    Question: Why is my first reaction to a new Joe from NDB video to think of coffee?
    Answer: Your relaxed and very informative delivery style is best served and complemented by a fresh coffee.

      That is funny, I am sipping my first cup of coffee right now as I respond. I truly appreciate the kind words, thank you!

    I have had mine for a couple years as well and I love it. I wish the selector knob ALT/VS/HDG etc. on the left and the encoder knob on the right were backlit along with the toggle switches. I like lighting that enables a quick look.

      That would be an awesome addition! I wonder if they could sell a new shell with that option built in.

      How has the wear and tear gone? I am on the fence whether the get the OG Alpha, or the XPC Alpha.

    • @natedogg7376
      @natedogg7376 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lowrivera Mine is still like new. No kids so noone else touches it. If I were to buy again I would get the XPC as it has a spring loaded starter switch and Hall effect sensors but may no mistake I love mine and won't buy another till it's broke. Outside of XBOX needs you can't go wrong with either as far as a quality product and if your flying with out a yoke....your in for a real treat!

      @@lowrivera The Bravo has had no issues. My original Alpha did get some dust stuck on the shaft and it affected the sensor. After cleaning with a CO duster and wiping the shaft down, the Alpha is back to 100%.
      I do have an upcoming review of the Alpha XPC coming up soon. I have had it for a little over a month now and feel like I have enough time to give it a full and honest review.

    Great video again Joe, but have you not experienced issues with losing annunciator lights?. I've had my Bravo 6 months but regularly need to remove and reinstall driver for lights to work

    • @JoeNDBAVIATION
      @JoeNDBAVIATION  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a pain. What aircraft is it happening most with? I have been wondering if this is an issue with updates to the sim breaking the code linking with the Bravo.

  • @CarlandCrez

    Had it since it came out, disappointed with getting the lights to work, seem to work 50% of the time, it's such a pain having to click AFC Bridge every time you use it to get the lights working, and doesn't seem to work if you have already started a flight

    • @JoeNDBAVIATION
      @JoeNDBAVIATION  ปีที่แล้ว

      Is there a specific aircraft this occurs most with? I wonder if this is an issue with coding and sim updates.

    • @CarlandCrez
      @CarlandCrez ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JoeNDBAVIATION worked fine when the drivers were released not long after I got it, lights stopped working automatically was after a sim update, but that was ages ago, it's same on all aircraft, have to open AFC Bridge after starting sim and allow it to change computer each time before starting a flight, doesn't work if already started a flight

      @@CarlandCrez I'll have to look into that.

    I've been thinking about this but have heard that there are set up problems since around update 5 or 6 and no real help from the manufacturers.
    have you come across any problems after those or any updates. Cheers.

    • @JoeNDBAVIATION
      @JoeNDBAVIATION  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The setup for the axis and buttons are simple. The buttons for the Autopilot panel take the majority of the time.
      I think most of the complaints come from the Annunciator panel working and nor working. That is something I don't use, since I use the aircraft systems in the sim over the Bravo Annunciator.
      I will take a look at that once I get MSFS up and running correctly again. A windows update has created a world of issues that I am still troubleshooting when it comes to MSFS.

    After 2 years thrust rev detents almost completely worn. Heavy use. No flap detents. Trim wheel, no friction. Gear lever too low always bumping trim wheel. Sticky pad concept, worthless, waste of design/production money. Boeing levers flimsy and too small. No way to set up AT, Toga, and thrust rev on one lever, like most corporates. Lights take 3rd party setup. Pita. Fair price for consumer product. Still waiting fo Airbus addon, 3 months now.

      Hi MenoDumi…am considering purchasing “Bravo” for Instrument training and usage. Are you suggesting that I would have issues using “Boeing” levers for say Cessna Citations or other dual engine corporate jets?

    • @DownTheRabbit-Hole
      @DownTheRabbit-Hole 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@CFI_Randy Well.. Bravo is a decent consumer grade throttle quad. Gate style reversers where you have to lift rev paddles before entering rev zone (below idle) on Longitude, don't work great on Bravo. This is because one can put thrust levers in this zone without lifting paddles. There is the Airbus addon for bravo that is supposed to address this, but I haven't received yet. Bravo is probably most flexible Quad in consumer class, so I would recommend it. I hangered the Alpha due to low res/twitchy in pitch on flair. I prefer Thrustmaster products due to HEART technology and high resolution. TM (hi res) Pedestal style yoke (Boeing) should work well with corprorate jets because most are pedestal. Purchasing soon to replace Alpha. Good Luck.

      @@DownTheRabbit-Hole Thank you sir…I know I’ll have a lot of ‘tweaking’ to do with this Honeycomb stuff not to mention the technical programming learning curve. Oh well, guess you could call it a $500+ incentive. Best regards

    I own one. My only gripe is that the levers get in the way of operating the switches. The red annunciator/warning lights point up and are impossible to read especially when the levers are pushed in. Oh, and it's HUGE. Takes up way too much space on my desk. I'm thinking of going back to my Logitech throttles.

    • @JoeNDBAVIATION
      @JoeNDBAVIATION  ปีที่แล้ว

      I had a similar issue with the way I had my setup layed out. I went back to my dual Logitech throttles while making my videos, and even the TPM throttle from Saitek. In the end I completely adopted the Bravo and have no regrets.
      There is just so much functionality that I can tie in with the Bravo the others just can't.

    number one reversers not working,wire broke

    • @JoeNDBAVIATION
      @JoeNDBAVIATION  ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting, is the entire axis dead or just the reverser?
      You have two ways of "activating" the reverser on the quadrant, and then after that it comes down to the programming in the sim.
