Your gonna want to find a 1500w/1600w models motor and i recommend the etm kit from electro&co. Is this for yourself or a kiddo? Also if you can find a motor electro&co offers a motor aswell that works perfect with their kit!
I got ur guys kit and the battery has a xt60 to charge off same as the charger im under the impression you will give a proper port that can go in the stock chsrging spot
No doubt i see lipos last forever but i cant remember if it was they dont put out as much amps per cell something like that. I know with each different chemistry you gain something and lose somthing else
I'm sure you can fit alot more battery in that back. you just need to build the pack into a polygon shape. Practically 40% of the usable space in that frame is still free I am going to attempt to fit a 72v 40ah battery into mine. If not then i will go down to 35ah.
Yes definitely lots more space to fill but getting a larger battery to slide in and fit is the issue. Im thinking about making a removable bottom that i cant bolt on and off for easy install. It needs it for sure with the qs swap.
@@EmxBrandon wow actually yeah. A removable bottom would be great. I was even thinking maybe two triangle packs you can slide in one at a time and then stack on top of eachother to make a square. But it's all being planned now
@@topelite666 yeah that would be a great idea aswell with the two triangles. The biggest issue with the battery now is i have to really squeeze it in to get it to drop into place. Its already pushing the limits and with my new setup i need more ah and continuous amps if im gonna use the qs165 to even half of its potential. So im planning on dropping the bottom down 3in and also welding the drop down foot peg bar solid and that should get me atleast another layer of cells. Plus if i can go through the bottom i can fill up the upper area without worrying about trying to slide it in from the side.
@@EmxBrandon I feel it man. have you considered LIPOs yet? would be very easy to hit a 200a continuous discharge on some 30c packs. I just hate how damn small and finnicky they are
@@topelite666 honestly im still pretty newb with batterys but from what ive read lipo would be a great option especially appealing how much safer they are. Ill definitely keep them in mind for a battery build when i get the balls to try 😆
Love the charger idea, I’m looking at making my 72v rechargeable through the stock charge port, did you just splice the 3 prong end from the original 48v charger and add it to the 72v charger?
Actually electro and co sent the new charge port with the battery its basically the same as the stock charge port and will screw right into the existing spot where the stock one is 🤘 but you could always splice yours if you need to.
Id say the mototec its gonna be best for offroad and still handle great on road with street tires plus it looks like its cheaper than the burromax 1600 which means more $$$ for upgrades
It's an electro&co 72v 24ah. But they don't make this battery anymore. I'd recommend going through amorge for a inexpensive but still quality battery! Email allen@amorge.com
Really just depends on how you ride, if your just messing around doing wheelies, no full pulls just slow stuff it wont really make too big of a difference. If your using it to mob around town id say its an extra 5 to 7 miles of run time. Just a guess though, not a huge difference but could be the difference in a longer ride!
Okay cool, trying to decide which battery to get. Do you have to get the crf50 plastics for the 24ah to fit? Or will it work with the stock Mototec plastics? Thanks for all the help!
Nah they just recently switched all their batterys to 76v, they no longer sell the one i got. Go with amorge 6x6x8 email them at allen@amorge.com and see what they can make ya!
@austinbottensek9878 yeah definitely check out amorge, they are in china but everyone has one in the us. No one can compete with their quality and price. Youll probably pay around 650 shipped, maybe a little more if you want air shipping to get to you faster!
@@EmxBrandon they emailed back with 72v 24ah 150amp or a 72v 30ah 100amp, both under $500 before shipping, but the question is what do I use to charge a battery like that the original 48v 13ah take 4 plus hours to charge I can wait a full day to charge this bigger battery🤷🏽♂️
@austinbottensek9878 they can upcharge your for a faster charger i believe, you just gotta adapt it to the mototec or just take the cover off when your charge. Regardless they send a 3 amp charger with it.

What are some aftermarket motor options? I don't see any motors that look like they fit in the mounts

What size road tires have you used use
Kenda kd1 100/70-12 and irc nr77 70/100-14

since it was the stock motor did it eventualy die or get fried or no?
Never had any issues with the original motor! Even swapped it into a sx500 and eventually sold it.
How fast does it do with stock battery and electro and co controller
Should say on their website, 35mph
What year is that bike,2021 because in one of your videos you said you don't have hydraulic brakes

Not without a 72v controller, and at that point a brushless motor. You might be able to get away with 48v but no promises it will last.
