My personal feeling is any flashbacks, any references back towards the Republic in War Time, should be very warlike in tension. Anakin and Obi spent a lot of time in muddy trenches, waiting for a plan to foment. Like our World War 1. To have an ally and rank up brother in an order to turn so hard. To be a Sith. Ouch time. Imagine you're a Jew and your best of your efforts, Anakin, becomes a Nazi, somehow. That's Anakin and Obi Wan. That's got to hurt. Big time. Anne Frank (Kenobi) versus a mix of Goebbels and Hemmler. Vader was a stark fist of Palps. Nevermind what he personally felt he was. He served that function for two decades minimum. Under job description in a Carl's Jr. Employee form... Minion.
It's too bad there were no upper tier masters left in the temple (besides Shaak Ti, depending on which of her deaths you consider canon) who could make for interesting fights for Anakin
While Sidious was cloaking his own presence in the Force, the Jedi were so unaccustomed to sensing the Sith, and the Dark Side in general, that they just didn't know what it felt like anymore. It had simply passed from living memory, even Yoda's (which is why even he was blind to it until it was too late). They only knew something was wrong. While some of that was wishful thinking, a blind spot that had been fostered by the Jedi council to keep more watchful Jedi from spreading "gossip", their pride kept them from believing that an uprising of the Dark Side was even possible.
It was a natural ability for him from a young age, though it’s also stated in the Darth Plagueis novel that he and Sidious combined to turn the force towards the dark side, making it more receptive to their abilities, and clouding the senses of the Jedi. Because the Jedi didn’t know the Sith were around at this point, they didn’t know why their abilities were ‘clouded,’ but I’m sure that helped as well.
The Jedi had all kinds of ongoing experience with the dark side during the clone wars and before, and with enough jedi going dark before then, for hundreds of years. They could feel it solar systems away. What made the Sith special though is they could become, the two of them, locus points for the whole of the dark side, and yet could use the force to project banality, to literally cloak their nature from others. The closer they were to the Jedi, the better they worked the skill. Plagueis spoke long on this to Palpatine, and even in the days of Darth Bane, he taught Zannah to do it so well, she was able to go in to the Jedi archives itself, and no one knew. It was just by pure, almost bad luck, her cousin spotted her there.
I think we'll see a little of why Kenobi dismissed those red flags in Anakin. Kenobi's master was far more wise, at least in Kenobi's mind, he would see what Anakin was doing and dismiss it due to the idea that he was the chosen one. I think this and their bond is what kept him from seeing the truth.
I'm listening to this audiobook right now and it's awesome and it definitely goes into more detail than the movie. Explains a lot more. I definitely like the part when Anakin cut off Dooku's head. Before he cuts his head off Dooku realizes he's been used this whole time as a tool!! And Anakin was the real apprentice of Sidious!! I wish they would have put that in the movie.

Anakin isn't WHOLLY bad but he's done some REPREHENSIBLE things. It's like Tigerclaw from Warrior Cats. He was a very well respected warrior, but turned into a kitty serial killer to claw his way to power. So all anyone remembers is his horrors rather than his good deeds.

Another great read/listen is "Master and Apprentice," where we meet a young Obi-Wan who struggles with his master Qui-Gon's rule bending and his, Kenobi's, growth into jedi Knighthood.
Palpatine was able to prevent the entire Jedi Council and all the other knights and younglings from feeling him in the force. Yes, he probably did that on purpose. Perhaps Anakin was doing something similar but not consciously. Therefore Jerock (sp) couldn't feel that he fell to the Dark Side. Or maybe it's the other way around - maybe Anakin's power was so strong at that moment that he was able to block or reduce Jerock's (sp) senses of the Force and his intentions. As you read, it seemed that Jerock knew something was wrong but couldn't pinpoint it.
I think that the best way they could show the temple stuff in Kenobi, because he only saw so much footage with his own eyes, would be somewhat regular force nightmares that eventually end up showing him about the entirety of at least Anakin's downfall, and with Yoda, other masters. This could easily be linked with Vader either having similar things or if he's sort of just doing that unintentionally by forcing so much of the dark side onto the universe with Sidious as they look for all of the remaining Jedi. Also didn't you already have a video talking about this exact gatekeeper's death?

Something Jeremy Jahns pointed out that BLEW MY MIND is that every time a Jedi ignited their sabers in the movies with the intent to pick the fight, they were the ones making the bad decisions, and almost always lost the fight as a result. In A New Hope Obi-Wan didn't have his saber ignited until he saw Vader in the mechanical flesh with HIS saber already lit-VADER picked the fight and I'm willing to bet Vader would've lost hadn't Obi-Wan sacrificed himself. In Empire Strikes Back LUKE had his saber ignited LUKE picked the fight, Luke Lost. In Return of the Jedi Luke struck his saber with intent to kill Palpatine, but THEY ADDRESS it Palpatine is cackling cause he's all "yeeeeah baby THOSE are the wrong decisions we're looking for." In Phantom Menace Maul struck his saber first then Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan lit theirs up they didn't pick the fight Maul did. But then you have stuff in AOTC and ROTS where the JEDI are the ones failing the test like Anakin and Kenobi strike their sabers first against Dooku Obi-Wan strikes his first against Anakin, and Anakin is all "You will try" I think that could be a way to see how the Jedi had fallen they were too eager to pick fights. Hell even in TFA Kylo was the one to strike his saber first, he lost, he was picking the fight. Rey only ignited the saber as a defense and slashed at him to get away. In TLJ Luke had his saber out, but Kylo was raring to go, he picked the fight and then Luke disengaged his saber, Luke was killed but that was a self sacrifice like Obi-Wan. In Rise of Skywalker during their fight on Kimji REY had the saber lit REY lost that fight.

How far did he go into the darkside that he was still able to come back from it? His motives at first, while selfish, were out of passion and fear. But he never went to the point (as bad as what he did was) where he couldn't come back from it.
I really want order 66 flash backs so bad more than anything rather if we're gonna experience it from Vaders point of view in the Kenobi show or Ashoka's/Luke's/Grogu's Point of view in a upcoming post return of the jedi production

You should do a star wars cinematic competition basically using unreal engine 5. One was done last year and the cinematics that came out of it were amazing, especially the darth vader one where he visits Padme's grave on Naboo. If you put a competition out you'd defo get amazing entries and us viewers would have even more awesome cinematics and short films to watch.
Can't wait for Kenobi. Also can't wait for Ahsoka. Kinda hoping we get a little insight into the redeemed Anakin's feelings as he reflects upon the actions he took to try and save Padme being the direct and immediate cause of the very thing he was actually trying so hard to prevent.
For anyone that hasn't listened to the audible version of Kenobi. I just want to let you know that it's absolutely amazing. I loved every minute of it.
I'd love it if we saw way more of Order 66 in the Vader fan film series; not just at the Temple, but on other planets as well. With Disney's takeover, we see more and more Jedi survived the purge, which kinda takes away how devastating it actually was. And since we know Jedi usually went in groups during battles, the survivors with Mace could show their own experiences with Order 66 being the sole survivors of their groups, some of them surviving by sheer luck like a fall off a cliff and being presumed dead, or witnessing the clones kill their fellow Jedi and running before they themselves could be killed. Mace could show how he made his way back to the Temple, slowed by his injuries, only to find the Temple burning, explosions breaking apart sections of walls here and there, and clone pilots destroying Jedi fighters before they can take off. But the sight that would really stay with him was the sight of a hooded and cloaked figure up in the Council chamber swinging and cleaving his blue lightsaber through the air again and again.
You say that Anakin wasn't a bad man, but that he was just willing to do anything to save Padme. That's the definition of a bad man. A fool who will recklessly kill countless innocent people (including children!), for his own gain. He was a bad man, but he wasn't beyond redemption...that's a better and more accurate way of putting it.
Have you ever done a “what if” - if Anakin bends the knee when Sidious reveals himself instead of going back to Mace? Meaning - probably - Anakin would have to handle the same Jedi that went after Sidious (and maybe more)? Just curious how you think that would change the Anakin vs Kenobi duel (if at all)
I feel like people should check out the audiobook Clone Wars:Wild Space... Bale Organa and Obi-Wan go on a mission together. Gave me a whole new insight on both the characters
Makes sense. Nobody saw what Anakin would become including his own Master who spent the most time with him. Yoda may have had an inkling but was flawed in that he never gave in to what he saw in the future. He admits as much in ESB when he tells Luke he doesn't know if his friends would die. He almost refused to look past the present. I picked up some this vibe when reading Master and Apprentice and how Qui-Gon would talk about prophecies and how it was frowned upon by the Council. There are so many question to ask. That is what makes all of this super exciting. Fill in small pieces of the story. Cannot wait for KENOBI!!!!
I was thinking maybe the reason the Gate Keeper didn't think twice about Anakin entering the Temple is because Anakin was technically on The Jedi Council a very High Rank on top of being a General of the Clone Army 🤓🤔
The Jedi did sense that something horrible was happening it's just they were so clouded by the dark side, they couldn't see that it was happening literally right in front of them.
I don't like the narrative that Kenobi learns that Vader is alive on a TV screen in a Bar! Hopefully the retcon that and have him see him in the flesh, perhaps that could be their fight scene, Kenobi is on Coruscant and he is being chased by the Inquisitors and comes face to face with Vader!
I dont how with his force powers he couldnt tell that Padme was having twins,, was that ever explained or reasoned away? Also this dude is world worst gate keeper and force user. Couldnt sense the entire 501st right outside, or the evil raging in Anakin at this time? He shouldve been the janitor or something.
RoTS novel is really, really, great! Everyone should listen to it! Episode 1 is really good too. Actually everyone should just listen to Episodes 1-3. It just enriches the prequels that we already love. Dew it.
I mean. I remember in rebels they try probing Vader's Mind. so maybe his power is very resistant and the dark side clouded their vison. I mean Many Jedi had just been killed by Sidious and Order 66. A massive wound could have been in the force they just couldn't pin point what was going on the force was basically being wounded and disturbed in so many places.
Maybe Disney could make a 4 or 6 episode show showing Operation Knightfall? We could see Jedi get murdered. Wouldn’t it be nice to Shaak Ti finally die on tape? We could see Grogu get carried away and Joscata Nu could flee the temple.

Arguably Vader/Anakin could be seen as a puppet, not dissimilar from Dooku, Ventris, Maul and the entirety of the Trade Federation.
In this, a puppet had the habit of cutting its strings. Exceeding Palatine's designs. Maul persisted. Vader was a ticking time bomb of redemption.
Evil betrays itself through oversight. Arrogance. Very George Lucas.
I've always wanted more on Order 66. I wish they had put more on what was happening at the temple, in the movie. Sooo excited about Kenobi!!!❤️

You say that Anakin wasn't a bad man, but that he was just willing to do anything to save Padme. That's the definition of a bad man. A fool who will recklessly kill countless innocent people (including children!), for his own gain. He was a bad man, but he wasn't beyond redemption...that's a better and more accurate way of putting it.

Have you ever done a “what if” - if Anakin bends the knee when Sidious reveals himself instead of going back to Mace? Meaning - probably - Anakin would have to handle the same Jedi that went after Sidious (and maybe more)? Just curious how you think that would change the Anakin vs Kenobi duel (if at all)

Makes sense. Nobody saw what Anakin would become including his own Master who spent the most time with him. Yoda may have had an inkling but was flawed in that he never gave in to what he saw in the future. He admits as much in ESB when he tells Luke he doesn't know if his friends would die. He almost refused to look past the present. I picked up some this vibe when reading Master and Apprentice and how Qui-Gon would talk about prophecies and how it was frowned upon by the Council. There are so many question to ask. That is what makes all of this super exciting. Fill in small pieces of the story. Cannot wait for KENOBI!!!!

I was thinking maybe the reason the Gate Keeper didn't think twice about Anakin entering the Temple is because Anakin was technically on The Jedi Council a very High Rank on top of being a General of the Clone Army 🤓🤔
The Jedi did sense that something horrible was happening it's just they were so clouded by the dark side, they couldn't see that it was happening literally right in front of them.

I'd say that dude couldn't sense anakin's intentions because anakin wasn't fully aware of what he was gonna do yet either he was just in the moment

I don't like the narrative that Kenobi learns that Vader is alive on a TV screen in a Bar! Hopefully the retcon that and have him see him in the flesh, perhaps that could be their fight scene, Kenobi is on Coruscant and he is being chased by the Inquisitors and comes face to face with Vader!
I dont how with his force powers he couldnt tell that Padme was having twins,, was that ever explained or reasoned away? Also this dude is world worst gate keeper and force user. Couldnt sense the entire 501st right outside, or the evil raging in Anakin at this time? He shouldve been the janitor or something.
When I think of the 1st Jedi Master. I think of that Boss fight from the Revenge of the Sith PS2 game. I forgot his name, but MAN he was hard.
RoTS novel is really, really, great! Everyone should listen to it! Episode 1 is really good too. Actually everyone should just listen to Episodes 1-3. It just enriches the prequels that we already love. Dew it.

I mean. I remember in rebels they try probing Vader's Mind. so maybe his power is very resistant and the dark side clouded their vison. I mean Many Jedi had just been killed by Sidious and Order 66. A massive wound could have been in the force they just couldn't pin point what was going on the force was basically being wounded and disturbed in so many places.
This book was so awesome I basically see the novelisation as canon as it came out when the movie did
Maybe Disney could make a 4 or 6 episode show showing Operation Knightfall? We could see Jedi get murdered. Wouldn’t it be nice to Shaak Ti finally die on tape? We could see Grogu get carried away and Joscata Nu could flee the temple.
