I'm so glad this guy is teaching me instead of my professor. Can I send him my tuition instead?
😂😂😂😂
for a mesh network the following formula is applicable:
If N is the no of nodes then:
No. of ports per device is = (N-1)
No. of ports in whole network= N*(N-1)
No. of cables in the whole network is= (N*(N-1))/2
nice
This is very clear and well understood. Thank you sir

Sir,It is really confusing that you have said that every host in a LAN network has an ip address then what is the use of MAC address then?although MAC address is used in switches.....
yes. every host or device on a LAN has a unique IP address. how can it be identified otherwise?
IP addresses are used for routers and MAC addresses are used for switches. But every host will need both an IP address and a MAC address. When the packet reaches the switch, it has within it a destination IP address. The destination IP address is the address of the device that it's trying to reach. When it reaches the switch, the packet becomes a frame and it has within it a source MAC address and a destination MAC address that tells the frame out of which port to go on the switch.
When PC communicate in same lan mac is needed. For different network ipis required
Well Explained
very very helpful Sir...
you said, that every node is identified by its IP Adress. So a Hub or a Switch as well?
