what repair doesnt know that the sata connector was torn off the board itself. i would be questioning the quality of the repair shop. 2 great repairs joey.

      2 options for me.
      1. It went in for repair for something else and they broke the SATA port and the owner didn't realise. I have a series x and it has never seen a disk. Never. Had it a while now.
      or
      2. They tried to repair something and broke the port putting it back together and thought they had broke it even more.

You probably won't see this message anyway since your video is 12 hours old at this point, but I figured I'd throw it out there anyway because if you do see it, you might get a kick out of it.
I recently ran into a similar issue as you did on this video. I bought a Switch Lite on eBay for cheap, which was labeled as "Does not turn on. For parts." Beautiful condition, looked like it had never been opened. Perfect, I thought!
Bought it, and when it came in the mail, I gave it a once-over. Screws looked untouched, everything looked in place. I opened it up, and the first thing that greeted me was that the battery connector on the motherboard had been completely torn off the board! That's it. Goneso. It was still attached to the battery itself, but just flapping around since it had been ripped off. So, somebody at some point had opened it up for some unknown reason (it was still the original battery), ripped off the pad, said "oh crap", and listed it on eBay for parts.
10 minutes of work, a new connector later, and it works perfectly! Sometimes you wonder what the heck these systems have gone through.... Oh and of course, I didn't make a video of this system, thinking it was a different problem entirely. D'oh! Missed opportunity.
Regardless, well done on both repairs! Always an enjoyable video.

      Nice!!
Thankfully in my case, none of the pads were ripped or traces torn (again..... HOW!??!). So I'm sure my repair ended up being a lot easier. Now if only I would invest in a hot air station, so I didn't have to do it by hand; that would've made the job so much more enjoyable!

Maybe one day I will learn to repair electronics.

Can someone explain these kids there wasn't any 5V rail, because that was 4,5 witch was the exact half of 9V from the beginning. And both weren't 12V, because housing wasn't always pairing with garage sales, d'you know?! Plus, that's why some of 'em hated racing cars with 24V on board. Namastè.

The thing with repairing consoles for YT videos is that at least you get some revenue from the video which helps negate any loss you might make. I know you need A LOT of views to make decent money but every little helps. The live streams have been great BTW and taking items apart to see what they do helps everyone even if the problem is software. The latest stream with the PS2 is a classic example of this, because of your video, and the mistakes, I'm gonna fix my PS2 that's been sat here for the last 10 years.
