- I couldn't help but get emotional at the end... This trailer was so overwhelming for so many different reasons. The reprisals of old themes, the reveals of the beautiful locales. The drama and suspense. It was all just SO MUCH and I am SO. GOSH. DANG. EXCITEDDDDD!!
Also, in case you were wondering, 5.4 and 5.5 videos for Shadowbringers are still on their way! I just couldn't resist uploading the trailer reaction ahead of schedule for the sheer levels of hype it provided.

Every time I see this trailer and the Meteor WOL stands in the most heroic pose of the century on the moon. It shakes me to the core. Enjoy your adventure.
I think that's what pushed me over the emotional edge honestly. It was just so powerful combined with the music.

So much to digest but my favorite part of this trailer will always be the sun behind the WoL, making him appear as Azem. Such an amazing shot that tells so much with so little. The Sharlayan reveal is a close second....every time...that city is just so amazingly beautifully designed.
Soken is a master of his craft. The entire team knows how to blend story and song, adding more and more to our epic tales. I am so happy you are invested as the rest of us. Noo!!!! Soon you'll have past the point that I've played! Been busy doing side content and leveling alt jobs up.
I'm currently working my way through Endwalker! I'm excited to see you start! I loved your reactions to Shadowbringers, that goddamn expansion made me sob uncontrollably for hours, maybe even days, who knows, so I'm scared to see what Endwalker will do to me.
I was actually someone who skipped all story up until the beginning of Shadowbringers, because I grew up playing World of Warcraft and knew that no one really focused much on story and that true endgame was just raiding content, so I never got invested and interested in stories before. Many people, especially one of my friends, yelled at me for this and insisted I HAD to pay attention to Shadowbringers, and so I did, and I don't regret it, despite how emotional it made me. I'm currently beginning anew on a new character to go through ARR, Heavensward, and Stormblood properly, so I can grasp all of the story in its entirety and get a full understanding on everything as I go through Endwalker.
It's so enjoyable seeing other people enjoy this game. Final Fantasy XIV has easily become my favorite game of all time so to see other people enjoy it immensely to the point of getting emotional over small, powerful scenes just makes me so happy. I hope you enjoy your time through Endwalker, and I'll be glad to watch your progression through it!
EDIT: I made it to Heavensward properly! I'm scared to pay attention to story now! :D
I can't tell if these are old recordings or not, but if you are going through this currently, I'd also suggest that you check out the Endwalker launch trailer. I really gotta hand it to Square. They borrow and retread a lot from the science fiction, fantasy, and the rest of the FF series.
But that shot of a paladin in full armor standing on the moon silhouetted by the Blue Marble is so unique and iconic.
