It's kinda perfect since it's like that time when Simpsons referenced Pagliacci, and the joke was that Krusty didn't understand or appreciate it but just breaks apart antiques to resell in a low-brow market. I could go on about the sad irony of a clown having no clue about commedia dell'arte, but it would be amazing for Smiling Friends to treat NOTHING BUT TROUBLE as their replacement for how Simpsons treats italian opera.
My fav Dan Aykroyd story is when he went to write Blues Brothers. Landis co-wrote it and in a interview said he got infuriated with Aykroyd because he said bring me a rough draft script. Thats maybe at most 10 pages. Aykroyd shows up in 3 days, or so, with a 300+ page script, that would have taken 6+ hours to watch, all characters had their own back story, and the musical numbers were hours long. Landis says to Aykroyd this isn't going to work. So Aykroyd got angry and said, "Then you write it!" and threw the script in his face. The current 2hr and 13min is what Landis helped edit and reduce it down to so it would be palatable for the studio.
Akyroyd also insisted there be a scene that shows how the car got its amazing powers. It's not like we could infer that the car was held together _because they were on a mission from God._
A lot of people don't know this, but Dan Aykroyd has Asperger's, which explains so much about him. I'm an aspie too and we don't do anything half-assed if it's something we're interested in. It's this thing we do called getting hyperfocused. Also having a special interest in the paranormal, conspiracies, etc. is something very common among aspies (myself included) though I have no clue why that is.

The scene from "Nothing but Trouble" with the condiment train made me cry in laughter. That movie is such a trip like zach said, its a must watch if you enjoy anything with John Candy, Dan Ackroyd, Chevy Chase, and the rest of the guys they usually make movies with.

But it was a vhs to add to my collection and I think it was before home movies were affordable. I just had ties to rental stores. I was a huge movie buff and didn't know
