…Elvis was the FIRST and BEST! ...No singer was and is as famous as Elvis and has been for almost 70 years!! He has everything a singer needs: VOICE, GOOD LOOKS, SEXY, HUMOR... and above all an incredible CHARISMA!! ... He is still unsurpassed today and a singer for eternity!! ✨💎✨🕺🏻🕯 Thank you
Yep you are remembering the story quite well and describing it perfectly. This is just a perfect example of how he could interact with the audience and interact with his band and his backing vocalists, and he looks like he's having a ball. And he's doing all these athletically challenging things and just having a workout basically, and yet he's still somehow singing beautifully over it live, and his band of course as always is so good and the backing vocalists. He hand-picked everybody and he arranged the material. And it's just something else to see him up there conducting to his band and drummer Ronnie Tutt with his body, egging him on to go faster and then Ronnie would play even faster and make Elvis have to go faster, and Elvis was up there just laughing his ass off looking back at him.
Love your reaction, brother. If you haven't reacted to it yet, check out Bridge Over Troubled Water from this exact same show, live in Vegas 1970. There is just something so moving about it and I've seen behind the scenes rehearsal footage of it where Elvis is arranging it in practice as they go, and just collaborating with everybody and they work hard but they're also always having a good time and pranking each other like you saw on the stage there. Anyway his whole TCB band and the backing vocalist groups really come together on this, and it's such a powerful performance and he knocks it out of the park. It's also a very uplifting feeling.
Hi JB, Happy New Year 🎊 🎉 Glad to see you back doing Elvis !!! ❤ Here are 2 of my Favorite Gospel songs By: Elvis Presley "Take My Hand Precious Lord " Recorded in 1957, Elvis was 22 (Beautiful) Gospel with Slideshow th-cam.com/video/ThsYX4RBtbw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aA9WgfkGhHxiQdeu Elvis Presley "YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE" From his Gospel Album "How Great Thou Art" (Official Audio) th-cam.com/video/7NurYDwKZ9g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YoFQdQdgh29ie_5m
The most charismatic singer entertainer and humanitarian ever. No one today can match his brilliance !! No auto tunes back then and if there was, he wouldn't need it !!
HISTORY of this SONG: Written by Mark James in '68 it is based on one night when James was fooling around on his guitar & came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James' wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of." One of the main differences between music now & music "back then" is that singers HAD to have good voices & be talented -- there was no such thing as auto-tune then -- they HAD to be good. Also, we are missing all the great musical instruments that made up a performers band -- the sax, the strings, the horns, piano, etc. What a shame.
Sorry.. I'm already melting just looking at him grin in the first bars of the song... The man was gorgeous.. the cheekbones the beautiful blue eyes the VOICE... he's been gone for over 45 yrs but is still amazing...Just an amazing singer and ENTERTAINER. Kinda wish I had been old enough to be a groupie lol
Elvis was not sent to the Army. He was drafted and he served. A lot of entertainers went to Canada, changed their name to keep from doing their military duty. That's one reason he is the greatest,
Also celebrities often ended up in the entertainment section of the army and continue to do what they are good at. Elvis ended up in a tank battalion. I saw an interview where he said the other soldiers watched him for a while, but totally accepted him when they realized he was doing what they were doing, guard duty, the works. Two years is a long time to take a sabbatical from performing, but it worked for him.
I can’t believe Austin Butler didn’t get an Academy award for best actor playing Elvis. And I can’t believe that movie didn’t get best picture unbelievable. Elvis is still bigger these days even bigger. It’s a shame. He died so young I was 13 when he passed away. I am 60 years old now, and I say Elvis Presley was the most handsome gorgeous man that ever walk this earth. So please, let’s never forget Elvis Presley.
Please watch community black eccept Elvis, he dedicated the song..lf l Can Dream to MLK n R Kennedy after assassination, thank for smiling rections✌️🙏🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Wow! What a program! To your point on just how big Elvis was (and is); no less than John Lennon said his inspiration to get into music came from watching the really good Elvis movies of the '50's. "That looks like a good job" remarked Lennon in a 1974 interview, and also remarked no Elvis no Beatles. All of the Beatles were in awe of Elvis. You can see it on the Beatles Anthology when George Harrison recalls for Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr his meeting Elvis backstage. George said he felt he was shaking the hand of a giant.
I have missed you❤ THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS❤️ Elvis inspires you to be a better human being❤️ You bring me and other Elvisfans a lot of Joy and Love❤️ Welcome to the Elvisfamily..It is filled with LOVE and FUN❤️😉
At 1:26 of these video, he sings under his breath “Shove It Up Your Nose”. It goes, “So if an old friend I know (Shove it up your nose) Stops by the to say hello/Would I still see suspicion in your eyes?” None of the reactors notice this. Elvis loved to change lyrics to make them funnier. Another example is when he sins “Are you Lonesome tonight” on his Live album he changes “Do you stare at your parlor and picture me there” to “Do you gaze at your Bald Head and Wish You Had Hair?”.
Happy new year ! hey man, i know you get down sometimes, so i got the perfect song to put a smile on you. it would be cool to see you react to Angels by Robbie Williams live at Knebworth 2003. keep smiling man.

You are spot on about changing his lyrics. And like you said, you know right away if they know the song ..👏👏
It's odd that many people don't notice this because it is very obvious -- he said it loudly & clearly enough for everyone to hear
