I saw IU in London a few weeks ago and it was probably the best thing I’ve ever experienced live; it was so theatrical and unique and she was perfect! It’s hard to put it into words just how good she was but you’ll have an amazing time, it was so magical :)
You may want to check this songs before the concert because are on the setlist: Jamjam, ahpuh, bbibbi (MV), obliviate, i stan you (live video), habana (live video), meaning of you, throught the nigh (MV), friday (MV), knees. There is a official video for the ones in brackets on her channel, the other ones are bsides.
The documentary is pretty good to understand IU's journey, I also recommend you to watch her episode on Suga's Suchwita show (ep.24) where she talk abou her career and the way she does concerts.
Thanks for another IU reaction. BTS Suga said literally "not just Kpop, but the whole Korean music industry can not be explained without mentioning IU, that's a fact". You won't probably hear "good day" unless it wins the fans and they ask IU during encore. She stated after the golden hour concert (when she sang good day) that "Pallete" and "Good day" would be retired form the set list of concerts from that point. If you know the lyrics of good day is basically a teenage girl with a crush on an older guy hence Oppa! Now there are no many Oppas since she's now Korea's national eonni (big sister). If you don't know IU's discography (over 180, over 70 self composed) you'll think you will be missing something, not at all, basically every single IU song is good, most are amazing and around 15 to 20 are all time hits. So if you want "good day" you need to lobby the fans into asking for it but if you don't succeed you'll see IU is the Fairy Queen. Edit. I forgot, that tripple high are e5, f5 and f#5 If you wants mosts, I'll say after checking your list my sea th-cam.com/video/nn1pbxe8bAI/w-d-xo.html the MMA 2017 closing th-cam.com/video/wKzhZkeBirs/w-d-xo.html and this gem th-cam.com/video/Xco5vbBmF5c/w-d-xo.html none will be blocked if you want to react to them here.
She is not an idol. I am a solo singer. Solo singers focus a little more on singing skills. As you probably already know, IU's influence is huge. There is symbolism. There are many singers whose singing skills are better than her. However, there are only a very few singers in Korea who have had a career as successful as hers. To put it in one word, she simply has the power to attract people. She's just nice to look at. I love hearing her talk. You can only become a top player if you have that kind of charm. She has a charm that captivates people. Having a lot of fans isn't something you can get just by singing well. Fans are people who are fascinated.
I'll be in Oakland with my wife for the show. We got tickets the moment they dropped and it was still hard to get them as it was selling super fast. Doubt we'll see each other but would be cool to run into you in person if we do. Best of luck getting the ticket! -Steven
both songs were composed by Minsu Lee and the lyricist was Ina Kim, and one of the most recent songs these two worked on was Billlie's Ring X Ring... 💀 love all of these songs tho
Jung Jae Hyung is the guy playing all the instruments....most international kpop fans would know him for popping up here and there for mamamoo, this video, as well as being part of the Refund Sisters project. His biggest entertainment gig was being the waiting room MC/Host for Immortal Songs. He's an interesting celebrity as traditionally he's a classically trained musician (at Hanyang School of Music as well as École Normale de Musique de Paris) who focused on composition and piano (but as you can see can play a variety of instruments), has written a lot of movie and drama scores, had much more jazz/ballad based albums. He's sort of part of this cadre of musician's musicians in Korea (including Hyori's husband, yu hee yeol, etc) and part of the Yu Jae Suk "crew" who are repped by Antenna Music.
There is a singer who covered this in Immortal Songs, Park Minhye (from Big Mama). She did a 5 octave version of the high note ✨ if you're curious, you can just search "Good Day Immortal Songs" and it'll come up haha
There is a BACK STORY to end ALL back stories to this and a few other videos - she connected songs over 9 years with secret links... IU UNIVERSE Explained by a Korean [above the time, Blueming, You & I] th-cam.com/video/R_vGEZRpHH4/w-d-xo.html As long as you've seen the Winning MVs you can just enjoy the show. And yes it is a life altering experience seeing her in reality - however far from the stage you are sat. You might need a lightstick (links to the EDAM app you'll then download to your phone etc) but that's available at the show.

I envy u, you are so lucky 🥹🥹🥹
You are so lucky!! She sounds so good now too after all her creativity has come into fruition since 2010's Good Day and You & I era. I wanna see!

I'm going to see her next week, finally. ❤
Good Day was a huge huge song. Its probably in top 10 all time legendary Kpop songs

In fact, her acting skills are so great that she is able to appear as a lead in various K-dramas and movies.
Actor in Good Day MV is Jung Jae-hyung. He was an MC on Immortal Songs for a long time. I first saw him there when Mamamoo performed.
And he did reprise as a conductor and sax player in Lilac ten years later
You and I live is on another level!!!🤩🤩🤩

fun fact....the guy wrote these 2 songs is the main songwriter for Mystic Story (the company that created Billlie)
Thank you

Poor Paul, always getting attacked by feet 😔20:08
like n° 10
I don't really care about IU but I love Good Day mainly because of her highnote like I'm obsessed with "Aigoo~ hana dul ONLY MY DREAAAAMMMMMMM"
Wasn’t this song and her three stage note that won her nickname as the”nations little sister”?
