Watching this, you almost feel something stirred deep inside your soul, and inside your heart. It's like something is calling to you. The simple form of explanation called words is not enough for this. It brings you to tears, it brings joy into your heart, awe into your mind and beauty to the eye. Thank you so much Dakotalapse for sharing such an amazing piece of beauty with the world.

Amazing time lapses in pristine skies. I only had one chance to see the dark sky at Death Valley three decades back where the sky was so full of stars. I live in the Los Angeles area where Joshua Tree is now light polluted. Even if you go farther out to Amboy crater you see the light pollution from Phoenix and its suburbs. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful time lapses.

I saw this about 6 years ago, I get really depressed when I think about it cause I miss this view and I regret not staying longer to watch it, I need to plan another trip north.
I used to live along the South Dakota, Nebraska border growing up. As a kid I used to lay on a blanket on warm summer nights and watch the stars until I fell asleep. Seeing those clear night skies and the milky way really is breath taking in person. Since I haven't been there in a long time and probably won't be going back anytime soon, thank you for bringing those childhood memories back. Awesome video.
@@northamericanyeti I’m glad to hear that. Most of us when we lived in one place for so long, we always wanna come back if we had to move at some point.
WOW! This should win an award! ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! Wonderful job. As I watched it on full screen with the lights off, I felt a sense of peace beyond understanding! Thanks so much for sharing this with the world. Truly a taste of heaven! We don't realize what we are missing until we look at this! EVERY PERSON SHOULD SEE THIS!!
Always blows my mind seeing these time lapses. The contrast of the Earth sitting still as the sky rotates leaves me in awe. It makes me feel so tiny. The Universe we live in is so much bigger than we could ever imagine, and these videos really stimulate that thought.
Now, I really want to just sneak into my country's electric company and just shut all available generator. I know this is a crime, but if to see a sight like this, it's worthy.
Yea same here, just thinking about it gives me the chills! I can't begin where to start on how much it fascinates me. It has been my childhood dream to go in a field, look up and see all the stars and even parts of the Milky Way. I wish just for one hour all cities would turn all the lights off just to get a glimpse at the natural beauty that we can call.. Home :)
When I see something like this..it makes me believe that there is a Big Guy up there. The things we do in life; sharing stories with my friends, caring for my family, and being able to fall in love...they are all so little compared to our universe..yet, they are the most important features of our lives. Compared to all of time, we are here for a split second and then we are gone... Yet so many breath-taking moments occur..so many miracles and good deeds. Never take life for granted.
Isn't it crazy to think that we are all just on a ball floating in space and to think that we just make up a little part of the universe??? It's crazy to think that there is so much more that we don't even know about. I hope we find a planet like Pandora :D
Agreed. We are only a small part of our solar system, which is only a very small part of our galaxy, which is a mere speck of dust compared to the rest of the universe. It's interesting stuff.
Meaning if so I see it it true we like floating here on planet throughout space and the entire big outer space out there and as well we just don't feel it. Also we part of a small in the universe speck of the dust
it is overwhelming just to watch the whole universe move, many hours in seconds....such precision, such order, so perfect, so beautiful this can`t be randomness!!
Stars are born and die time after time, they have the own life. So, sometimes I want to know why I, rather my instinct, recognize the beauty whensoever I stare at the universe. Where does our sense of feeling for the beauty come from?
Man, whenever I start to get stressed out in life and things become hard, I just look up into the sky and see all the beauty, then I remember how small we are in the universe and realize my problems and really nothing to be worrying about in the grand scheme of the cosmos.....freakin beautiful :')
1The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. 2Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge. 3There is no speech, nor are there words; Their voice is not heard.
Never ceases to boggle my mind how so many people take earth for granted and abuse it. Instead of concerning yourself with all the hate, intolerance and bigotry that humans use to distract from what really matters....start focusing instead on the only home we have ever known...our beautiful and fragile earth. Without her we are nothing at all.
It's so intoxicatingly immense...when you stand at altitude, at dusk in a soft wind with clouds passing overhead, arms outstretched, facing slightly up, you can feel like you are literally riding along on a huge dirt covered iron cannonball...even though you can only slightly perceive the heavens moving, it's enough.
i wish you could come and do the same here in outback Australia,we have a completely different view to you in the northern hemisphere. I think i read somwhere that we have a more full view of the Milky Way. So watching vour video was great, felt i was on another planet - never seen the northern skies. Lovely thank you!

Impressive! Thought I'd mention that the series of images with the Milky Way over the house is somethng a friend of mine and myself went out and shot here in Wyoming last year. My friend entered one of the images in a Tamron photo contest and won the front cover of their lens catalog with it. This series of images you shot looks incredibly similar to the images we shot here in Wyoming. We used two speed lights to illumiate the inside of the house that we shot. Nice work here!

We can't be the only intelligent race observing the beauty of space.
Space is infinite of course there are more than trillions.
We are not ready nor prepared to know the truth. Heed to the lessons from Nature, and we may one day.
somewhere in thos stars there is a planet with beings who are also observing earth as a tiny dot.

They could be saying: ''Planet with potentially intelligent life found around a dim star system!''.

I think lights should be banned. This sight is so worth it.
I think our atmosphere should be banned and bled out into space, we would get a clearer look at the stars without it.
That is not a good idea. (Was that sarcastic)

Oh no. no more oxygen
I think there should be one night were all lights get turned off and everyone gets together to look at the sky ♥

***** What about individual success? Do you think you die and there is nothing after that?
Would you like to explore the "heavens"?

Im gonna somewhere else with my girlfriend to see these wonderful stars in future,,,
it's worth it!!For sure not in HongKong . I can't see any star in HongKong,,,What a terrible light polluation :(
That's truly amazing timelapse! Congratulations! I'm surrounded by amazing landscapes and I wish I could afford to make videos like that.
That was super cool, nice video and thanks for uploading this, nice one.
Beautifull footage, birnging up so many questions, and i think i also saw a few falling stars :).
So beautiful places in the world! I have always wanted to be a world traveller! Im sure I will be a world traveller
