- This is how to send your Premiere Pro timeline to DaVinci Resolve for color grading.
For this we are going to export an XML file - Extensible Markup Language
To do this, simply go up to File - Export - Final Cut Pro XML
Don't worry that it says Final Cut Pro!
You can name and choose where to save your XML
Once you've opened up DaVinci Resolve, you can go straight to the edit page.
From here, all you need to do is right click on the media pool and selct Timeline - Import - XML
Find and open the XML you just created
Make sure the correct timeline is selected and that automatically set project settings and import source clips are checked
Then just click ok
You should now have your Premiere edit inside of Resolve.

💀

Quick and to the point!
Amazing video, thank you!
Thanks Sir For This Great knowledge
YOURE the best
Thanks for this quick short! Will nested sequences translate over to DaVinci Resolve? I know this is a problem when bringing over to FCPX
absolute hero!
Thank you very much !!!
thankyou daniel❤️
Thank you!
😮 THANK YOU
That did not work for me. The XML file was imported into DaVinci and then had media offline. When I tried to relink them nothing seemed to work.
did you find a fix?
I know it's a stupid question, but if I were to send the XML to somebody else that works on a different computer, do they need to have all the original sources, i.e. all the original video files in order to work on the XML file now imported in DaVinci? Or do the videos in the timeline get permanently locked?
thanks bro
Thanks
If I would have captions in my Pr pro time line, would it take them to DaVinci resolve too?
What if my clips arent being found from premiere?
you ever found a fix for this?
How does the media transfer if you're working between a desktop and a laptop? Surely the xml doesn't contain all the media file information?
'Please check FCP translation results report" this popup is occurring
Then Never send another PENNY to ADOBE cause DaVinci is Free Baby.
You save my life 🥹❤️
