Hey! Did you know that there's also grey transparent barrel for the Hocoro? They call it Smoke Barrel variant. I got that one and combine it with the fude nib! I was going for the clear body as well, but then I see that my local stationery online store also have a stock on the smoke Hocoro barrel. I immediately chose that one because I love see through stuff and grey is my favorite color too.

Any update on the nib section of this pen? I have one in my cart but am a little hesitant.

Two more excellent gray inks you may not have tried. (1) Noodler’s Clairvoyent Slate. This transparent, bulletproof ink is darker than Noodler’s Lexington Gray (I assume you have already tried Lexington Gray.) it behaves well and is entirely waterproof. JetPens has it. (2) HongDian Gray. The HongDian inks are free-flowing, intensely colored, and inexpensive on Amazon. This gray is fairly dark with some partial water resistance. I highly recommend both these gray inks. The Clairvoyent Slate is especially great for drawing followed by a watercolor wash (so is the lighter Lexington Gray) but it behaves well enough to be good as an everyday writing ink as well.

The Video Games list got me! Had to sub after that lol (100% did prior to that). I do recommend Sea of Stars. Such a great old school style JRPG with more recent functions and stuff. Beautiful game and story.

I think a teeny thing underneath the baby pen could help. Like a foam earplug to make it sit up higher would help.

Hypnotic could be an appropriate name. Due to the produced efect and there is no another fountain pen with such a name, as far I am aware.

Omg lol I bought my undyed Galen leather just for the pen loop and the secretary pocket. Don’t use it as a wallet either for my olive tn. Sadly my olive is not green at all but brown. My standard olive has the green undertone. The brownish one did not have the suede feel as my greenish one did. I envy that patina how beautiful. Praying my passport patinas like my standard green olive did. I had the standard customized by Baum kuchen. Loved this video.

Just picked up this very model, hasn't arrived yet. Incredible price even taking into account the more expensive music nib. Can't wait for it to arrive, but one has to be circumspect given the state of international postage at the moment.

I have 2 Benus and both are mediums. If I get another, it’ll definitely be a fine. I bought my other 2 in my medium/broad era 😂 if I ever have a dry or seriously shimmery ink, it goes into the Benu and it’s always a much better experience. Also, the nib is always so smooth. It’s some kinda magic 😂✨

Great video. May I suggest a Pilot MS nib. Music Stub. I bought a Custom 74 with a MS nib. Would put some flair in your writing. Perfect for writing greetings card. Refer a review by Marcho Chiari. Tq.

What a sparkly pretty pen! I have 2 Benu's with medium nibs, I think if I buy another one it will be with a fine nib just to have some variety. Thank you for sharing Christy :)

It's very cool looking; I like it a lot, but that name is so damned stupid. I know it's some drink, but that doesn't help. I hate alcohol. If they give the pen a moronic name, conversely, I might buy a pen if I like the name, even if another pen might look a little better.

I think some of the Benu pens are really pretty but I am bugged by the gold in the pen and silver colored nib and clip. I like all components of a pen to match.

I love Benu, have several, even one from Goldspot but this one is a dud. Looks like a yellow plastic pen and not worth the price. If you want a yellow pen buy a Kaweco sport frosty yellow for $30. If you want a Benu any other option is nicer than this one. Goldspot has some other great options for Benu.

My first Benu is a Talisman Sandalwood and I love it. So there will be more. 😁❤️

I have two Benu Euphorias and both are in Fine nibs. I love how juicy they are and yes, even my FWP shimmer inks (Cabernet on the Lake and Song of Scarlet) flow brilliantly. After having these inks in for weeks, the shimmer still hasn't clogged.

Hi Christy, such a lovely colour palette you have going for this month. My Pilot E95s is a medium and very juicy, I have to be careful to not put a too saturated ink in it, but it is always a joy to write with. Take care and have a great week :)

This review is very helpful since I’m looking at picking up a mini vac. I have a Vac 700r and use it as a daily writer. Looking at the mini vac as a motorcycle traveling pen. As far as filling the vac, I use the vac20 bottle. But I did not have any problems filling from a plain ink bottle. Just make sure the nib is all the into the ink.

I’m glad I found this review. I ordered a E95S in Black with the extra fine nib. I prefer extra fine for my pocket pens since I use them in small pocketbooks when traveling by motorcycle. I prefer a fine or medium nib for my normal journaling and Morning Pages. My current traveling pen is a Pilot Prera in extra fine but I wanted to try a gold nib and this looked like the best bang for the buck. Thank You again for this review.

I love the red Mont Blanc ink especially with that esterbrook pen. wow, a great combo.
