Hey man I used to see your bmw when I was in high school, i lived by your neighborhood. I have an e46 335ci now. I have this same issue but it says misfire with fuel cut off on 5 and 6 but if I clear the code it runs perfect. I have changed fuel pump, maf sensor, intake boot, vacuum lines, crankshaft sensor, coils I am stumped
Smoke test the intake system for leaks seems that it’s getting air in somewhere they are know for carbon on the valve but seeing two cylinder next to each other 5-6 I believe you have an air leak
Great info. I’ve struggled with this lean issue on the e46, vacuum tested it, and fixed a vacuum leak. Never thought plugs and misfire would be the issue. Do you reset the code or does it go away in its own?
My 04 325I stalls if it's 75F degrees or hotter, alot of engine pinging, misfires I guess before stalling, but always on in a few tries. And once it happens continues every few minutes, I think it's vapor lock because if I get gas quick, I can go a long time before it happens again.
My 2015 f150 has bank 1 an 3 on my coyote an I heard it can be a 02 senor I have 4 on mine is that right just making sure earl you have a link for the scan tool I use my temp gun on the manifold by each cylinder an that tells me to that it's a plug or coil to
No you have 2= 02 sensors and 2 catalytic convertor sensors the ones behind the cats don’t control fuel only the two front sensors do 👍👍and normally the pre heater fail in them 💯
If you moved that bad plug to the other bank, wouldn’t you just get a lean code for that bank? Why would you get a lean condition for both banks for only one spark plug on one bank? Thanks for your help.
What do you think about a 2010 5.3 silverado with a misfire under a load , like when sitting at a red light or pulling a light trailer ? No codes are thrown. New coils , new wires , plugs are not that old.Also does it worse after it's been driven for over a hour or more. Transmission is newly rebuilt. Thanks Earl.

Fuel Injectors MAF Sensor, Exhaust Cam Shaft Sensor Ignition Coils Spark Plugs, (NGK) Fuel Pump Intake boot (lower and upper) Disa Valve Upstream both oxygen sensors crankshaft sensor Intake camshaft sensor Igition coil wiring harness Still hasn't fixed the issue... ima try another tune up and see. Replaced all this a month ago now and much more stuff. Just haven't replaced the catalytic Converter o2 sensors or fuel filter yet. My Valve cover gaskets for the plug just the whole valve cover gaskets came thru and my I take manifold gasket as well yesterday. Haven't installed them yet tho it's too damn hot outside

Having this issue with my 01 BMW325ci and just recently replaced all 6 Ignition Coils and Spark plugs but still having a misfire issue. With codes P1071 & P0174 System too lean banks 1 and 2 please help and after watching this video I’m thinking if i just got a bad batch of Spark plugs they only have 2,068 miles on them smh .
That’s exactly what I’m putting together now! I just eliminated the airbox and installed the K&N cold air intake and while I was in there I was checking for any common leaks. Which, in fact I did have one in the intake boots. So replaced it as well with the vacuum lines. Also new codes popped up today with P1083 & P1085 :(

Because the brake booster line looks great along with the jet pumps lines going to the cold air intake and fuel filter, lines, all fresh along with the secondary air pump line. The only one I wasn’t able to get to was the control valve .
Im getting misfire with low fuel in cylinder 1,2 and 5... i got the 2001 bmw e46 5 speed manual.... my engine is going nuts.. misfiring so bad... whats causing this? I replaced fuel injectors remanufactured, disa valve, coils and sparks and cleaned the ICV..... i noticed that when i unplugged 1, 2 and 5 from the coil nothing happenes but 3,4 and 6 when unplugged makes the engine act up more.. so ik those 3 are good but whats causing this codes... p1343, p1351, p1345.... those are the codes... helpp me.. i have cam shaft sensors coming in and a fuel pump.. my last resort.... i cant even drive it thats how bad it is because it stalls...
2001 bmw 530i I have a cylinder 5 misfire with fuel cut off changed plugs twice injectors swapped coils to a different bank/ cylinder compression test was good. I have smoke coming out of exhaust when code pops up smells like burning oil. Fixed vacuum leaks still cyl 5 misfire can’t get it to go. Any help ?
@@earlmoorhead5555 smoke tested I want to say about 2 months ago and was leaking from DISA gasket area and valve cover was cracked. I changed the gasket with a new cover and added silicone to the gasket around that disa valve, fixed the leak but how do I know if it’s pcv/ crankcase issue ? Any tests for diagnosis?
@@devyngarcia313 normally the dipstick tube and silicone won’t last on the disa valve the fuel eats the silicone I’m pretty sure it’s a dipstick tube clogged or disa valve gasket or a oil cap valve cover crack as there known for cracking but the smoke should show you even the smallest smoke will effect the center cylinder the dipstick tube vent return you’ll have to push something threw it to see a oil buildup clog good luck 👍

You have a vacuum leak under the intake manifold smoke test it and seal the leaks

It will go away with a few key cycles on it own but if it turned a cylinder off best to clear the codes to turn the injector back on

That's what I thought on the 02 sensors if the scanner is saying ank 2 it could be 02 going out

Im really hoping this is the problem with my vehicle. I have all those same symptoms but on both banks and cylinders

Need to smoke test could be a bad mass air meter or a vacuum leak need to smoke test it

Normally the occ system is all cracked up under the intake causing many random codes

Need to smoke test for leaks and check the oil cap and level stick to make sure they are sealing correctly
Seems there is a leak in crank case ventilation somewhere that’s why it’s on the center cylinder to me 👌smoke test it should show the leak
