It's an appalling cover! They played it literally note for note and chord for chord and it sounds bloody terrible compared to the original by Talk Talk. Simply no comparison. Mark Hollis's voice is a million times better than hers. She is flat and dull and makes a great track sound so dull and flat. Terrible cover!

I've been watching the different videos of No Doubt's version of this song, and I like this one the best. Her voice seems the clearest in this one and I'm not as distracted by the costumes or bizarre movements by the players.

This song was first came out in January of 1984 as a single, and also it is mentioned in Wikipedia that they wrote the song. Mark Hollis did a really great job and using TALENT for creating the song. Nowadays, they use autotune not pure TALENT. But I respect this song, but I prefer Talk Talk's version more.

It was even better in the mid 80's when the song came out.
The original was made in the 80's & this cover was released in 2003, so I suppose the 90's were great !
