I don't think its that great considering its 14 psi. I am not hating on this project at all, but its weird, those numbers are weak for what it is... any idea why? ive seen an Altezza at 300+ whp on a smaller GT2860RS on 93 octane pump gas on stock internals 3SGE Blacktop but with 650 cc injectors @ 14 psi (dual tuned - street was setup for 8 psi @ 264 whp). Could it be the VVT-i is throwing things off? Also whats your whole setup like? Using stock internals? stock injectors? I am curious - great car by the way. I love Altezzas as much as I love AE86's.
Hi thank for stopping by. these figures are on a Main Line Dyno. same car would make roughly 25% more power on more common dynos like Dynojet/Dynodynamics which typically read much higher.
@@wickedEPRacing awesome - I missed the dyno type part. Could you spare more info on the setup? I am interested in what injectors and ECU is running. Also, do you think the VBAND turbo manifold would clear an AE86 engine bay? Thanks!
I agree with you but there are unknown factors: stock injectors? VVT-i not properly setup with the ECU? are they using stock internals or low compression 3SGTE pistons? - IMHO I think they might be using stock injectors and their fuel is maxed out... cause yeah, at 14 psi I would expect above 300 hp on that turbo. A GT28 from a stock SR20 (S14+) can hit better numbers than 284 hp with larger injectors and better plugs + a tune than this setup.
@@aquasmoke8539 are you guys taking into account the type of Dyno they are using? Would make a bit more on a hub Dyno. Probably also using a fairly conservative tune on it as well.
Acabo de pasar mi 3sge beams que lo volví turbo con pistón stock a 14 psi y arrojo más de 320 whp, mi pregunta es si forjó el motor cuántos whp aguanta la culata y block ?

look at the torque though 350nm/282rwhp
stock would be 215nm/150rwhp to 160rwhp
if he use dynopack hub horsepower he is around 330-350hp
What internals are u running??
Stock or forged?
I have a 1986 celica. Can i put a turbo on the 3sge or is tunning and shims a problem?
I think it should be fine. lots of room to place the turbo. Same engine. I'm looking at a '89 Celica to do the same thing.
What ECU?
Haltech 1500 Elite!!
What is needed for such a build ?
Aircoolant valve
🔥🔥🔥🇯🇵🇯🇵🔥🔥🔥
Engine setup??
Weak

@@jonathanmbrassea128 it is like really really weak I’m guessing the vvti throwing everything off

Really weak in comparison to what though? On which dyno? what environmental factors?
