Have you tried westward whiskey? It's an american single malt from portland oregon. Not peated, but crazy fruity. They are probably my favorite american single malt brand.
@@whiskycentral Yeah, it's a really great effort and I fully support using a regional oak variety as a local twist, I just never really believed it would be different enough from white oak to warrant the huge price increase :/ glad you liked it, though!

Might be because of the major taxes in Washington St.
