I recommend a singer called Diana Navarro. With the song "El perdón" she is very versatile and sings different styles of music with incredible melismas. And with a very personal voice.

Dimash has acted in three tv series in Russia China and khazakstan. He had courses in Broadway stage production. There is so much performance arts in the stuff that he does with his pianist, mentor, producer, compose Igor krutoy that I don’t think it is Igor alone. Dimash is bound to have input in his stage and concert performances. He directed the music documentary video qairim elim. Because of his 20 years experience and education in music at the university and his emoting in his songs it shows he’s had acting experience. Dimash in interviews gives off a shy demeanor, but comes alive on a live stage. He’s directly involved with production of his concerts. The SOS concert in NYC that is playing on MTV right now has him in the ceiling singing inside a ball cage going across the ceiling while a guy ice skates below. This was a very brave thing to do. Shows creativity, versatility, and that he will do anything to promote his his talent. Also he’s doing it for his fans.

Dimash is competing in China 2017 in "I am a singer". There are 14 songs. The ones showing are other competitors, besides the public who must vote in the end. Dimash here was the only guest singer who did not speak Chinese but learned the Chinese language songs that were given to him in the competition. He sang in Chinese, Italian, English, Kazakh, and Russian. Despite his excellence he did not win, he got second place. The competitor who took the trophy did not shine as much as Dimash.
His quality as an actor draws your attention, but you should know that he is a lyrical singer, graduated in contemporary music, has a master's degree in composition and is currently pursuing a doctorate in musicology, therefore in all these disciplines he learned to interpret songs.

This song by Russian singer Vitas was already popular in China, so Di surprised the audience with a playful version, completely contrary to the lyrics. Three key changes instead of one!
Di's father was on a surprise visit. Di did not know he was in the audience. There is footage that he sees him after the performance. So endearing. He asked twice if he had sung well.🙃

I wonder if this is why Vitas banned him from singing it. Not so much professional jealousy, but because Dimash did a light hearted version of a song thats melancholy and has meaning to Vitas.

Hi love your show, at 11::41 when you paused on the lady clapping. The lady is 51 years old who beat Dimash in the competition. Dimash- was made aware that he was predetermined to finish in second place. There is video showing all this on TH-cam.

He would be a wonderful musical actor or opera singer. In fact the Astana opera came calling and asked him to join them. He turned them down indicating he wanted to explore the possibilities of his voice and popular music. If he would have joined the opera he would probably become the greatest opera singer in Kazakhstan that most of us would have never heard of. He will definitely get more exposure and bring his Kazakh dreams to the world going in the direction he is now. FYI - Dimash said on MTV last week that he listens to Michael Jackson, Hard Rock, Emminem, Jazz, Baroque classical and Roman Catholic choirs! Quite the diversity!
He is in a movie, in the SciFi fantasy piece Creators: The Past, where he sings the soundtrack for the end credits. The song is called Across Endless Dimensions, and worth reacting to.

Recently Dimash gave his first interview in English (in 2017 he knew only several english words and now he can give interview in it) for MTV youtube canal and interviewer asked him about his favorite music. Dimash replied that Micheal Jackson, but he is a melomaniac and he listen all kind of music - from baroque music, through roman catholic choir music, rap, jazz, italian classic music to hard rock - th-cam.com/video/t2y9ZSjOGc8/w-d-xo.html . Du hast recht es ist die selbe Show wie von SOS und Opera 2 war der zweite Auftritt. Warum Vitas, von dem das Lied stammt es Opera 2 nannte weiß ich nicht. Hat ja nix mit Oper zu tun. Egal, jedenfalls war Dimash Auftritt sehr eindrucksvoll wie ich finde.

Be careful with him. All (or nearly all) Russian TV recording are playback. And last released thing (I miss you) is .... He is very respectful against elderly and doesn't say No to things which are not even from a bottom drawer.
Didn't understand the last sentence somehow, but are you saying that this one and the latest one are playback?
@@EricsByd This one is not. It was recorded in China. Things on Russian TV are playbacks. He's Muslim and there is very strong influence of his parents. Parents often fulfil their own dreams though their children. And Krutoy (Russian composer) is an old man who has found a young guy who can make something out of nothing so he can make a good money . But this is not even post-soviet music, this is soviet music for grannies.
Sorry for intruding...it probably means that even though he'd like to and he can sing live, the shows don't allow it and so he has to lipsync out of respect.
This show took place in China and everything was live, though the lyrics are in Russian. But if you check out all or almost all performances that took place in Russia with Igor Krutoy playing the piano (probably even more), a lot of them are lipsync. Including his latest release, "I Miss You". It's very difficult to tell, he's also a lipsync master. Still Dimash though.

@@EricsByd Everything you watch on the Singer contest in China is completely live. This is true that most Russian TV studios don't offer the possibility of live sound. Therefore just stay away from them and react to his solo concerts instead. Or just remember that in Dimash's case it doesn't really matter because he sounds even better live and just don't make a great deal out of it, like many of us who understand what is going on and why.
This entire thing has nothing to do with his being a Muslim. Krutoy is a very talented and influential composer in Russia and Dimash dreamed about working with him since childhood. However, his work with him is only a minority of everything he does. His Chinese and Kazakh and other songs are also amazing and are usually performed live. But you have to understand that the culture in the entire post Soviet states is such that they prefer to show official TV shows prerecorded because it saves them a lot of money and effort that arranging live sound requires. It is out of Dimash's control or responsibility, that is just the reality of some places he performs in.
I think that the lady who answered you is being very unkind and disrespectful. Krutoy is a very talented composer, especially in crossover style, which Dimash loves, and many like his songs very much. Even if she doesn't she should remember it's a matter of taste and shouldn't be so disrespectful. The only problematic thing about him is that he is a part of this post Soviet show business system, but that's a given and you have to accept that and/or learn where to look for live performances, because there are plenty of those. Dimash is a great live performer and obviously prefers to perform live. As i said, everything on the Chinese Singer show is completely live.
