    Great line-up. Your lilac Estie is beautiful and you couldn't have chosen a more perfect ink!

      I'm really loving the new Estie, and while I've been a fan of Pennonia's inks for a bit, this may be my new favorite. Thanks for watching!

    Yayyyy Christy! You chose a great first pen/nib to use that rose gold antiqua in! I LOVE IT!!! Your mediums should work well with it! And even some Jowo Fines will work well depending on the pen. My Edison Pen Co Fine and its feed works so well with Tokyo Bay Blue - which is a dry ink that has clogged my twsbis, but not my edison pen yet.

      Thanks for the advice about the Jowo fines! And it really is so up in the air from ink to ink. My TWSBI EFs have even handled some of FWP's Alice collection pretty well, but then their colors like Majestic Maple just refuse to be functional even in my broader nibs. 🤷‍♀ And then my dry RO issues don't even have to do with their shimmer inks. I can't get Barossa Grape or Blue Black to write in my EF Decimo to save my life, and I'm so sad about that because I love the two colors. #firstworldpenproblems

    I love the Vinta Lakambini. I use it in my medium nib pens and it always writes so beautifully. I am in love with the pinkish gold color. Sometimes it changes to a greenish color when it reflects the light. Don’t give up on it!!

      I'm not totally giving up. I think I just need to find the right nib. One of my IG friends uses it a lot, and it always looks amazing, so I know it's possible. I'm just having a rough start. LOL Thank you for watching!

      Same here! I dont know how to make it work for me i find the shimmer clogs up my pens and hard to clean😢 but i love it still
      So far it's doing ok on my omniflex nib but i may have to transfer it to a stub nib
      May i ask what medium nib pen do you use?;)

    Beautiful pairings! Can we have some real talk? I'm pretty new to fountain pens. Do you write your pens out if ink every month? Or do you have to dump ink sometimes? (I feel like it's kind of taboo to even talk about possibly dumping ink. Ha ha!)

      Hello! You can always have real talk in my comments section. 😋 I don't usually do a full draw when I ink up most of my pens. As you might be able to see in the TWSBI Eco, I'll do a 1/4 or 1/2 draw, especially with an ink I'm not too sure about. At the end of the month, I've usually written most pens dry, and the ones that still have ink are dumped, but the loss is usually pretty minimal. To me, if you buy inks, you want to be able to use and enjoy them. I would never leave a pen inked with something that I'm tired of just so it's not "wasteful," so I think you should go ahead and do what you will with your purchases, you know? I hope this makes you feel more comfortable about whatever you decide to do as far as your own ink collection goes. Thank you so much for watching!!

    That Estie is gorgeous! I have an Estie with a Journaler nib and have a hard time writing with it. How is the Scribe different. I notice you didn't do any cursive in the example, is the scribe nib meant only for printing?

    • @snarkywordsworth

      I really do LOVE the Journaler nib so much. Which Estie colorway do you have? So with the Scribe, the downstrokes are thin and the horizontal strokes are wide. It's essentially a modified Architect nib designed to work well for a mass audience - and it totally does! You can absolutely write in cursive with it, and I have in some other samples, but I think nibs like this (variations on the Architect) shine more when print writing. Anyway, thank you so much for watching!

    That Pennonia ink reminds me of "Purple Gallinule" from Anderillium. Have you tried any of the Anderillium inks? By the way, I like that you use the "Sphinx of black quartz..." pangram and not the tired old "The quick brown fox..." that seems to be everywhere else. 😉

    • @snarkywordsworth
      @snarkywordsworth  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Awww. Thank you for noticing about the pangram! ☺And I've been hearing more and more about Anderllirium inks for a while now. Do you have any particular favorites you would recommend I try first?
