I’ve been watching TONS of style videos for months now, and al lot of them recommend pencil skirts for rectangle shape, but they have always looked terrible on me, and I couldn’t understand it. 🤔(I’m 5ft 2.5” btw and a very slim size 8, with practically no bust 🥴). So when you said avoid anything with straight lines, I knew I was onto a good thing. 🤗 I’m very much looking forward to watching more of your videos, and as a visual learner I really do appreciate the images you have to show us. They’re great!
I just have to disagree with the ''outfit sandwich'' concept. I'm petite with short legs and a long torso. Wearing the same color from foot to waist (albeit varying in textures quite often) gives me the illusion of a longer leg. It's a must for me (one of my personal style elements). If I used the sandwich rule, I'd be cut into three quadrants, obviously a leg shortener. It just doesn't make sense to me.
If you watch my video on dressing as a petite, you will know that I say to choose shoes in the same colour. As an individual, you must decide what your biggest struggle is and address that first. Thanks for watching.
