Congrats, Juliana, on a 9 out of 10 score on this. You really deserve this, I know how closely you listen to us ukulele players and how hard you work. This looks so elegant and comfortable and sounds so articulate. Well done 😊👍🏻🎶🎵
Oh man, go out of my head! :) I looked in two shops today if they have it to test. No luck for me. But now after seeing your review, i ordered it! :D Thanks a lot!
Thanks for this review, I ordered this exact model 2 weeks ago as it has every perk that I wanted, comfort arm, cut away, and it’s electric! Can’t wait to receive it here in California. Hope you enjoyed your beer 🍻😎
I've been thinking about getting a Tenor. Ohhh I am sooo tempted. Little bit pricey for me at the moment, but I would definitely be buying one if I could. Beautiful, beautiful instrument with a fabulous sound. I love it. Thank you for the review! I'll keep it in my wish basket.
Thanks for the excellent honest review, went with your recommendations, superb instrument very happy with it,played great straight out of the box ,thank you
For me it it seem to be the perfect uke. The head, the shape of the body, and most important of all, the sound!! ☺ I'm planning to buy one ☺ By the way, the price for this particular model is now about 210 £. That's 2 444 swedish crown. And a couple of pound for shipping of course. Thanks for a wonderful review. You are the best ❤
The beauty and design deserves an all solid instrument, but many will appreciate this price. A starter ukulele to be proud of. Glad to see the wider nut width and unobtrusive pickup. Cheers, Baz, a beer sounds good.
@@GotAUkulele Yes there are many very, very good blended whiskies., but there is something about one distilled from a single, climate specific grain and lovingly tended which expresses a subtle character unavaiable to the combined elixir . . . lovingly tended being operative.
Edward Petersen true - but each have their place. I’ve come across some staggeringly good laminate instruments that punch higher than many solid wood ukes. Kiwaya for example
@@GotAUkulele Agree 100% I've blundered into a few pretty awful solid wood instruments and have been surprised by a few laminate beauties. Still it's the Martin not the Kiwaya which goes into the treasure chest if I had to choose. All that being said, I'd be proud to own that Flight Victoria Tenor.
Hey Barry. Nice review. It was a perfect addition to my UAS on this gloomy, rainy day. (Rainy in Wisconsin, USA) I ordered one from MusicRoom, only to learn that they are still selling the 2018 model, with the "old" FU-T3 pickup. (At least that's what the order form implied) I'm still trying to cancel the order, or get them to find and sent the 2019 model! As with you, I prefer the non-eq models as I rarely use an amp.
@@GotAUkulele Well... MusicRoom sent the 2018 version. I sent it back. After 4 email exchanges I learned that they have no way of determining which version is being sent. Flight doesn't "code" the box in a way that shows 2018 v. 2019. You get whatever is pulled from stock in their NL warehouse. Flight says that they sent a number of 2019 models to MusicShop/Room .... perhaps that's what is going to showrooms. I've inquired to them through their Contacts page, asking how I order the 2019 model and received no reply. Buyer beware.
Hi @s2s_Parrot Fan I’m sorry to hear that you’ve had problems with your order. One of our Customer Services Team will be in touch shortly and I’m confident we can get the right ukulele to you.
Thank you for the thorough review. I am having difficulties to decide what tenor ukulele to buy. This Flight Victoria CEQ Tenor ukulele, I have tried in a music store and was impressed by the sound and feel of the instrument. At the same time I tried a Martin T1-K sopran ukulele which also sounded amazing. But I want to purchase a tenor ukulele and there is a second hand 2014 Martin T1-K tenor ukulele for 450 € which I haven't tried (couldn't find it in a music store). So my question for purely sound and feel of the instrument is the MartinT1-K for 450 € a big different compare to a new Flight Victoria CEQ Tenor for 292 €. Cheers
Don't think that is something I could fairly compare - the woods and finishes are totally different. Feel will also be very subjective to your own hand and body size.
Hi Barry Have you produced a video on how to fit an under saddle pickup yet. If not I’d love to see one as I’d like to fit one to my Baritone Uke. Thanks for your excellent videos. Cheers Keith

Thanks for the nice review. I love the sound of a spruce top. If its only about the sound, not the price: would you choose the "Flight Victoria" or "Tiny Tenor Spruce Top"?
I've sent an email to Flight today asking if they're still making these and they told me that the only passive option they're making right now is black travel models, making the one in this review unavailable to purchase, and told me to look in used instruments market. Shame really.
I played one of these a month ago in a shop in Notthingham and was disappointed. I think I was unlucky to play one that was a bit off. The frets were sharp and the tone very bright. Almost bears no resemblance to the one you played. Next time I see one in the shop I'll give it another whirl and see if I like it as spec-wise it ticks all the boxes
To be honest - even with the highest end ukuleles, issues can creep out of the workshop. I once saw a Koaloha that was over £1,000 and the setup was appalling. The blame here is partly with the music shop in question. No decent music shop should put anything on the wall in a bad state.
Hi Baz, great review as always. l’m seriously thinking of getting one of these. Do you remember if it had a fairly thick neck profile around the 1st/2nd fret area? I really like chunky necks. With the 38mm nut, it sounds ideal for me. Regards Chris
Hey Baz! I’ve seen your review on the Enya M6 from 2018 - I was quite tempted to grab that one since it was an all solid mahogany. This uke looks amazing as well however and now I’m in a bit of a condundrum haha. Would you mind telling me the differences between the two and which you like best? I’d appreciate it. Thanks.
I never proffer advice as to which is best between ukuleles, as it is totally subjective and personal. I gave the Victoria a slightly better score which tells you what I think is better, but that's just me. As for differences - you'd need to read the full reviews next to each other. Thank you for this review, Baz! Look, is the passive system REALLY OK? Because lots of people say that it's likely to behave uncontrollably in a live situation... Can I have you brief opinion on that?
