I've been wanting to try to paint this one with the northern lights and now that we know about metallic watercolors, I think I will try this rock using those paints for the sky. Fingers crossed that it looks good.
I Fairly new here can you say that I’ve so been enjoying painting rocks and watching you work. Did you explain everything very thoroughly appreciate that. I owned my own nail salon for 15 years and always enjoying painting now I just hit 60 and I’m retired so I’m looking for something to continue to keep me in gods grace and calm!!!
I really appreciate that you explain WHY you do something the way you do it. For us newbies it helps us learn and our paintings will turn out a bit better. Thanks so much too for showing us the product bottles so we know what to look for when we go shopping.
Absolutely love love love what you do. Your rocks are so pretty and when you resin them they're absolutely marvelous, please keep up the works of art that you create.

Listening to your tutorials is very calming and inspirational. There are several I can’t listen to as they ramble on like they have no idea what they’re doing.
I love the Northern Lights and I love this rock. Many years ago while living northern Alberta I painted on a 8x10 canvas almost something like this but different trees with lighter blue than the indigo. Now I must do this rock. p.s. This rock is much lovelier than my painting.
I live in southern Ontario (Belleville area) in Trenton. Have been to this area before? Northern Ontario is beautiful, and I've camped in the North. I did live in Sault Ste Marie for a couple years. I only saw the northern lights once, and that's when I was living in Cold Lake Alberta.
That is so awesome!! I have family in and around Bellville and tweed and Madoc. Family in Trenton as well for a little while!! Moving back to Sault Ste Marie very soon!! That's the only place I've been able to see the Northern Lights so far❤️ small world!!!!
Thats awesome! I kinda miss the Sault, and would like to go back and visit sometime. Interesting city. I remember how the pigeons would walk don he sidewalks downtown, like the pedestrians! Lol. Definitely, a small world- Take care hun❤
You are such a wonderful teacher. I’m learning so much from you. Thank You so much for sharing. I was wondering if you would consider doing a dream catcher? I always struggle with the feathers.xx
Absolutely magnificent Rachel! You are a fabulous teacher. Google `northern lights over teepee` images....some amazing images. Thanks so much for sharing your fab work with us.

OMG!!! What are the chance. That's too cool. Serendipity. Your work has got me excited. I've been blocked, I need some inspiration. I do a variety of styles of art, but have been a slump. I love the rocks, where do find them? If you're up for it, we should meet for coffee sometime. Email me nadine56partridge@outlook.com
I am looking for your advice please. I did my own painting of the Northern Lights, it was not bad for my first attempt. I sealed the acrylic paint I used with resin. I think it was Polyester resin I used I cant remember exactly, as I have both Polyester resin and Epoxy resin. I live in Scotland and our climate can be wet all year round, my rock was nice and glass like but after a few rainy days it has clouded over. Can you give me some advice to weather proofing my rocks. Would outdoor varnish work.

Hello, from Heuvelton,N.Y., I'm very close to Canada ❤️
If I wanted to add depth of the lights on the resin, would I need to put more layers of resin to make it look 3 dimensional
