Never seen someone more happy to still have all their things from prison from over a year ago !! I've always left all my things for my friends and people that still had time left to serve, especially the people who didn't have nothing, or people that didnt have the luxury of going to the store like others, both times I got out of prison, including my prison tv, I left that as well to one of my homeboys !! The clothes they have me to be released in, hit the trashcan soon as I got out the gate, I didn't want nothing I had in prison once I was released to the real world, wanted no memories from a place that I wouldn't even wish on my worst enemy !!!!!!! !!!!!!!
@@kit.e6864 They either take a prison job or work in OPI. I made $18 a month but had PPL who would put $$ on my books. I worked in the laundry and the power plant at Chillicothe. Also went to dental lab school at London and got a Associate degree at Chillicothe through Hocking Tech. I did a flat sentence so I knew when I was getting out. While at London I got into LENS a institutional tv station.
What would you suggest to for new guys to purchase when they arrive? What does the prison give you? I know they have a limit of like $360 a month that you can spend from what I have read. If things do not go well, I will be making this trip soon.. Thanks
First thing you want to get is hygiene always hygiene. Yes it's about $360 a month depending on the prison. But they only let you spend 180 every 2 weeks. If you spent $180 the first week you will not have anything left to spend for the second week a lot of guys after they get the initial things maybe spend you know $90. every week. Radio or a tablet's going to cost you up to $150. I'm not quite sure on the tablets the that's a new item. Radio can cost you $40 for $80 solar powered radios so that might be a good thing to buy. A lot of people want to buy clothes and now they give your basic greens to wear for your work and when you go to jail I think they give you five Paris attacks five boxers five t-shirts and 5 green dress shirts and maybe three of each I can't remember exactly. But for your casual clothes that you want to wear after work and on your days off people Levi sweatpants shorts t-shirts and shoes oh yes don't forget your sneakers The prison will give you steel toe work boots or maybe not steel toe but work boots and you don't want to wear those on your day off and running the track and stuff so all your workout clothes too I forgot about the workout clothes and they're very expensive like $40 for a pair of sweats it would be $3 at Walmart
@@FEDERALPRISONTALK thanks for the info. crazy that they count buying clothes and hygiene items against your monthly amount. I can understand if it was soft drinks, chips, etc....
Buy all hygiene before you get snacks and other food treats if you buy the food and snacks before you grab your hygiene the inmates will look at different may even try to fight you or steal from you
the kitchen is the highest paying job. when i worked in a prison 36 years ago the kitchen worker made 41 cents per hour. which was the highest paying job. the head woman who ran the kitchen (state worker) was murdered in the kitchen.
I heard that but see I was going to halfway house and I was totally broke I had no money I needed all my underwear and socks everything cuz I had nowhere to go after prison and no money and no family or friends or nobody waiting for me
in a federal camp it still depends what region and who's doing the cooking and who's ordering the food but hamburgers on Wednesdays and Chicken on Thursdays fish on Fridays
Be carful in Pennsylvania. The court system is completely corrupt, as well as the lousy state police and local cops. “Welcome to Pennsylvania come for vacation stay incarceration leave on probation”

Convenience and price fairness is the last thing in prison. As others have said, not happy with the setup then don't do the crime. Best of luck. You be good boy now.
if you get out of prison it's parole not probation. there is a difference. the little scam prisoners do is ask for pen pals. women write them and think they are the special one. when it gets to that point the prisoner will ask them for 10 dollars a month. they get 3 or4 or more women sending them 10 dollars a month. i use to work the front desk and check in visitors. women think they are these guys girlfriends. (which i always thought these women must be pretty hard up). you should see their faces when i would tell them this guy has 3 or 4 women visiting and or sending money. they are heartbroken. what do you expect. a con is a con.
the federal prison system has not had parole in over 20 years. everything is federal probation now parole is only for state prisons and that systems going out too probation has taken over everything there is no parole in Federal
@bobcole612 I've been off probation for 2 years. I got out over 5 years ago. give me a call anytime 505-226-2117 nowadays I'm helping homeless people and people getting out of prison in jail try to get a job and a place to live and you know back into the world if that's what they want.
@ yeah, I wasn’t sure because of the timeline, but I gathered from the video you were out of prison. I see you still get some grief from people. I’ve never been in prison, but I don’t judge a man by what he did yesterday, I judge a man by what he does today.
Thank you!
Love the information

We used to make massive breaks in the evening. The guys each would contribute and we would chow down. Prison has an upside believe it or not.
It does
I like your video, I've never been to prison, never been on probation. I'm 48 and live in Barstow California.
probation is a lot harder than prison
I was in a Texas prison for 10 year back in 1995. Prison was hell in those days
I just found your page bro I hope your doing well

they hustle and they also get jobs for the prison it's about 12 cents an hour to start
I had my commissary day at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

As I listened to this guy, all I could think was; “Don’t like it? Then don’t come to jail…”
I can't believe he brought home his canteen
Of course i do not want to forget what I came from
believe it

I understand.
How you get money for that in jail
okay I'm not in jail I haven't been in prison over 5 years but people put money on your books or you earn it like doing dishes landscaping
what kind of food did you eat in prison??
