"Funny how I find myself in love with you". I miss Mark so much, what a sad loss. He was a genius. This song makes me cry, it is so strong. His voice is remarkable and unique. Every album of Talk Talk and his solo album is worth to posses and to listen to. It is music from another world. God bless you, Mark, whereever you are now.
Me too 💔. Mark was such a genuine, sexy, honest person who sadly gave up singing for a family life ♥. Not many would choose family over their career!!!
One of the best songs ever written and ever existed. We used to go to this place, called Ground Round, back in the 80s. The waiting staff and managers already knew our order, so our beer and wings were already on the table when they saw come in and #94 on the jukebox, It's My Life, was already playing due to us coming there. We loved this song, we heard it there, in our cars, in the clubs we visited and everywhere where we could listen to it. The 80s was the best era in music and this was and still is, one of the best songs ever written.
Great memories this tune .. reminds me of my first yrs in jail .. great memories .. times i will never forget .. even do i was not guilty .. i never stole that plane ..
The proof you need, to know if you're a talented and respected artist, is sometimes (if you're not Bowie or Prince etc ...) when people like me learn about your death by listening to your incredibly great songs. Talk talk lives are one of the greatest lives i have ever listened to. So i came here a lot of times. A smile on my face and ... now it's a bit sad of course, cause lookin at the coments, now i know you're not in this world anymore. But cheers, see you in 2 or 3 months. Good music and good musicians never die. I'll try to come with that smile again, to listen to your legacy to the world. Untill, well, someday i won't and join you wherever you are. Fair enough i guess.
Love this song. Gave me my independence as a teenager!!! I'd blast it in my room whenever life got me down .... RIP...Much love. Listening for the 10th time now....
My brother died in Jan and had funeral in Feb so I really haven't been up on too much lately. So, so sorry to her Mark has gone. He and I are the same age, I turn 64 in May. My brother David was 62. Peace to your family.
Talk Talk did great songs. Mark Hollis was a master composer and singer. Hope you will like our cover of their hit song “Such A Shame”. th-cam.com/video/xreyDZCCLVQ/w-d-xo.html
This track blew me away 34 years ago. Within hearing it 3 times I bought the 7" and 12" versions. I played it and played it. Has amazing energy. RIP MARK
Ok a couple things: 1. Very sad right now as I just learned Mark Hollis died today 2. What a great live extended version, Mark had a fantastic voice 3. Good camera work but not enough of the bass player, it's a great riff on the chorus 4. I used to crank the shit of of this song back in the 80's and it's still one of my favorites 5. It's my life......it never ends....Mark knows that now

Mark Hollis was, in my eyes, the very definition of the ideal man. He worked for authenticity in everything he did. Few of us will ever know what it means to be authentic. He was humble, genuine and unpretentious. I have a lot of questions to ask him so I will look forward to our meeting soon. Thank you sir, for everything.
