    I was just obsessively listening to this song on my drive home 2 days ago.......and now you make a video.....of all the people to get mind reading technology I’m glad it’s you.

    Can you now demonstrate Poppers harmonica solo?

    • @RyanLendt
      @RyanLendt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      the harmonica solo is called 'play the A major scale as fast as you can' - i couldn't dream up anything useful to say about that

    You are unbelievable. Almost every time I have a song I specifically want to learn, you have covered it already with brilliance.
    Thank you so much, man 😊

    Dude, you're the best! It's like everytime I come across those songs that make me say "Man I love that song, I bet it'd be a good one to play!" there's Ryan queued up next in the autoplay! Seriously though, all these songs that seemed so impossible are now "unlocked!" IDK if it's your genuine candor, your humor, the way you break down the sections so simplistically, or the way you put all those together, but I've learned SO MANY songs from you even after playing/dusting guitar for almost 27 years now on the back end of my 30s. So I just wanted to take a minute to say... THANKS MAN!

    Magnificent lesson once again, nothing but love and respect ✊ my cover set list totally 💯 % went up after subscribing to your Chanel, I apologize for not becoming a member, funds have been pretty tight these last few years, but it feels good picking up the guitar 🎸 and actually playing songs that feel great playing.

    Hi Ryan! The hook brings you back, I ain't telling you no lie! I think you will like this story about a really cool concert I saw in Toronto on a beautiful sunny day. Blues Traveler opened for Pearl Jam, then Soundgarden and the closer was Neil Young. It was great time for music back in the day! Oh the memories! I like Metallica's Tuesday's Gone version with John Popper it rocks! Cool lesson Ryan!

    Very cool! Especially since it turns out I can actually do it the hard (cool) way. But the easy way is really cool too if you don’t have your bar chord wings yet. Great song!

    Son of a Beach Boy!! I've been playing guitar for 20 years, and I love moving open chords up where you don't usually find them, so I'm shocked and disappointed in myself that not once in my entire guitaring career did I think of playing a C#7 with the open B7 shape...
    How the hell did I not.... AAAAAARRRRRRRH!
    I'm so mad right now!!
    I mean, I am sure that I've done it, but not once did I think "Oh, that's actually just a straight C#7". I'm fairly sure I've even moved it up further to play a E7... but not once "This works as a C#7"...
    Grrr Arrg
    Anyway, awesome video.

    • @RyanLendt
      @RyanLendt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      C7 shape works that way too :)

    • @tankosaurus
      @tankosaurus 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RyanLendt See, that one I've known about since maybe my 2nd, 3rd year of playing. I even like moving the C Major (with the G on the high string) shape around which makes for a nice Eb, F9 and G. You'd think the B7 would be obvious 🤦‍♂️

  • @eldigitom9680

    Enlightening, those pinky stretches quite acrobatic but I find not so impossible. A very compelling rhythm (*edit--chord sequence), thx for the show-how🙂

    I once saw Blues Traveler and was stoked when they played this. I then waited intently the rest of the concert for them to play “All For You” which they never played bc apparently it is written and performed by Sister Hazel, a fact I did not know at the time.
    I was young and dumb

    Good lesson. Thanks. I don’t request many songs but it’s not often one comes along which is almost attainable yet just out of reach: HERE IS NO WHY - Smashing Pumpkins. There’s tab online but it’s just tough to grasp the transitions. Could be a reason to break out the muffuletta sandwich.

      I've been in a mood for tabbing (I find it strangely meditative) out wonkily weird Soundgarden songs lately, so if you find yourself wanting to teach wonkily weird Soundgarden songs in the near, near-near or near-near-near future, and should you likewise fancy doing the double-diarrhea-field-super-secret-tabbed-by-R-taught-by-R thing, well then you know where to find me :)
