I bought a 2003 Lincoln town car signature about two months ago, and so far, I'm loving it. The main reasons I bought it instead of a, say, a mustang or an economy car, is because 1, my name is Sterling, (silver) and the car is silver, 2, my middle name is Lincoln (sterling Lincoln) and 3, it's only one year older than I am. Nice! Your sunroof was added on, no L ever came factory with a sunroof. Your sunroof switch is aftermarket. I have a beautiful Light French Silk 2006 Presidential Edition, Signature Limited with a black canvas carriage roof, factory sunroof, and the same chrome wheels. If they had offered the L with a factory sunroof, then that would have been my first choice. In my case I decided I wanted a factory sunroof more than I wanted an L. Yours appears extremely well cared for, some of the high end livery service companies kept their fleet in as new condition. I change my engine oil every 2,500 miles, service the trans every 25k miles, and service the differential every 75k miles. Currently I’m only just past 130k miles, I’m expecting it will go past 500k.
Shweet. That sunroof is definitely aftermarket. and the reason that headliner is sagging. they had to pull out the headliner to make the cutout for the sunroof. and when they re-upholstered it, sadly, didn't use the best materials. an untouched factory liner would not sag like that. that's why I was surprised when he mentioned the sagging liner until you guys got into the car and I saw the sunroof. other than the chrome overload. you can't go wrong with an L. 👍 I have an Executive L. it does not have the heated seats and the wooden steering wheel. I bought a 2005 Lincoln town car signature limited June 28th of this year for 2900.00. It was from an individual. 194,000 miles on it. The transmission and rear differential assembly and axles were rebuilt around a year ago and I have the paper work for this as well. This one has no door dings at all and no scratches but did have some rub marks on the front and rear bumber covers which I fixed already. It has the sun roof and extra chrome that it came with originally such as the wheel fender chrome brows and lower door chrome and center door chrome and I added B pillar chrome. It is white with tan leather interior. No rust on this one at all. I am age 68 and will keep this car for the rest of my life. The original owner even had new tires installed earlier this year. What happened is that the owner I bought it from didnt car about making money and the fact they had the trans and differential rebuilt and new tires, because they received and given a new SUV from a family member as a gift.
