    Boundary Supply is one of our favorite travel-gear companies, and the Errant Pack is a perfect example of why!
    While the Errant is over-engineered for the average user, the low price point, modular ecosystem, and BADASS aesthetic make it one of the coolest EDC's we've ever reviewed. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    Boundary Supply is so f**king underrated. They craft backpack masterpieces and have one of the coolest modular ecosystems that we have ever seen.
    We also love their style - when most backpack companies are playing it safe, BS is creating packs that have a unique identity and a one-of-a-kind vibe.
    We love the Errant Pack, and the Boundary Supply Prima System is one of our favorite mid-sized backpacks on the market. We hope to be able to review the Boundary Supply Arris, Boundary Supply Duffel Pack, and the Boundary Supply Arclite Sling Pack soon!

      My personal suggestion would be to also show how you can pack the different backpacks. Like showing the different loadout and configuration. So that it easier for a person to understand if this backpack is suitable for a specific use. Most of the reviews on TH-cam just say “ this is for a techy person or a photographer or a commuter “ but they hardly show it in practice. So for example would be cool to see how you would set up the Prima if you - like me - work in office and then after working you would like to go to the gym. Can you pack in a way to have both your job essentials and the gym clothing with you ? How practical it is? For example I was lucky enough to see the review of a guy using the peak design 20L for college and this convinced me that I could use it even if I don’t even own a camera. For me including a dedicated 2 minutes session about the different loadouts and use of a specific bag would be killer. Lot of people are turned off thinking that the bag is cool but not practical for their use or they may get the bag and realise that they were wrong and they can’t really use it for their daily habits

    Great in-depth review man! I love the function and anesthetics of the Errant as well (mine is in X-PAC grey), but I'm on the same page as you on the comfort of it. I'm okay with the back panel, but the straps are a bit too stiff and digs in to my rib cage too (wished there was some way to alleviate this). Keep the quality videos coming! You got yourself a new subscriber! :D

    I miss the biggest con for this bag, the capacity you can carry is so much less than the stated volume. It is directly related to this bag being a bit over engineered. In practice, the main storage compartment holds a surprisingly little volume because all the other compartments eat away space and you end up with a oddly shaped and constricted storage space.

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Imre, thanks for the comment! And totally agreed, while I love this pack, it's def over-engineered, which severely compromises some functions (most notably capacity)

    Nice video! I have the blue Errant. The straps do break in after a while. I find them pretty comfortable. I love the bag. Wish it was a little bigger. It doesn’t feel like a 24l bag, more like a 20l. Perfect for EDC and ok for a 2 or 3 day trip if you don’t take too much with you. A small peak design packing cube fits really nice, and you can add a jacket and maybe an extra jeans or pair of shoes, but that’s about all the clothing you can take with you.

    Hey NN! Thanks for your videos! I got on an EDC kick the past couple months and bought a ton of Boundary bags (Errant, Aegis, Prima, Arclite) after watching a ton of YT reviews (including yours!). Initially, I wasn't super impressed with the Errant. It felt like there wasn't enough space and the coarseness of the shoulder straps really irked me liked you mentioned in the video. I took the Errant to San Diego for a week and grew to love the bag. I think the coarseness of the straps didn't bother me over time as much. What was impressive however was how comfortable the back and overall bag felt with a fully loaded Errant. The quality of the materials really shined when the bag was being thrown around and full. The magnets work a lot better when the bag is being used and not empty. The caveat to all this was that in order to solve the space issue, I bought the Aux compartment and the EXM Port Liter 6 and they helped so much. I put my packing cube in the Errant and all my tech gear in the Aux and the bag was great. I also put the Peak Design camera mount on the Errant shoulder strap and this bag is perfect for a 5-7 day trip. Anyways, thanks for your vids! Keep them going!

    Hey! Firstly, I would like to say that I like this review a lot. It made me purchase the bag and I’m loving it. I would like to share my personal experience on how I made the magnetic hardware on the top easily shut. Firstly, you need to find out which side fits in easily and which side is having trouble. For example, the right side of the magnet lock on mine is easy when I just drop the top flap but the left side doesn’t go in. Once you figure that out, you just need to ensure the part which doesn’t automatically go in gets done first then you just drop the other side for a secure fit. It works 100% of the time. It’s a bit difficult to explain but it works for me :)

    Hi, thanks for the review. Lots of good points in there.
    After a few weeks in 2023 of owning the Errant Pack and several accessories, My comments are:
    - The quality of the construction is GARBAGE. The laser cuts on the straps unravel, the hypalon on the back panel and on the Aux compartment crack and peel, despite zero abuse. The zipper pulls start to disintegrate very fast.
    - The straps are very rigid and for me uncomfortable. They seem to work for some people, perhaps due to body type.
    - The look is very nice, and I enjoy the utility. Sadly the bag deteriorates so fast that it mars the overall look.

  • @PKandME
    @PKandME 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    After 1 year usage it's a great backbag with some flaws imho:
    1) The small straps to open the backbag on various clasps started to fall off and break after just a few month.
    2) Most disappointing thing are the accessories like the aux compartment, which is just faulty design and doesn't hold properly at the top, since the wrong mounts were used. It makes it useless for everyone, since you can't trust it will hold while you hike or have so run a bit faster. So I don't recommend anyone to buy it, since it's also very pricy and not well thought through.

    Can I use this as a "college" backpack? I'm on a quest to find a backpack that says "I'm a woman in my 30s who's not a college kid anymore, loves to travel but takes her studies seriously, and is persnickety about her choice in backpacks because she needs her pockets and space for (note)books" ;) I've seen tons of reviews and I'm lost, so if you could give me some tips, I would deeply appreciate it! ... Love your reviews by the way!

      Hey Evi, thanks for the kind words and double thanks for using the word 'persnickety' 👏🏻😂. I think the Errant would be a PERFECT backpack for your specific needs. I would also suggest taking a look at the Aer Tech pack and the Minaal daily backpack. Keep us posted with what you pick!

      @@Nomads.Nation I just LOVE that word, "persnickety"! 😀 Soooo, I've made a decision and I ordered... 🥁... the blue Errant pack! AND they threw in the port pack for free (#back2school)! Awesome timing 🤓 Thanks for the advice! 🙏🏼

      @@Nomads.Nation anyway i like a lot the reviews! All of them. I think are among one of the the most honest together with HumorousMaximus. Chase Reeves is very entertaining but with the time I start realising he is hardly saying the cons. For example for him the Errant doesn’t have any flaws at all ( besides the magnetic closure ). In fact I have been always tempted to get one, the look is sick. But I wonder about the functionality. As you and also others ( like Ismono )showed, the top acces sto the main cargo area is almost useless and you may end up always using the clamshell opening which on the go may be not the best solution. Thanks again for the review !

    Boundary Supply? BUYER BEWARE! Terrible quality. Falls apart. Last a lifetime? You must be joking. That goes for the Errant pack as well as accessories too. What's worse - internationally they dont stand behind their product. Even when I purchased an accessory from a licensed dealer of theirs, the dealer refunded my money themselves and told me that they stopped dealing with Boundary as they dont answer warranty claims. AVOID!

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  ปีที่แล้ว

      thank you for this information, I've heard that Boundary's customer support is improving, but maybe there's still work for them to do
