This video was amazing! Mitchell Levy is such a fantastic speaker. I really loved how he emphasized the importance of being vulnerable, authentic, and having integrity to build trust with your audience. His insights on social media and thought leadership are so on point. I’m definitely going to take his advice to heart and work on improving my own online presence. Thanks for sharing this inspiring talk, TEDx Talks!
Mitchell Levy is a genius! I've had him on my podcast 3 times over the last decade. Notice ah-ha moments! Be authentic and vulnerable. Listen actively. Know your why. Enjoy what you do. All helpful messages.
Thrilled to have Mitchell Levy as my guest tomorrow evening on Madame Perry's Salon. Levy is brilliant, and sincerely interested in helping us all to be heard as thought leaders in our fields.
If only more organizations would embrace trust and caring as part of their culture, we would live in a better world. I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation. Well done!
In my case, you are preaching to the choir so It’s always nice to find a like mind. But there was a quote I heard from one of the Parkland students that Inthought was quite brilliant and paraphrased this entire talk: Treat people like you already know them. That was my basic philosophy when I was starting out as a journalist and made it difficult for my career to advance. Today, however, it seems the world has finally caught up to you and me, Mitch
Play is much more fun! I love your addition of FUN to Know, Like, and Trust.... Especially when dealing with topics as varied as money, racism, and poor health that can be heavily charged with shame and negative emotion already. While fun does not lessen the importance of the topic in any way, it can add some relief, which makes it easier to move forward. Well played Mitchell!
Great ideas to ponder, Mitchell! Thanks for sharing. Yes, why didn't Blockbuster create NetFlix? . . . and also, Why didn't Marriot create AirBnB? Why didn't taxi companies create Uber? Why didn't record companies create iTunes? Why did Motorola leave it up to Nokia to create the first digital cell phone? And why didn't Nokia create the Personal Digital Assistant like Palm did? And why didn't Palm create the smart phone??!! I know why. It takes more than listening, but listening to customers would be a great start. In all of those companies there were people begging the so-called leaders to make these changes, but . . .
Who's missing out on what you have to offer them? Mitchell provides some food for thought on the importance of not only your thought leadership but how to be seen, heard and more importantly felt.
A satirical video demonstrating the vagueness of some of these Ted talks led me to this video. Has those wannabe cult leader vibes despite his weak articulation
