Really enjoyed the review. Love the “flipping boards” format for the videos. Isle of Cats was my favourite game from 2020. My wife and I had a ton of fun with it. Now I must get working on designing that dog game… ;)
Nice review, agree with one round too long critique, for me it is a main reason to sometimes overloook this game which I also like quite a bit, , but it is really popular in Jelgava. What I thought in your video is the new trend of super succesfull games (Arnak, Isle of Cats, Dune imperium) that all of them is destilled mixtures of well known and loved mechanisms.
Yes and it works surprisingly well! All of these games we enjoyed and they seem to get the best of both worlds. Excited to see how creators take this concept even further. What could be a good mixture of well knows mechanisms?
Oooh I tried New York Zoo based on your recommendation so now I'm curious about this! Because I think the cards could add a bit more spice to it. New York Zoo was fun and cute but kind of simple in the end, and I feel like Patchwork is already the Perfect simple tile-laying game.

Не поняла смысл игры.
Cats of Chernobyl? Rescuing cats from radioactive fallout? 😂 The art work is so ugly.
