Speaking of Joaquin Phoenix, he has been great in indie movies in recent years. I LOVED his role in C'MON C'MON (2021) (which was incredibly heartwarming actually). Another great performance was in INHERENT VICE (2014) which is based on a novel and is essentially a slow burn version of THE BIG LEBOWSKI with a 1970s setting, and incredibly hilarious.
And Oscar-nominee Brendan Gleeson as an Arckham asylum guard…this is going to be something we do not expect, just as the first movie😊this will be great!

I think it's great they're doing something creatively exciting with Joker II rather than just retread the first movie

It's more so that Joker aided Harleen's route for her sympathy and her own sociopathy which was already in her. Hopefully this movie will tackle that.
