19:22 If you look at the camera angle, it looks like Frank Sanders got the first down. At Legion Field, Keith Jackson and Bob Griese occupied a booth where they were viewing the play from the other side of the 40. That's why Jackson said so quickly that Sanders didn't make the first down. My father and I were standing on the ramp headed to the upper deck on the press box side, with the same angle Jackson had. I had binoculars at the game and thought that Sanders got a good spot. From the other angle, it did not appear that Sanders crossed the 40.
This was really a well played Iron Bowl and does not get the recognition that it deserves. Both Bama and Auburn were undefeated, but Auburn was on probation so the game did not decide the West. Plus Nebraska and Penn State had firm holds on #1 and #2 so Bama had no chance at the National Championship, unlike the situations in 1971 and 2013.

Sherman Williams is one of the best backs Bama has ever had.

I really do miss these Legion Field games sometimes, but I'm glad they've made Bryant-Denny nicer and larger.

Hard to believe that Alabama would lose the next week to Florida in the SEC Championship because if they had won, they might be having shot at votes for the National Championship.

DeAngelo Stevens I believe Bowden still has the highest winning percentage of former Auburn Coaches.

Barker was an INT thowing machine, he couldn't play for Saban, he wouldn't of even had an offer threw an INT on the 5yd line?

Jay Sweeton Yeah but he was 35-2-1 in his career at Alabama. Granted Alabama had great defenses during the Stallings era.

Sure, Legion Field was a blast. I loved having to pay $10.00 for public parking that should of been free. Or how about $20 to park in a small ass yard only to come back and find you car blocked in 5 cars deep. How about the bathrooms? I miss pissing in a trough like a bunch of animals. I felt so safe after the ballgame walking to your car. Bama fans cried and raised hell when the game was moved. Their argument was laughable. The game in Birmingham was never a neutral site for Auburn. Ray Perkins said, “the game will never be in Auburn”. He was wrong and so was the media.
