- Welcome to the Seattle Spite House. From the front, this appears to be a normal tiny home. But walk around to the side, and you're in for a big surprise. But it wasn’t frugality or hipness that inspired its unique construction back in 1925, decades before tiny homes were a thing. It was spite. The result is a 2-bedroom, 2-bath “tiny duplex” that’s 16 feet at its widest and 4½ feet at its narrowest. 'It's like a little wedge of cheese.'

I wish you had shown a 360° view and a floor plan. It's impossible to see how and where the house tapers.

Hubby, myself and 2 fur babies live in 740sq ft. it's snug, mainly due to having to much stuff. There isn't much extra space. I'm a soap maker and have a lot of supplies that I store in my closet. The nice thing..... it's easy to clean.

over 800 is NOT tiny, its small, but actually a really pretty home. and yes a duplex because the lower floor looks pretty good too and it also had 2 entryways.

Definitely not tiny, but it is absolutely adorable.
I live in a pretty small house. It was built in 1942. It has two bedrooms two bathrooms a kitchen, a living room, and a dining room. Plus a full basement and one car garage. My house is listed as 750sqft not including the basement and garage... I wouldn't say this is a tiny house. I would say it's a small house like mine.

I do not understand doors to lower levels. How does it not flood when it rains? Or the whole stairwell not fill up entirely with snow? I have never seen a lower level stairwell/door anywhere where I live.

it looks like an old garage for a Model T that was converted. they're too small for modern cars so they get turned into workshops or studio apartments. pretty common for the PacNW

I WANT TO LIVE IN A TINY HOUSE.. The only caveat is that the kitchen, and the bathroom are FARRRRR apart from each other..I've seen tiny homes where these two rooms are next to each other.
