I personally think they "optimal" setup with the macro frame (of any kind: aluminum, polymer, etc) is with the XL slide and barrel, the compensated slide doesn't give enough compensation to account for the lost velocity (that being said, I carry HST's so more velocity="mo betta") The XL slide and barrel on the macro frame are the perfect combination to me, the pistol is big enough to do all the "duty pistol" things while still being "carry pistol" small.

Question: I had an Icarus Precision grip module for my standard P365 but could not lower the take down switch to field strip the gun for cleaning. My gunsmith couldn’t take it down either, but after I told him to cut it off if necessary, he finally got it to release and I returned it to Icarus for a refund (Icarus Customer Service was awesome, but they had no idea what was wrong either). I now have a P365 X Macro Comp, and would dearly love to try Icarus again because I did love the feel and comfort when shooting the previous one. My question, did you have any troubles with the FCU controls, or have you heard of others with problems, when using the Icarus Grip Module?

You said in the dimensions part that it's 1.25 inches wide. The standard Macro is 1.1 inches wide. Do you know if that increase is because of the magwell? Or is the grip really that much thicker than the stock grip?
Have you ever noticed any slop in the icarus module and the fcu? I've sent maybe 1000 rounds with the icarus and now just noticed the slightest bit of wiggle with no mag. Pretty sure it doesn't really effect anything other than my selective ocd but any ideas how to stop the wiggle? Seems like the pin hole in the module is too loose.🤔
The polymer grip from SIG actually has replaceable palm swells, so you can make it pretty small if that's what you like. I would absolutely love this grip if it didn't have the "ninjafied" magwell, there's already a really nice internal magwell flare, I don't need anything extra poking out of my gun, but if you're not afraid to monkey with it I'm sure you could knock that outer flare off with a Dremel in about 5 minutes, same with the gas pedals. I don't think they're a bad idea, but it just misses the mark for me and a few of my friends I've spoken to, the main selling point of the Macro over guns like a G17 or 320 is that it's skinny and easy to conceal, why would I want to make that same gun wider again and end up right back in the same boat?
Well the reason why they went from micro to macro is because it shoots better. But adding on the lower makes it shoot even better because the gas peddle and and the weight of it. I'd rather be shooting my best in a urgent case. So It's pretty worth it

If they offered the ace 365 pro with a grip designed for the 17 round mags that would be the absolutely most perfect version in my opinion. The gas pedals help shoot flatter, but so does just having a larger frame to hold on to. I'd argue the larger frame of the macro helps more than the comp'd slide in terms of recoil control. The slide only helps a tiny bit with recoil, it DOES help, there's no debate, but the amount is nowhere close to an actual compensator. But I have a macro frame on my XL slide and it still shoots like a dream so the comp slide is mostly a gimmick (I've shot both arrangements and I'm not claiming the compensated slide doesn't do anything, but the frame 100% helps more than the comp, because I can shoot the non-ported XL slide on a macro frame better than a comped slide on an XL frame. In summary, I'm not claiming the frame design is bad or poorly thought out, it just doesn't add much value for me personally as a carry gun, if I were wanting to turn the P365 into a competition gun then this is exactly what I'd be looking for.

400 is insane. I’m sure they are nice and I really like the idea of the thumb ledge. But for me the 65 dollar Wilson combat grip takes the cake

You just pop out one pin, remove the entire firing unit and drop it in the icarus frame, replace the pin. Takes 5-10 minutes. Easy switch.
