During a heated discussion on the implementation Citizenship Amendment Bill in Lok Sabha, AIMIM Chief Owaisi said that muslims, had too taken oath of the Constitution, then why is there such hatred against them? We are humans and respected citizens of this nation too, he added.

If the goal was to set up an Islamic country, the laws there should have promoted peace within and among Pakistanies. Most of my friends are Pakistani and they are from good families. However all the news about carjackings, theft, murders etc in your country make me wonder why you folks separated. I think Jinnah simply fooled the North Indian Muslims to support a state that would preserve his ancestral lands in Sind from being usurped by a central govt in India. @Afaque Khan The whole point in this CAB (citizenship amendment bill) is to take care of the persecuted minorities of Pakistan and Bangladesh and to an extent in Afganistan. At the time of independence Pakistan had about 20%+ minorities and today they have less then 2% minorities, similarly in Bangladesh they now have 7 or 8%, down from about 15%. Ofcourse Pakistan and Bangladesh did not exist in British India and Afganistan was administered by the British from India and it had contiguous border with India and there some Indians in that part of Asia. All three countries mentioned are professed Islamic Republics. These countries (Pakistan and Bangladesh) which were carved out of India have stridently become more intolerant towards their minorities and their minority populations have dwindled substantially and incase of Pakistan decreased to almost negligible numbers. So India would naturally be the place for these minorities to migrate and all this bill is doing is to grant these minorities with Indian citizenship. Now some people have mentioned in various TV debates as why not this bill does not include Myanmar, Srilanka and rest of the world ?. This is very fallacious argument. These countries were never a part of British India. India is the only largest vibrant secular democracy and it will remain so whether somebody agrees or not. Every advanced western democracies have this citizenship process that every individual goes thru inorder to establish their bonafides of a Citizenship. The muslims or sects within Islam which are persecuted in these two countries always have the asylum route to come to India. Some people have mentioned Ahmediya's....well at the time of partition Ahmediyas went enmass to be with Pakistan...so they made their choice. If they still feel insecure in their own adopted country.... then they always have the asylum route to apply and come to India. That is why this bill is a very specific amendment to citizenship law of India. The native muslims of India are not affected by this amendment. If some sects within Islam feel so threatened in these Islamic Republics then its a shame that they cannot tolerate a minority few of their own brethren. So what is the fuss about ?. India and Indians feel very proud about their diversity and its a work in progress to become a more perfect union. Our minority populations are thriving and prospering and they have made immense contributions in science, medicine, industry, space, IT and so on for the development of this country. India is the only country in the world after US where minorities can aspire to become politicians and become ministers, presidents, army chiefs, defense ministers and even prime ministers etc. This does not happen in any Islamic republics in the world.

What is happening now is called "Perfection" or "Improvement". Improved version is always better than basic version or starting version.

Infact Modi Government should also focus on bringing India's branding as an ancient Bharatvarsha's indentity. Islam is only a 700 years to 1000 years episode in Indian context but Bharat is minimum a 1,00,000 year old history so those 99,300 of years must be visible in one way or other. From Ramayana period to Mahabharat period to Chadragupta Maurya period should also be visible in Indian culture. This Taj Mahal and Mughal period bullshit has unnecessarily glued islam to India's culture which is not tru picture of Indian culture. All these words such as Taj Mahal, Kabobs, Mughlai food and all these things should be removed from Indian tourism's website so that World see Indian keeping its true color alive and not become another Mullah occupied Country with 2 million Halal meat shops.

Everyone welcomes the humanitarian aspect of the bill. The bill should say "all persecuted victims of neighbouring countries are welcome". Isn't there a special reason to mention religion in it? Isn't that's what creating this whole opposition of the act? You don't care about Jews being forcefully converted to Islam?

I understood CAB very clearly and I didn't find any issues in this bill. If Indian Muslims are safe here then why they are protesting and doing violence in India? It's really good idea to know about citizens of our country through this bill. It's really bad to see that opposition leaders are misguiding minority ( Muslims). If they ll go in proper way and make them understand about this bill then there will be no violence.
