufficient for her in night, only if I give formula milk her tummy is full and she is sleeping.. can we give formula milk in the night alone
Did u give Braest milk followed my formula milk immediately or gave an interval of 1 hour atleast between these two feeds. Can both be given without some hours of of gap
Very informative mam.. Very good explanation..Thank you mam.. Can you share weaning journey.. What r the foods you start initially.. How to prepare mam..

Giving supplement is really a hectic thing.... as a new mother it was really hard.... since my baby had jaundice I had to give him feed for every two hours and also I should know how much he takes so I had to express milk and also formula in-between it was exhausting no rest ..... cleaning the bottle every single time ..... no joke... later all went well when the baby started to learn breastfeed.... till four years my boy didn't stop lol... now I'm going to have my second.... hope I can handle this time
My baby is 1 month old now and I have been literally facing all that you told. It took almost 25 days to latch and by that time he started latching my milk supply gone low and have to give few amount of formula milk after every feed. Hoping it will get better and I manifest that I can do exclusive breast feed soon.
Hi everyone, have any one experienced severe pain during breastfeeding, how you overcome it ? When ever my baby latches and start sucking i feel sharp pain in breast like two three needles being inserted in my nipple.. i cry out in pain each and every time i breastfeed. I use nipple shield too, still i experience so much pain when baby sucks and drinks milk. After my baby unlatches my nipple will be white with white boils, skin peeled condition and also few blood strains. I have pumped to see the output, i got 1/2 spoon of milk after pumping for an hour. Have anyone experienced like this during breastfeeding? Please reply🙏 What are the ways to overcome this pain and make this journey painless and smooth

Thanks Ashwini. As I mentioned in the video, if the baby is satisfied after feeds, has wet nappies in between feeds and gains sufficient weight then he/she is feeding enough. Don’t predict your supply by pumping as baby’s sucking is very powerful than any breast pump

Check everyone during pregnancy only worried about delivery.
Compared to bf delivery is nothing
We actually have to learn about bf more from pregnancy
