    Portrait photography on a superzoom lens? It's more likely than you think. I bought the cheapest super zoom lens on amazon and used it for some super telephoto portrait photography.
    Comparing this cheap lens to a pro portrait photography lens, the canon 85mm
    What are your thoughts on this lens? Honestly, I'm quite surprised!

    to have a bird perch on your finger and get photos of it is one of the coolest things you can do with a 100mm or less

    I do portraits with my jintu lens all the time. Its great fun. I do macro too and action. The manual part is not much of a stretch because most of my 50 years experience has been with manual lenses. I've only been doing digital since 08. There has been lots to learn but its fun. Great video

    I purchased this lens and a year later when I took it apart I put a thin matt black wrap on the inner surface where there was a alot of shiny surfaces and now my photos are coming out nice and sharper than ever feels like a different lens to be honest it's definitely worth the purchase

      @Athiril I don't have a TH-cam channel but if you still have the lens and you know how to take it apart shine a flashlight down the inner tube and you will see the light reflection all you have to do is get a Matte wrap and cover up those surfaces then take some test pictures and test if the lens can zoom in and out without getting damaged it was a process of trial and error for me I had to take the lens apart a few times to adjust where the wrap was in the way before it was fully functional

      @braddelaney8628 Hey, when you took the lens apart did it involve removing screws and the metal housing of the lens or did you just unscrew the filter ring and remove the front element? I wonder if I could just repaint the inner housing with flat black paint. I also imagine that using a lens hood would also resolve the issue.

      @braddelaney8628 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @princeharbinger I used a v type lens removal tool on the first 2 big lens elements and where the lens focal length locks you can unscrew that and with some turning you can remove that as well giving you access to the rest of the inside of the lens I only put the wrap on the areas behind the first 2 lenses and it made a big difference i hope this helps

    I have shot at these lakes with cheap tell the photos and you did a fantastic job. It would never have occurred to me to photograph people. Most people cannot afford or will not spend $500 to 15,000 on a lens

    I'd recommend to get a tamron 18-300mm, even if it costs much more you could always pay the lens monthly with a plan and the results are much much better

    Hi Fynn, great job, very professional, I admire the way you handle the camera and your creativity, thank you for that! Question: I have EOS R with 3 lenses including a cheap Super Zoom lens, so my problem is that when I install Super Zoom, I can not take pictures or video, I notice the adaptor didn't have the contact circuits so can the camera read and act according to how you perform on it. There is a special adaptor for this? I really appreciate your answer, thanks.

      You need to turn on the shoot without lens setting in the menu. The camera needs to be in a creative mode such as AV or M

    You can probably get better results with a cropped sensor camera and not use the teleconverter. This lens is ridiculous for someone else besides you to bird hunt with and tell you the direction where the bird is so you can turn your heavy duty 600mm real lens to take real sharp photos.

    hi i got a 420-800mm lens but when i attach it to my canon eos 700d i get error message, how did and what adapters did you use, need help please buddy

    • @fynnbadgley
      @fynnbadgley  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Martin, I had this same issue when using my lens as well. The issue is that it doesn't have the electrical contacts to connect to the camera body (any adapted film lens will have this issue too.) The best way to solve this is to go Menu -> Custom function settings -> Other -> Release shutter without lens - then enable that setting and that will allow your camera to take a photo even when it thinks there's no lens attached (whether or not one is)
      Hope this helps!

    How can I fix mine which is saying no lense attached even I have attached the lense nikon d5200

    • @1b2m
      @1b2m ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can't fix it, but maybe you can work around it. At that price point, those lenses don't have an electronic connection to the camera, they're just dumb clumps of metal and glass. If you connect a lens like this, your camera won't "understand" that a lens is actually mounted, so it will not take pictures. You'll need to explicitly instruct your camera to take pictures without a lens mounted, then you can take pictures with one of these clumps of metal and glass.
      Google "release without lens nikon" and you should find a solution.

    The reason for this lens isn’t for photos but more for monitoring, when people need long range site and a cheap HDMI feed.

    • @charlesreid9337

      Do you have obviously never shot wildlife or telephoto. The shake was normal and usually you use an extremely heavy tripod add remote shutter and even then the slightest wind will give you blurry pictures. 800 mm is extreme 1600 is it the same even professional wildlife photographers rarely go above 800 to 1000
