The best Indian chutney I ever made was lemons mixed with Fenugreek, salt, chilli and oil, fermented in my conservatory over months. The taste was absolutely amazing.

Sounds more like atchar that you made. The favourite atchar is mango atchar, but lemon atchar is also great. Best English equivalent for atchar is pickles, though not totally correct.

Hi Hari.. This is the second Christmas that I've made Cranberry and Apple Chutney following your recipe. It's Divine and very popular with my visitors. I just wanted to make a cranberry Chutney last year but with a bit of a kick.. It works so well, so thank you xxx

Wow! I couldn't afford the mangos but have an abundance of warwickshire (yellow) plums in my garden so substitute them. What a winner, you would never know the difference. Spices are everything. Thank you for a great recipe. ❤

Ripeish ones for this not the small green ones used for pickle

I find that the easiest way to dice mango is to cut and slice the way Hari does and then scoop the pieces out with a spoon. This recipe looks delicious.

    • @wajt8966

I saw someone else use palm sugar, which has a similar consistency to honey , I’m sure it’d be delicious!

Hari that's not the way to cut up a fresh mango. Please please you just use a peeler. Don't try and be a clever duck and try and bring ur chappy western ideas into this. Mango us tropical fruit.

  • @Maiasatara
