    Watching this, you almost feel something stirred deep inside your soul, and inside your heart. It's like something is calling to you. The simple form of explanation called words is not enough for this. It brings you to tears, it brings joy into your heart, awe into your mind and beauty to the eye. Thank you so much Dakotalapse for sharing such an amazing piece of beauty with the world.

    Amazing time lapses in pristine skies. I only had one chance to see the dark sky at Death Valley three decades back where the sky was so full of stars. I live in the Los Angeles area where Joshua Tree is now light polluted. Even if you go farther out to Amboy crater you see the light pollution from Phoenix and its suburbs. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful time lapses.

      It is truly incredible what he has done

      mdees88 Two things for you.
      1. God is shit and that thing is dead long ago if it existed ever.
      2. Try to respect others' harmless feelings or just leave them alone rather than preaching your shitty idea of God.
      Get lost dude, simply get lost.

    • @mdees88
      @mdees88 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      "respect other's harmless feelings" you have got to be a liberal.
      Sorry you don't believe in God. Hopefully when you have nothing else to turn to you will reach out to Him. It would sure be a shame to live your entire life without accepting His gift of eternal life and the blessings He has in store for you....

    I used to live along the South Dakota, Nebraska border growing up. As a kid I used to lay on a blanket on warm summer nights and watch the stars until I fell asleep. Seeing those clear night skies and the milky way really is breath taking in person. Since I haven't been there in a long time and probably won't be going back anytime soon, thank you for bringing those childhood memories back. Awesome video.

    When I see something like this..it makes me believe that there is a Big Guy up there. The things we do in life; sharing stories with my friends, caring for my family, and being able to fall in love...they are all so little compared to our universe..yet, they are the most important features of our lives. Compared to all of time, we are here for a split second and then we are gone... Yet so many breath-taking moments occur..so many miracles and good deeds.
    Never take life for granted.

    Isn't it crazy to think that we are all just on a ball floating in space and to think that we just make up a little part of the universe??? It's crazy to think that there is so much more that we don't even know about. I hope we find a planet like Pandora :D

    1The heavens are telling of the glory of God;
    And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.

    Never ceases to boggle my mind how so many people take earth for granted and abuse it. Instead of concerning yourself with all the hate, intolerance and bigotry that humans use to distract from what really matters....start focusing instead on the only home we have ever known...our beautiful and fragile earth. Without her we are nothing at all.

    It's beautiful in video but I highly recommend take the time to see it with the naked eye. Its indescribable. And the emotions are overwhelming!
    The size of it is unfathomable, possibly infinitely large and to think; we are almost infinitely small in comparison!
    So surreal the thought of our existence... It's good to be alive.

    I wish i could see the Milky Way too someday. The sky in this video is so clear and beautiful, full of stars... I imagine it must be a magical feeling lying down and just watching the amazing night sky. Too bad that big cities are so bright, so that I almost never get to see a stars sky...

    Seeing the starry night sky has been one of my dreams for years. Sometimes, I just wished that all of the lights in the world turn off for just a few days so all of us can experience this nocturnal beauty.

    Beautiful! I live in northern NJ and our sky is almost grey from light pollution. NYC which is 13 miles away from my house outshines everything. On a good night I can see 7-10 stars. That's it. 😦 enjoy the view!

    Hi! thanks for uploading! In August !998 at around 7:30pm, I was out in the porch smoking. I love looking at the stars since at a very young age, but that night, I was petrified. I saw a huge thing full of stars moving up in the sky. I said "oh my God...UFO!"...thanks for this picture...now i am happy to say that"I have seen the milky way with my naked eye"

  • @rvwach
    @rvwach 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    Stunningly beautiful, and I'm referring to the artistry of the photography as well as the natural scenery. And folks, the long exposure time of this series of photos is what reveals all of those stars--you can't see that with the naked eye, even in South Dakota.

    That was fu***** AMAZING! The cameraman must be brought a BIG drink, It must be cool to have the stars as your friends, where i live i can usually see 3 of them with the naked eye, i know one is the pole star and that it!! and if im lucky i can go onto a field and see Orion's Belt (i think) This is defiantly going on my projector.. Great vid thanks :D

    I recognized Scorpio in some of these and I was able to determine these must have been taken in northern North Dakota - his tail never got entirely above the horizon. I had the chance to see Scorpio from Sydney, Australia. Fascinating to see stars from that far south. The only way to recognize constellations is to lie on the ground with your head to the north - then it all comes together.

    Impressive! Thought I'd mention that the series of images with the Milky Way over the house is somethng a friend of mine and myself went out and shot here in Wyoming last year. My friend entered one of the images in a Tamron photo contest and won the front cover of their lens catalog with it. This series of images you shot looks incredibly similar to the images we shot here in Wyoming. We used two speed lights to illumiate the inside of the house that we shot. Nice work here!
