- This is another Seiko I've had my eye on since it was released, but it wasn't until I was able to experience one "in the metal" at a local dealer that I decided to pull the trigger. Unique design, extremely versatile watch.

Thanks for your two videos on this watch they were both very helpful. This watch is beautiful and the bracelet is quite good and not the pin and collar type like found on the Speedtimer. Comparing to the Speedtimer which I also had this watch wears smaller which I like a lot. I think the fact the end links on this bracelet are female compared to male ones on the Speedtimer make a big difference. The Alpinist is very well built and its look is classic. I actually like the cyclops date and I normally prefer watches without the date complication - it works really well on this dial.
the shark tooth alpinist! I have a deep lake laurel alpinist but I keep wanting to get this one as well...
And I've had my eye on your model! That's a beautiful watch. But yes, I've wanted to get the shark tooth version since it came out, and I have not been disappointed. It really does look better in real life and photos and video don't do it justice.
Awesome video man! Thanks!!
I see you are also in Canada, just curious were you charged any import fees from Sakura Watches?
How is the accuracy of that watch until now?
The is the one
Does it wear smaller than the SSC813?
Very similar. Technically this is 1/2 mm larger case size, but their feel on the wrist is nearly identical, in my opinion.
Wait, what is different from SPB117?
As far as I know, nothing! The SBDC just signifies the JDM model.
What is your wrist size?
About 6.75 inches
You think it will look good on 6.25 inches wrist? Currently wearing SNXS79, and the SNXS79 is a perfect fit at 43mm lug-to-lug, so I'm not sure whether the extra 3mm of the Alpinist would still fit my wrist.
I'd like to upgrade and I'm really torn apart between the Seitona and the Alpinist. Since you have both what are your thoughts? I could only afford one
I think you'll be okay size wise with either one, they both wear really well and hug the wrist nicely. Tough call, they're both great. It really depends what situations you'll be wearing the watch in. The alpinist can be dressy and sporty and so it's a perfect all arounder. But if you don't need anything for an office, then the Speedtimer is great too. There's no won't answer
