To be fair, Hades just wanted to uphold the rules. What kind of keeper of hell would he be if he let people just walk out of there willy-nilly? If you were dead, you were supposed to stay dead.
Remember seeing this game once and happy to see it again and people giving the attention it deserves it is surely unique and distinct in its own way speaking as a native greek
I actually find the story pretty amusing. Usually it's Hera who's salty about stuff and curses mortals. Here however, it's the opposite. Props from my end, I'll definitely give it a go.
The sarisa or sarissa (Greek: σάρισα) was a long spear or pike about 4 to 6 m (13 to 20 ft) in length. It was introduced by Philip II of Macedon and was used in his Macedonian phalanxes as a replacement for the earlier dory, which was considerably shorter. These longer spears improved the strength of the phalanx by extending the rows of overlapping weapons projecting towards the enemy, and the word remained in use throughout the Byzantine years to sometimes describe the long spears of their own infantry.

Man, I remember playing this game so much back in the day. I also really liked Apotheon Arena but the playerbase never really took off. No one really even plays it anymore other than the occasional person maybe checking it out only to realize it's dead, or two people deciding to play it together. Even after this review, no more than 11 people played the full game.
Just reinstalled the game about a week ago, what a great game, and it genuinely amazes me someone on the internet actually acknowledged it. keep up the good work
8:18 This line makes no sense as an insult in ancient Greek times. Having a large pp was commonly associated with stupidity so telling someone that their pp is small would be a compliment. Source: I'm Greek, my shlong is long and i have the dumb
I remember a while ago it was free on PlayStation for psplus, and i got it not thinking much about it. Once I downloaded and played it, I didn't put it down for like, 4 days, loved it so much. Happy to see a good vid on it now.
I got this game a long time ago when it was a ps plus exclusive. Always thought it was extremely underrated and pretty damn fun. Great review! Glad it’s getting more attention.
Gonna have to give it a go. I initially gave it a miss because it reminded me of Nighog a bit, which I didn't really like. But I really do love the ancient Greek aesthetic, like everyone else in the world. It's juuuust a little more interesting than Ancient Roman history, to me. My dad even had the pommel of a dagger, though it was old and caked in rust, he gave it to me when I was 8, and I've had it as a lil' necklace pendant ever since. I just wish you had a referal link so you can make some DOLLAR DOLLAR BILLS YA'LL
Thank you for unlocking this game from my memory. I haven't played it, but I remember watching green irish pewdipie playing the first hour or so. Thankfully what little I saw I forgot, so I'm gonna go play it
The first time I saw this game was when Jacksepticeye played it when it first released over 10 years ago. Unfortunately, even though I immediately recognized the game's awesomeness, my Steam purchasing power was nonexistant then, but that's okay because it's sitting in my library right now.
youre dickriding this game so hard i thought i was watching an ad for a second to then realize i was indeed watching an ad and continue watching it, yes im gonna play it
It's always bothered me that Hades so often gets done dirty in media. Out of all the Greek gods you could make "evil", writers consistently choose to make the isolationist ruler, whose focus is on justice and loyalty and who has one of the only healthy marital relationships in Greek mythology, the "bad guy". I don't get it.
As a Greek I can confirm this is based
As a Turk I can confirm this is cringe

As a thug hunter, i will confirm this video is historically accurate
this game is a representation of how greek people view the world

Uh the Underworld is moreso a waiting room for the dead. Hell in Greek Mythos is Tartarus.

Thanks Broleg. Now I'm adding this to my wishlist asap.
This is the Rome Total War 2 unit cards having their own war.

Being Greek as well, i saw this game a few years ago and beat it twice. Underrated gem of a game!
It’s been ten years since the last upload
The virgin realism vs the chad pottery art style
As an Australian with little to no relation with Greece I can second this
I played this game when it was given out on PlayStation Plus years ago and I had a blast, it's nice to see people hyped for it here in the comments.

I don't know why, but the gameplay looks like a flash game, not in a negative way
Yeah, its the animated joints, it is used in alkot of flash games.
Just ad "nidas" or "idas" to the end of your name, which ever one plugs in the best. Instant epic Greek name.
why do i instantly think of that one greek vs turk debate watching this lol
