I'm working on Lucky Guy hunter fanmade called "Misfortune" I have made skills for him. External trait: No Luck "Misfortune" can stump any item on the ground, making then unuseable. And if a survivor pick an item from the chest, the quality will be reduce. (Example, doctor syringe will have shorter charge and the flare gun stun are shorter). Note: only item from the chest are reduce the quality, if you start as a survivor with the item, it will not be reduce. Skill: 0 presence: Fight fire with fire. "Misfortune" able to use items like syringe, perfume, watch, and flaregun to hunt survivors. The item only can be use one at the time and has 25 second cooldown. Item explenation. - syringe: "Misfortune" throw a syringe to one direction, if it hit a survivor, they slowly take damage (like mercenary taking damage). - perfume: "Misfortune" can used the perfume to go back to his place up to 9 seconds. - watch: "Misfortune" used the watch to... do what FO usually does (I don't know what it called) for 9 seconds. - flaregun: "Misfortune use the flaregun to stun survivor for 2 seconds, the flaregun can be block like regular flaregun. When an item is used, it can't be use again until two other items are used. (Example, "Misfortune used flaregun and he can't use it again until two other items are used) 1 presence: In the box "Misfortune" can teleport via chest in the game. He need 1.5 second to teleport to an open chest and 2.5 seconds to a close chest. It has 24 seconds cooldown. 2 presence: Goodwill "Misfortune" now only have to use 1 other item to refresh item he just used. So basically, a hunter that utulies items. That sound kinda fun to use. If there any opinion, let me know.

Fun fact stranger 1s role was meant to be the "Slacker" making me think his gameplay would revolve around lockers since what would a slacker be doing in the game... Hiding. Also, apart from the beta hunter like Billy and Stuff, stranger 1 is the only other one to have a worn clothes style in game.

I believe his team consisted of him and the 3 cut characters(along with the girl that Orpheus is searching for). I think Smiley is a standin for a mysterious hunter that we don't know yet, or one of the 4 survivors being the hunter.
iirc they said lucky guy is a stand in for the player and has no canon appearance, he is also just a character in the game so that they had a free character before they added the other free characters to the free roster. it is also worth noting that BHVR helped the team at net ease make IDV which is why the dbd music was used in the trailer, why the pallet mechanic exists in the game, and why the bloody outfits were a thing as you get bloody outfits in DBD via prestiging survivors and killers. Allot of the first beta stuff was the game functioning like DBD and essentially being a DBD Mobile before DBD Mobile existed. EDIT: as someone that played in 2018 when the game first released, i really miss the barbed wire for the chairs...it's funny because they still use the barbed wire icon when someone is chaired.

Orpheus arrives to the mannor and reads the diaries, but before that he sees pictures of some characters scattered around (If you remember the tasks in the old lobby where you had to move back and forth you know this detail). The first diary he picks up is the last game's diary, where there's no description of who wrote it or who was with the person who wrote it. But it described the games from his perspective and Orpheus just asumed he was talking about the people on the pictures and all that is revealed is that he managed to escape while his friend didn't that's why he's the lucky guy and his friend is the unlucky guy, and since the orpheus that went to investigate the mannor is from a modern era he just asumed that the dudes looked like regular teens.

Ashes of memories artstyle feels like a downgrade, artistic expression wise when you look back at what idv lore was looking like. Lucky Guy design seems to be a way to give a nod to the alpha concept of idv.

You can see that graveyard girl’s design was later used with gardener and coordinator and basically that’s it. Now idk exactly why they kept lucky guy
Pre-beta IDV is literally just Dead By Daylight on Mobile. Heck, even Beta IDV still had a lot of DBD stuff. And imo, they should've kept it. I preferred the horror aesthetic.

Lucky Guy struck me the most peculiar when I first started IDV. There are fan theories I've seen a lot too that Lucky and the stranger were from late 1990s or early 2000s (based on the attire) who got dragged in the manor's timeline by either accident or invitation. Knowing how there are a lot of unsolved lores to be discovered, it will be an interesting addition to the mainstory line. I hope too Lucky Guy will be given a character day letter or involvement in the lore because he is the most peculiar yet ignored character lorewise in my opinion.
I played idv for 4 years (2018-2022) and l hates lucky guy I thought he was just there as random tutorial charcter. I kinda got sympath for him after watching lore vids(Also lawyer was my main💀)
As far as I'm aware most of the gore was removed due to Chinese censorship and the ropes on the rocket chairs were apparently changed because some kids in China actually tried doing it irl
I can say why NetEase make idv is like more stylelish and cute game now Cause the developer NetEase mybe they add china server,because china can't Accept a gore horor game like the beta version,so they change the style game from horor into a stylish game
My theory is that he's somehow related to knight he has a wedding invitation accessory, and the only wedding that we know of is Knight's sister's wedding, perhaps he was the best man? Or maybe she was having an affair with him? Up to interpretation.
My personal canon... The manor is purgatory... And they are all sinners...orpheus is the one in control because he literally lured sinners to his manor (minus alice) who got involved because she wanted the truth...
Hmm, well, idk how you perceive someone as sinners, but there are many innocent characters who joined the game as well. Emma Woods didn't do anything before joining the game. Anne Lester was even a victim of other's misdeed, Victor didn't do anything troublesome as he suffers from selective mutism, Alice is a victim, Fiona just does an investigation, and so on. Orpheus lures the participants not only just to punish them it seems
In my opinion, I wish they had gone for the modern era and kept the horror aspect. Don't get me wrong, the one we have today is good, but I just want it to be like less of a fashion show (remember this is an opinion)
Since Lucky Guy relies on his luck on the game, I wonder how he even got a letter to play. Like we know that you receive a letter (from the Baron) that convinces you of going to the Oletus manor; "Partake in the game, and the prize game is yada yada" And now I'm curious how Lucky Guy even get an invitation like did he just rely on his luck to find the manor or something?😂
I have the suspicion that he's one of the more modern day game players that has yet to play. Like even after all those years the manor games keep continuing. the lady bird of the manor Doesn't look human after all.

Asymmetrical horror isn’t anything new that DbD came up with. We already had the likes of the older AvP games, Natural Selection, and a few indie ones like Damned.

Lucky Guy struck me the most peculiar when I first started IDV. There are fan theories I've seen a lot too that Lucky and the stranger were from late 1990s or early 2000s (based on the attire) who got dragged in the manor's timeline by either accident or invitation. Knowing how there are a lot of unsolved lores to be discovered, it will be an interesting addition to the mainstory line. I hope too Lucky Guy will be given a character day letter or involvement in the lore because he is the most peculiar yet ignored character lorewise in my opinion.
I think that'd be a fat chance, given how different he is from other survivors
I played idv for 4 years (2018-2022) and l hates lucky guy I thought he was just there as random tutorial charcter. I kinda got sympath for him after watching lore vids(Also lawyer was my main💀)

My personal canon... The manor is purgatory... And they are all sinners...orpheus is the one in control because he literally lured sinners to his manor (minus alice) who got involved because she wanted the truth...
Hmm, well, idk how you perceive someone as sinners, but there are many innocent characters who joined the game as well. Emma Woods didn't do anything before joining the game. Anne Lester was even a victim of other's misdeed, Victor didn't do anything troublesome as he suffers from selective mutism, Alice is a victim, Fiona just does an investigation, and so on.

In my opinion, I wish they had gone for the modern era and kept the horror aspect. Don't get me wrong, the one we have today is good, but I just want it to be like less of a fashion show (remember this is an opinion)

Since Lucky Guy relies on his luck on the game, I wonder how he even got a letter to play. Like we know that you receive a letter (from the Baron) that convinces you of going to the Oletus manor; "Partake in the game, and the prize game is yada yada"
