One of the best and easy tutorial on how to create bridge connection. There are many such here but none worked for me except this one. All missed out on one thing is that under Wireless -> Basic Settings -> Enable WDS -> the password under the Scan Button (5th row) should be the same as your main router so that when bridge is connected this router is authenticated by the main router. All other missed this point in their tutorials. The point missed here is that DHCP (under DHCP Server) has to be disabled for this to work. Thanks friend for keeping it so simple and easy.

Hi Local guy, whcih version of the firmware is runningon the TD-W8968. i dont see WDS button panel when i log in . there is only Wireless -> wireless bridge otpion.
After bridging can you move the 2nd bridged router else where? Where it doesn't get much range? Wirelessly by just connecting the power cable to the room that doesn't get much signal?
I have tried using my TP-Link TL-WR340G as bridge AP. When I logged onto the TP-Link using LAN cable, I can also access to the main AP but cannot connect to internet. Assume now I have to disable DHCP in order for this to work? WiFi signals are transferred through channels which carry the signal. For proper connection of the bridge router and the main router it is necessary for them to be on the same channel. The channel of your main router can be identified by using an app called Wifi analyzer from the play store. Use the channel (from1-11) which you see in the app for your secondary router. Secondly it is advisable to sizable DHCP in the second router as it prevents the bridge from trying to act as the main as well.

It is not necessary for the router to be the same or of the same company but it is advisable to use a router of similar security settings like wpa2 psk etc

The IPA he entered in Chrome [192.168.1.1] was from the secondary router, as the SSID he set was the secondary router SSID and that's where he bridged it to the main router.
