I'm conflicted. While the gameplay looks super original and well developed, the Winnie theming feels inelegantly bolted on. If I had to guess, this game was in development for a while but they slapped the new theme on it when Winnie the Pooh entered public domain to try to boost attention.
Good theory but the timing kinda makes it questionable, winnie the pooh has been public for a pretty good while so it might not be for attention
which sucks, they made a game before which wasnt popular, this game is super cool looking but they had to add winnie to it to gain attraction. im not hating on them, im hating on what makes a game popular
To explain the winnie being added is because was originally a game jam game that was made in a week.

@@TheIndieBuffet what i find more interesting is that the virus seems to be protective of its host.. like in the opening we did not kill him cause he did not attack us.. the moment it noticed some of those people are a threat to whinny it grew some emergency limbs in order to protect him

Ah yes... winnie's hole... winnie will finnaly experience a "wennier"
so, in the porcupine fight when you were about to lose your shield, it only happened when the enemy had spikes,
what was happening is that when a target with spike takes damage, they deal damage back,
and you had a perk that dealt damage to any enemy that hit you for less than your entire shield,
you created a feedback loop,
you hit them,
spike triggers and hits you for 1,
the perk then triggers and hits them for 3,
and then the loop starts over, and the way the game decides to handle this is by saying
"F*ck it, you lose your shield and insta kill the enemy"

@@TheIndieBuffet honestly, even if it's a bug I hope the dev keeps it,
it's a good way to balance what would otherwise be an OP combo without making it useless,
it makes it so that even if you can get thousands of shield you can still lose a run if you aren't careful,
and with how insanely powerful shield builds can get, having a counter to them that doesn't feel like complete BS is great to see
is it actually possible to do what the honey badger says? i know you can zoom out from the combat menu

I doubt Winnie the Pooh is public domain. I hope for the developers that it is different enough not to hold up in court.
My dude it is easily, easily provable that it is in the public domain and has been since 2022. Google helps.
