    I've watched 30 videos on connecting two routers with wires. This is the only one that was not Lan to Lan but Lan to Wan. After hours of struggling this solved the issue and allowed me to connect the secondary router to the setup. What made it more difficult for me was that my primary router is a SIM card router too, so no other source of internet either, had to connect to the WAN. This helped, will save and like the video.

    can we have seem less connection between main router wifi and extended router wifi ?
    if not there we always need to select manually between two routers which is same as wifi extender like tp link.
    Is there a way of seemless connection between wifi ranges of main router and extended one? . only mesh router is the option ?

      802.11ac supports upto 1.34gbps datarate(on 80mhz channel) and upto 2.34gbps datarate speed (on 160mhz channel) so if isp speed is below than that nothing to worry.

    Can I connect a wired extended router at 100m distance?

    Approximately at the distance of 100 meters, I stay with my family. So I want to extend my wifi to my home where my family members can use the wifi, in the daytime.

    I have dual band router fiber connection and using Archer A6 as an extender but to my dismay the Archer A6 doesn't make any difference in connection speeds whatsoever. Given the short length of the CAT 5E cable it can only be placed near to the root fiber router which renders it unutilized.

      Yes if you are connecting your dual band router via LAN cable to the main router. Then yes you will get good speeds on 5ghz wifi. But extending it wirelessly won't be that fruitful for you.

    What? I should connect the LAN cable to the Root Router's Lan port and then the END of the cable to the WAN port of the SECONDARY Router? But I saw on the other videos that I should connect it also on the secondary router's lan port. Please tell the exact answer

      I don't think you're right. It's wrong. I should've connected it LAN to LAN

    • @shasamad93
      @shasamad93 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lan to lan it wont work... Cause there's a pattern of input and output... If u selct both side output then from where the secondary router will collect data from internet... I mean ping... Lan port means output... Wan port means input for thr router..

      btw that's AP Mode you are talking about i.e Lan to lan.this video is for all routers.new routers supports different types of working mode like Router Mode,Access Point Mode
      Range Extender Mode,Repeater,Bride Mode,WISP Mode.and some old routers supports only router mode. by default all routers are in router mode. In this video it's router mode.two different subnets.

      No. it's not like that.if you want to use router as AP access point then connect cable to Lan port.new routers supports different types of working mode like Router Mode,Access Point Mode

    I have connected two routers via Lan port. If you connect to wan port, you need to configure different subnet mask, which is not a good idea for dhcp.

      Yes. it will be available for devices connected to that WiFi router only.
      but if you want to access usb from devices connected to extender WiFi router also then use access point mode which will connect two routers on the same network watch
