    He was pretty undertwisted in the front triple full and the quad full. That's probably what they hit him on

    • @kingspamaccount
      @kingspamaccount 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Hai is a affirmation word. It means yes but is also used more broadly as a general acknowledgement. Onegaishimasu is a formal pleasantry. So basically he said something like. "Yes, please and thank you!"

    • @craeus7433
      @craeus7433 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because the dance is what adds the aesthetic to women’s floor routines. Men’s gymnastics is all about grace and power in the skills. Not in the actual construction of the routine.

      It just seemed like a really "off" performance from kenzo. He's usually much better with his landings and I've not seen him struggle to get twisting elements around. It just seemed sloppy (and that's not to say it wasn't still spectacular, just not what he's capable of).

    • @jfeathe1211
      @jfeathe1211 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Kenzo got very lucky with his D-score. If the judges had devalued his front 3/1 to a 5/2 and his back 4/1 to a 7/2, his D-score would have been destroyed since he already did the front 5/2 and back 7/2 in his combination passes.

    Are flexed feet deducted in MAG?

    • @Trenton.D
      @Trenton.D 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There's no explicit deduction but it would fall under "Other aesthetic errors" and as such judges can deduct if they wish to (or not).

  • @theasianpolyglot
    @theasianpolyglot 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    What were the deductions? Yes the execution wasn't his best but it doesn't feel like a 7.866 at all. This is very strange.

    • @gymnastguy328
      @gymnastguy328 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He had quite a few hops, under twists and his tucked triple double landed chest low and feet staggered. Also his front triple and quad were underrotated quite a bit. They can hit him .5 for each

    • @Lana2k6
      @Lana2k6 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would have only been a 0.1 deduction, since the quad is an F-rated skill and 3.5 is an E.

    • @sketchers987
      @sketchers987 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      But then his other tumbling passes would be in trouble, no?

    • @odyseuszkoskiniotis6266
      @odyseuszkoskiniotis6266 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No because he already has that in a routine, and you are not allowed to repeat elements. D-score was fine. When he ended he was walking around on floor (5 steps so 0.5 point deduction), and his legs were crossed on landings and in the air in every single pass. He also took a more than two second break in the corner. So there you have that score. This was early in the season tho, and he is not ready yet, and he didn't care so much as well. I think he won eitherway.

    • @ianmckenna6146
      @ianmckenna6146 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Odyseusz Koskiniotis at the end those steps werent deducted, he had saluted to the judges marking his routine as finished, one you present the judges can’t take extra deductions
