I finally went to a little event a few towns over, ALONE! Been almost 4 years since I lost my beautiful wife and you guys have given me the courage to finally get out of the house and be around people. I still miss her just as much but I made it and it is All thanks to you guys! Thank you for giving me a reason to wake back up! Long story but it was definitely THANKS TO YOU GUYS! GOD BLESS ✌️🙏❤️
From one man that recently suffered a tremendous loss yet survived to another, I’m glad you made it. Life is worth going on. That is certainly what the ones we lost would want. Take care of yourself.
Baby steps... keep it up. This guy lost his entire family... orphan at 50 ---> the vice grip family always puts a smile on my face (which is hard to do)
I also lost the most beautiful girl I ever met about two years ago so I’m still stuck in an empty kitchen with the rest of the house full of dirty clothes. I really hope that the sun will shine again some day.
I agree, you can feel the love. It's cute. This crazy dude makes me laugh also. I got my girlfriend to watch a mustang episode with me one weekend thinking she would be bored stiff. She laughed her arse off also. I have always been a DIY kinda guy. And I started out (as a career) working on cars in my 20's Mostly electrical systems and then transitioned into buildings controls ect. as I got to old to roll around on my back. I get the shop talk. It's funny and I can totally relate to the things he says. LIKE (" you ever sit and just wonder about your life decisions?") LOL! When you yelled "on" into a gas can, I couldn't stop laughing! so true! Also, so informative your process and just getting things on the road.
Yup. It's a rare thing now a days, the institution of marriage having longevity, especially when the amount of love is still the overwhelming factor. That's it, it's the love your family has for each other
Thank you Mr. and Mrs. B, a fella and his family just got me through a week long visit to the hospital for a little pump repair. Laid there the entire day and night before surgery watching the VGG. It's amazing what you guys and gal do for the spirit. Some of that stuff had me laughing so hard the nurse came to check on me! Rest up Derek, get that foot in shape. One thing i've learned in life is that nothing is more important than your health (ok lesson learned a bit late) but learned. We are all watching you work your rear off and it is all TRULY appreciated!
Christmas special was good and honestly it did work good off season. A cpl months be better but DONT EVER loose family time. YoU Tub will last you many years in future, bug family will always be there for you.
I started driving in the farm country at nine years old. I learned on a 68 Ford pick up with a three on the tree. I had my license at 14 learners in Alberta. I’ve had Camaros a Firebird a big block Monty a Z28 but my favorite cars were always Chevelles, I had four of them back in the day over the years. The nicest car I’ve ever owned was a 67 Chevelle Malibu I bought from the original owner. I’m not kidding. It was a little old lady from Pasadena. It had more options than I’ve ever seen on a Malibu or including 327-295 horse factory, cruise control, walnut wheel, tilt, AC, eight track with five factory speakers, rally wheels, two-door hardtop, Bombay ivory with black buckets interior and the oddly ordered buckets, no console 2sp power slush on the column. Even had the optional speed warning buzzer needle on the speedometer with the knob under the dash to adjust the speed warning buzzer never seen that before I was 18 when I owned this car, but I didn’t realize how rare and valuable it was, I would love to see you build a 67 Malibu.
My hubby watches you, we started going together 1956, married 1959 after graduation and service for him. He started taking apart cars to learn how to put them together again, and was a mechanic for 40 years. We have a 36 ford pu, 27 model T, 34 ford sedan, 1964 Pontiac Bonniville Convertible-and an 83 GMC suburban. Built them and kept them. We gave my son a 65 Buick at 16 and still has it, just gave him our 71 Nova. We now have to loosen bolts and do work on them together, up in years, not so strong anymore. Keep up the good work.
My wife and I love you all and admire everything about y’all’s family! We’re fans of both channels and love your content so much, the shirts are brilliant I love it! Your family is definitely blessed!
I came across VGG about a month ago and have been watching an episode just about every day! Love the show & the love the way yall are as a family! I have been a gearhead all my life & Watching VGG made me follow a path in being a mobile mechanic to help people out who can't afford shop prices. Thanks for the videos. Please keep it going. May u and your family always be blessed.
I really hope you do this or something like this again because a lot of us really look forward to just spending time with you and your family. It doesn’t really matter what you guys are actually doing, it’s about spending time with the people you love. Please stay safe my friend.

Revivals, drag & drive, race week, homestead improvements - y’all could make a video chopping wood & sharpening knives and I would still watch it! Wholesome, clean, and entertaining. I’m excited to see what’s ahead. Keep up the great work y’all!

Really enjoyed the live stream last night! The time went by so fast. Love all 3 channels and all the different content. The one constant, across all 3 channels, is your family! Your love for each other really puts you head and shoulders above anyone else on TH-cam! Oh yeah, there's the cars and stuff too....lol. Don't know how you guys do everything you do and still keep it fun. It's a gift for all of us! Thank you and keep up the awesome work!

I grew up with "vice grips, pliers, a hanner, baling wire and duck tape" for real in my tool box. I am 77 and cars were so uch easier to work on old days. Not🤬 these days ! Keep up the cool episodes! God Bles 🙋 Michael
An average fella gets alot of inspiration from your videos. Much appreciated. I really look forwards to watching, and thank-you so much for all the humanitarian work you've done to rescue these legendary rigs.
Would love to see you and Paul Shinn do a Model A Rat Rod build and have Paul and Tina join you and Jess on a Sick Week. Thanks for introducing me to his channel. I'm not a Model A guy yet, have my hands full with my Air-force 5-ton, but ever since I learned to drive a Model T I've wanted a Model A. Please do more of these live shows, love seeing your family interacting together.
YOU MAY NEVER READ THIS 😱 because you have a zillion- batrillion awesome comments ahead of us, but incase you make it to this one, “THANK YOU for your shows, your dedication, humor, knowledge, and sharing your precious family! My husband and I agreed with Jessica when she said there is nothing else really left to watch. We love your show( and the cleaness of it also 🤗 Also, I think this “fellette” could build a car from the ground up now 😬 No. Nah. Well maybe I could fix a thing or three on it ☺️ No, Nah. Hey guys. Thank you for the entertainment. I don't care what anyone says. All your content is cool. From revivals to events and races to simply opening mail on camera. Love it all. Love you and your family.
I hope you enjoyed the cigar box guitar I sent you.. fun to make, GDG is the tuning.. just heard a reference to it so I finally know you received it. I’m relieved. 😁
As always, another great vidjoe. Love when Jessica and the kids make their appearances lol. As a VGG subscriber, your family is exactly why I return, just great everyday people. So many other YT channels constantly asking to subscribe to them and show you 15000 different ways of how you can make donations to them. It's such a blessing to watch and enjoy your content.
enjoyed your vice grip live garage. you always have interesting things to say and i enjoy watching your videos which are entertaining, educational and i just like watching them. I don't work on vehciles as I am old and not financially able to do so. but i did work on them during my teenage years and in my 20's to early 30's.watching your videos always remind me of the 68 F100 my Dad used to own and drive for 30 years (I drove it too and did alot of the maintenance on it). my Dad sold it about the year 2000. did try to get him to give it to me but he said it need too much work on the engine and didn't think I can handle it. duh... lol anyway, the guy who bought it from my dad was a liar, claimed to be the original owner, removed the new tires on it and put bald tires on it and I found it on sale at the walmart parking lot. told my Dad and he was pissed off. he called the guy and give him a piece of his mind. lol probably in junkyard, smashed, cubed, recyled into molten metal. who knows. keep up the great work. you all including Jessica and the kids are a delight to watch.😀 -Jon
I definitely agree, about Tennessee. I’ve lived in California, North Dakota, Indy, Florida and 15 years in China, while we were building our homestead in northeast Tennessee. Now, we’ve finally been able to retire, here on our Tennessee homestead. Blessings, to you, Jessica and the boys.
Question for you Derek (or anyone) since you brought up Kaiser and Studebaker... @1:08:44 - I could swear i saw a photo/article in a recent magazine of a Kaiser - Studebaker (joint venture?) with huge bat wings. Not the Hawk. It looked like a commander but had LARGE wings or fins. I used to drive past one in Plymouth PA all throughout the 70's into the 80's. If i was to guess, the body looked like that of a 53 Commander from the front, but again had magnificent gull wing fins. Looked everywhere online for the existence of said vehicle but it eludes me.
Love you guys Derek you are amazing . I've followed your channel since I learned about you tube about 4-5 years ago. It snow balled . Being a truck driver of 24 years I've spent alot of time on the road. Thank you and your family for all that you do. Sincerely, thank you.👌😀👍👍
Derek and Jessica, please don’t think twice about the morons criticizing you for not doing only revivals on your channels. I’d bet 95% of your audience loves all of your content. Don’t change a thing about what y’all do. Variety is the spice of life. I love the revivals it I also like the other stuff. From reading your other comments, it’s obvious that most of your viewers do as well.
You guys are such a beautiful couple and I love your shirts! I am so glad I found your channel and I gotta say,I have never seen a better mechanic ever and you make it so fun to watch!
You guys are awesome ❤ been watching your videos for almost a year now Derek I’m subscribed to your channel. Keep up the great work. Again Thank you and your family. From UK 👌

Love the show and format! Yes on a motorcycle revival/rebuild. Working on a 68 HD FLH restoration. First bike I had in high school and recently found it again. Brought it to Alaska.
thank you for the great shows I am in South Korea and not able to work on my 1957 chevy belair 210 2dr station waggon your show as helped life over to be shorter and shorter Thank you again
Hi y'all! Derek, sorry to hear you're out of commission for a bit. You guys look great! I feel your pain dealing with ebay. I've ordered stuff for neighbors' gas powered tools, and none of it worked, and it's like pulling teeth trying to get ahold of someone to get a refund, and you never get back anything close to what you paid! Amazon on the other hand has a full time staff always helpful with purchases and refunds if needed. It's wonderful to see you both working so well together and compliment each other so well. I'm not even halfway thru this video, but I have to stop and get outside as I have things to do, LOL. Back at supper time.
Thank you Derek and Jessica for bringing happiness to others. You’re good people and fun to watch.
They are a blessing to all of us, and a fine example of FAMILY!
Hi Derek and Jessica. What did you do with the Barrapoopa that you hauled by tailer? Are you going to keep it?

I AM GLAD YOU AND YOUR WIFE GET ALONG SO WELL AND PLEASE JUST BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR RACING
So good to see you guys during that scripted live while you were doing a revival live on the main channel too. It's magic. lol
Love the videos. My nephew is now buying, repairing & selling vehicles. He got me hooked on your videos.
Hope you guys enjoyed the coffees!

Your channel is the best! Every episode is enjoyable from start to finish.
Hello from Germany. I wish I could help You working on those wonderful cars one of these days.
