Thank you TR Hamza for your video. I have a 2003 Bugeye and honestly had not done a proper walk around it. Appreciate your video from Melbourne, Australia.
Feels great to know u guys are pashionate about wht you do. Actually its pretty therapeutic watching you guys. I've got scooby 07 Hawkeye and I love it.
You dont need to remove the intake manifold, i did it on my p1.. remove the header tank to the side, air box removal etc lots of lube arm scrapes etc but i slid it through and job done
Might be wrong but I’m pretty sure primer is porous so although it seems to be protecting the metal, unless it’s got top coat on it’s not really protecting anything. You should take the primer back to bare metal before painting I think!
Make sure they check no water has got between the skins in the rear arches this is why the rear arches rust out on a classic and if not done right you will have to repair them every year or so 👍
Hey Hamza, you said in the video that the car had an oil change in Mei, but the oil looks pretty black for an recent oilchange, so the previous owner did not do an ioil change, or het did not put in an new fliter. The main thing with Subaru''s is never save cost on oil, coolant, gearbox and dif oil changes, do them on time, if you drive short distances, then you need to change more often(engine oil). Myself I driving an 2007 STI, and I change the oil every 5000 km. It is better to play safe, and change the oil of your engine, and Always use OEM filters. Ihave my car four years now, and it runs fine, never had any problems. Keep up the nice videos ;:D
Regarding to the front fender there's always a little ajustment with these things you can perform to make it sit a little more neatly. Just loosen the bolts holding the fender in and hold the fender in place how you want it to sit as you retighten those fender bolts. Looking forward to seeing what you'll do with your GC
the top coolant tank over the engine is for bleeding the coolant system, once all the air is out put the cap on and dont take it off, top up the system from the bottle at the front
I only started watching this channel when you was doing the gti mods but it’s easily become my favourite channel. Your contents going strength to strength. Keep it up 👍
Gas filler pipe is probably crusty too. By connecting two plugs under the dash it will diagnose itself and show the faultcodes in morse code with the cel. Curious about the project. I own one too👌🏼👌🏼
Hanza, i live i in ireland and there's NONE of the STi's over here for decent price. I don't really mind aboput condition as long as it's not too bad, it's my dream car since i was a kid. Can you point me in the direction i can pick up a pre 2005 STi in the UK for less than say 3k? please help guys
Just come across ur videos on the subaru. I have one same colour same model and can't wait to watch more of the rebuild. Keep up the good work lads like the way you explain things:)
It's way easier to change a turbo / parts on a older Japanese performance car compared to a VAG car where the turbo's are in the wrong place due to cost cutting. Looks like a good little project.
I was planning on buying one. Saw a few the rusts a common thing and be careful the body is quite thin to repair also check rear diff.Airflow sensors play big part with the idle
Bargain that man! Out of all the cars I owned, nothing I loved the sound of more than the Scooby, probably the most fun car I had too. I want another one now.
Am glad ur coming away from the more expensive cars.. With respect I find channels that shows only those get boring quite easily.. New cars are great and all that, but nothing beats old cars or old projects.. New cars don't come close to the rawness.. Keep the good work up
Wonderful classic car, looks a good one too TR Hamza! 4 new matching tyres are essential on these, and need to be designed for the all-wheel-drive, as opposed to 4wd as they can distort over time. Pirelli and Michelin have both been good on mine.
Cant believe no ones said it but for the diagnostic there are 2 black plugs under the steering column plug them in and put the ignition on and it will show you a code
You can check the check engine codes yourself by jumping a plug under the dash. It will cause the check engine light to flash to reveal the underlying code. Have a google and you should find a walkthrough
Can you say where the previous owner had the rust repair done? Need to have mine undersealed but can’t find anywhere professional near me and Southampton isn’t far
Hello from Lima, Peru. Here we also got the GT version, I own a 00 one with 185km on it. I was wondering if you could post the brand of the jpipe that you bought as a replacement. Thanks!
First USE Winns to clean injectors. Than change spark plugs and measure compression! New oil and coolant. New air and fuel filters. Remove BOV. Make a custom tune! And Subaru will put a smile on your face
You're gonna need to remove the engine to do most of the work. Honestly it will just make it so much easier if you had the engine out. It'll allow you to do things much more thoroughly and properly
maff sensor needs modding to newage.green maff are notorious.engine shit too better to do a rebuild future proof it.once you hit over 300bhp gearbox gna b on edge too.sti intercooler,vf35 turbo, yellows injectors, walbro fuel pump, road map,and last tyres eagle f1 tyres.will b a beast
Hope you folks are enjoying the regular uploads!
TR Hamza loving it bro
How about a Mk6 project or blacked out type r
Too right 👍👌
Alhumdulilah. Good detailed vid. Keep it up inshaAllah
Yeboi
Do a full detail on the car before you start modding it
Up vote this comment if I should do a dedicated detailing/cleaning video
@@TRHamza would you consider any exposed carbon parts?
That would be a great video for us detailing guys
What i like about you is that you come across as a nice genuine mature guy, no overreactions no silly acting.. Keep up the great work :)
and his name is... JAN CIIIINNAAAAAA
TR HAMZA - one of the only few youtubers to actually provide content he promises on. 👍🏼
Gotta be done 👍🏼
For the money this looks absolutely solid
That's what i was thinking

Yes Bro smashed it with the heavy content!
I'm liking the setup man. You can see you made an effort to keep it all clean and tidy and all organised, ocd like me haha. Keep it up bro
Haha yes I love keeping everything organised 👌🏼
Thank you TR Hamza for your video. I have a 2003 Bugeye and honestly had not done a proper walk around it. Appreciate your video from Melbourne, Australia.
Best car channel in a while. Proper knowledgeable with deep explanations of what’s what, what’s wrong and what’s good. Love the content bro
Feels great to know u guys are pashionate about wht you do. Actually its pretty therapeutic watching you guys. I've got scooby 07 Hawkeye and I love it.
One of all time favorite cars, we didn't get many GC8's in South Africa. looking forward to seeing it being fully restored.
You dont need to remove the intake manifold, i did it on my p1.. remove the header tank to the side, air box removal etc lots of lube arm scrapes etc but i slid it through and job done
1750 POUNDS ARE YOU FUCKING ME you lucky bastard i love it
Might be wrong but I’m pretty sure primer is porous so although it seems to be protecting the metal, unless it’s got top coat on it’s not really protecting anything. You should take the primer back to bare metal before painting I think!
I’m not really a bodyshop guy just going off what the previous owner told me. Will get it inspected and done properly when I get it sprayed!
Make sure they check no water has got between the skins in the rear arches this is why the rear arches rust out on a classic and if not done right you will have to repair them every year or so 👍
Yep primer is porous 👍

Yes bro, rolling out the videos!
🙌🏼🙌🏼

that is one badass subaru
6:55 😂😂 funny reaction Hamza
you seem like a cool and humble dude
subbed bro :D
Gas filler pipe is probably crusty too. By connecting two plugs under the dash it will diagnose itself and show the faultcodes in morse code with the cel. Curious about the project. I own one too👌🏼👌🏼
Really enjoyed this video! I have a 2.5RS and been restoring it for the past year.
Loving your garden. All that space.
AWD + Mismatched tyres is a big no no
I quite don't like mismatched tyres, like on my dad's 2013 Citroën Dispatch. They make me feel like it's just a 100% extremely big NO NO NO.
One of the best TH-camrs about and that's a fact!
Don’t forget to check gearbox oil. There’s another small dipstick under the intercooler.
No messing around talking for months about getting things done, it’s why people like me watch you 👍🏻
the bottom looks like it's just surface rust. You don't need to replace it. Just clean it off and spray paint the parts to protect
nice work all the way from Melbourne down under!!!
Just come across ur videos on the subaru. I have one same colour same model and can't wait to watch more of the rebuild. Keep up the good work lads like the way you explain things:)
Can’t wait till the cars been inspected and he’s able to bring it for a test drive down a country lane to hear the inner beast roar 🚙💥💥
Nice project mate you could use some rust converter acid stuff paint it on will kill it and turn it black won’t come back just a thought 👍
So clean

Love how you got the jack out but didn't Jack it up.. 😂😂😂 Looking forward to seeing the project mate! 👌👍
Bargain that man! Out of all the cars I owned, nothing I loved the sound of more than the Scooby, probably the most fun car I had too. I want another one now.
It's a gr8 base to start from, seems solid enough, can't wait to see the end result.👍🏻
Am glad ur coming away from the more expensive cars.. With respect I find channels that shows only those get boring quite easily.. New cars are great and all that, but nothing beats old cars or old projects.. New cars don't come close to the rawness.. Keep the good work up

Man said hopefully the check engine light pops up😂
Loving it! Keep the Impreza videos coming. Good job mate.
So hyped for this build!
Even without the light on the system has probably stored codes, hopefully just one!
You knew to check the inner wings lol, new to Subaru’s indeed.
It’s going to be a corker this you bought well! Future classic for sure.
I forgot how much he brought the car for 🤣
Good job I kept saying it 😂
the boxer sound is actually from the way the exhaust is designed.
Unequal length headers to be specific
Cant believe no ones said it but for the diagnostic there are 2 black plugs under the steering column plug them in and put the ignition on and it will show you a code
It's first time I'm watching one of your videos, but props to you mate. Beautiful car, I've got the same.
When you finished want to swap it for a?2018 qashqai cat s just has a bit if paintwork issues ?? :)
You can check the check engine codes yourself by jumping a plug under the dash. It will cause the check engine light to flash to reveal the underlying code. Have a google and you should find a walkthrough
Looks like a good example 👌
Does seem all good 👌🏼 Hope it stays that way!
Honestly can’t wait for the upcoming videos
Can't wait too see what you do with this
Keep em coming B enjoying the vids cant wait to see end result G ;)
Proper petrolhead videos - love it.
Always wanted that shape Subaru I really like them. Seems like a good car for the price! Might have a look for one myself.
Your vids are really inspiring, keep it up buddy
Love vid but should palled the boot seal up to see the rust there so bad for it as water leaks in from the boot
good video plenty of useful info I think all car guys should have a project car.
You want to look where the suspension sits up in the top of the arch that’s where they really rust!
Can you say where the previous owner had the rust repair done? Need to have mine undersealed but can’t find anywhere professional near me and Southampton isn’t far
keep these coming loving the scooby content bruv
Good luck with your car! 😀👍
Superb content as always 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 looking forward to upcoming progress 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I had the same problem with the engine light! It was over boost but mine needed headgaskets too!
Pretty good nick for such an old car
Hello from Lima, Peru. Here we also got the GT version, I own a 00 one with 185km on it. I was wondering if you could post the brand of the jpipe that you bought as a replacement. Thanks!
Loving the projects💯
First USE Winns to clean injectors. Than change spark plugs and measure compression! New oil and coolant. New air and fuel filters. Remove BOV. Make a custom tune! And Subaru will put a smile on your face
I really like the car and can't wait to see how it turns out
Nice car for restoration...🙂👍
the wierdest thing is I had a legacy back in 2012 with that same stereo, that made that beeping i forgot about it lol until now.
Be prepared to set aside 3-4 hours to get that turbo inlet hose on haha can be a pain to install
You're gonna need to remove the engine to do most of the work.
Honestly it will just make it so much easier if you had the engine out. It'll allow you to do things much more thoroughly and properly
Clean the MAF sensor with contact cleaner it might be triggering the intermittent check engine light
I've been waiting for this 👍
You got a bargin, congrats mate.
Bright button oddly controls the brightness of the lights behind the odometer and clock, not the whole dash.
Mate your lucky here in the USA the gc8 is rare and hard to come by.
What's a good tyre in your opinion?
Pretty sure that engine is a v5/6 ej207 going by the coilpack off centre of manifold...
That’s a nicer thumbnail than what it was before😂
The bright switch is for the digital clock on the dash that’s it
Crazy I know
Good luck changing the turbo inlet pipe.
Hey bro if your after cheap parts search the New Zealand subaru online stores theyl be cheap as biscuits for yoy
Repping the old Toyota Corolla - good video hamza 👍🏽

Reckon you should do a full detail, maintenance, service etc before you start modding.
It looks very good for a 20 year old car, it will look awesome when it’s finished!!.
Tr hamza: I spent 750 pounds on this Subaru
Me: BRUH WTF WE BOTH LIVE IN UK AND I FIND THEM FOR LIKE 5 GRAND
